Khadi Fresh Lemon Face Wash With Neem and Tulsi Review

Howdy friends! I love trying and searching new face washes and when it comes down to herbal products, I get it as soon as possible. So, I bought Khadi Fresh Lemon (with Neem and Tulsi) Face Wash last year and I will review it for you today. Here are the details.

Claims of the Face Wash:

An Aloe vera and Tulsi with Glycerine based face wash which cleanses the skin and gives nourishment to the skin. Ideal preparation for face wash.


Price and quantity: 

Rs. 60 for 100 ml, Rs. 120 for 210 ml.

Key Ingredients: 

(In each 1000 ml contains) Citrus Lemon 1g, Citraus Reticulate Blanco 3g, Ocimum Sanctum 3g, Aloe vera 10ml, Glycerine 5ml. SLES 350ml., Preservative 3.5g, Purified water to make 1000ml.

Usage Directions: 

Rub into wet face and hand, massage well and wash off.

Shelf life: 

24 months.

My Take on Khadi Fresh Lemon Face Wash:

Khadi Fresh Lemon (with Neem and Tulsi) Face Wash comes in a slim transparent bottle with a flip top cap. The bottle is quite sturdy but the cap is not. I broke the flip within a few days :P

It is a thick transparent yellow color gel. The weird thing about this face wash is it smells like detergent powder (Really!) It lathers well and only a small amount is enough. It cleans well, but leaves a slippery effect that won’t go ever (even after 15-20 splashes and rubbing). It makes my skin dry after washing, and I feel an urge to apply moisturizer right after it. I have not seen any good effect after using this face wash, other than washing my face. But the gel itself gives me the feel that how much chemicals are infused in it; also it contains SLES and Preservative.

I have used many face washes right from Lakme Fruit Blast to Ponds Activated Carbon Face Wash to Clean & Clear Face Wash, but honestly, had not experienced this bad! I have used it only for a few days until I bought a different face wash. And ever since I am using it as my pedicure wash. Khadi is one of my favorite herbal brands; I loved Khadi Triphala hair oil, Khadi Kesar Peeling Srcub Gel, Khadi Jasmine Massage Oil, but it breaks my heart when I see products like this. Overall, it’s a total waste of money while doing harm (SLES and preservatives) to my facial skin.

Why I like this Face Wash?:

  • Cleans my skin.

Why I don’t like this Face Wash?:

  • Contains SLES, preservatives.
  • Smells like detergent powder.
  • Leaves a slippery effect.
  • Dries out my skin.
  • Not an herbal product.
  • Does not rinse off easily.

Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Anti Acne Oil Control Face Wash Review

Good day amigos!
I am today reviewing Lotus Tea Tree & Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash. I have never used Lotus face washes, its name got me interested and I thought of giving it a try. So, moving on to the review, here are the details.

Claims:

Lotus Tea Tree & Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash is specially formulated for acne-prone and oily-skin. This oil-control anti acne face wash contains Tea Tree oil, Cinnamon and Oak Bark extracts which removes excessive oils while regulating the sebum (oil) production in the skin. These special ingredients in this premium face wash decrease acne-type lesions and combat free radicals leaving the skin fresh, clean and clearer.


Price and quantity: 

Rs. 75 for 50 g, Rs. 125 for 80 g.


Key Ingredients:

Tea tree and cinnamon extracts


Usage Directions:

Squeeze a small amount on wet palm of your hand. Apply on wet face with circular motions. Wash off. Use regularly mornings & evenings and follow with Lotus Herbals ACNE GEL for best result.

Shelf life: 

3 years.

My Take on Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Face Wash:

Lotus Tea Tree & Cinnamon Anti Acne Oil Control Face Wash is a liquid gel, full with tiny white beads and it comes in a tube with flip top cap. The smell is ridiculously weird; it reminds me of some toothpaste or cough syrup from my childhood (maybe the smell of tea tree and peppermint oil). Anyways, the gel is not so thick, quite runny. That’s why I have to be very careful whenever I pour it on my hand.

A small amount of it will lather pretty well and the beads are also very mild. What really makes this face wash so-so for me is it leaves a slippery effect after rinsing. It takes more than 15 splashes and rubbing off to get the slippery effect out, and yet after that I feel I should wash more.

It cleans the skin very well, once rinsed and pat-dried, I see the squeaky clean skin. Now about controlling oil, it works hardly 4-5 hours (which I feel is quite fine) in summer days. It does not leave my skin dry either (I have normal skin with T-zone oily). It keeps my facial skin well moisturized and at the same time controls oil.

The other good thing about this face wash is it gives a fresh feel after washing off. But, as the product claims about acne, I did not feel any difference or improvements to note down. So, overall it is a so-so face wash for me, because it has too many cons that I cannot overlook.

Why I like this Face Wash?:

  • Cleans well.
  • Keeps skin moisture.
  • Controls oil for some hours.
  • Good packaging.
  • Fells refreshing afterwards.
  • Affordable price.
  • Travel friendly.

Why I don’t like this Face Wash?:

  • Contains SLES, Paraben.
  • Leaves a slippery effect.
  • Smells weird.
  • Does nothing for acne.

Yes, it is a quite good face wash (If you are ready to bear the cons).

Would I Repurchase?:

No. I will search for a better one.

Hey friends! I will review Garnier Pure Exfoliating Face Wash (Eucalyptus Leaf Extract) for combination to oily skin now. Yes, I have combination skin with T-zone oily. Now, let’s see the product details.

Claims of the Face Wash: 

Garnier Pure Exfoliating Face Wash (Eucalyptus Leaf Extract) is an effective face wash for combination to oily skin that helps to remove excess oil and imperfections and helps to prevent them from re-appearing.
It’s a unique formula blends an alcohol –free gel with active ingredients. Micro-particles exfoliate the dead skin cells. A deep cleansing agent purifies pores and help to prevent imperfection.


Price and quantity: 

Rs. 68 for 50 ml.


Key Ingredients: 

Eucalyptus Leaf Extract


Usage Directions: 

Apply on wet face. Gently massage in with fingertips concentrating on the forehead, nose and chin avoiding the eye contour. Rinse thoroughly. Use once a day. Follow up with Garnier Skin Naturals Daily Care Moisturising Lotion.

36 Months.

My Take on Garnier Pure Exfoliating Face Wash:

I never stop buying face washes from different brands, and Garnier Pure Exfoliating Face Wash with Eucalyptus Leaf Extract also falls prey of my experimental nature. Anyways, this face wash comes in a white short tube with a screw cap. It smells really weird, like how leaves smell. The face wash is transparent liquid gel with blue tiny granules.

It lathers very well, only small amount is required for every wash. It also rinses off very easily and leaves a little bit of slippery effect which goes off after 4-5 splashes (win-win!). The tiny blue granules are very mild which helps in mild exfoliating. It cleans skin pretty well. And the good part is it does not dry my skin out. My skin feels perfectly moisturized and yet very fresh. The oil control effect stays about 4 hours.

I have never used any Garnier products before; I was not sure about this face wash also. But I needed to try and search for my HG face wash, so I bought it. Unfortunately it fails to be my HG face wash, even though it works great for me, I cannot overlook the cons.

Why I like Garnier Pure Exfoliating Face Wash?:

  • Cleans well.
  • Lathers and rinses off very well.
  • Does not dry out skin.
  • Locks moisture.
  • Granules are mild.
  • Affordable price.
  • Does what claims.

Why I don’t like Garnier Pure Exfoliating Face Wash?:

  • Smells awful.
  • Contains SLS and other chemicals.
  • Leaves a bit slippery effect.

Yes. It’s a good face wash.

Would I Purchase?:

Yes. Until I find a better one.

Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Cleanup Review

This particular idea of face wash, scrub and pack in one is quite fascinating, don’t you feel? Well, I thought let’s give it a try, and I did. So, today I will review Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Cleanup for you ladies.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 99 for 50 ml; Rs. 199 for 150 ml

My Take:

I am using this product approximately for over a month now, I will now share my experience with you.  This cleanser comes in a fat tube. It has a flip cap, which is highly preferable. The smell of the product is very strong, very chemical type at the same time weird also.

The face wash or scrub or pack (don’t know, what I am supposed to call it exactly) is a thick white paste, full of tiny blue granules. I used to get confused at the beginning about how to use it. The direction says to use it as scrub first then as pack; but I don’t find it useful. So, I keep it for 3-4 minutes as pack, then I scrub and rinse. After washing my face it gives a refreshing feeling which I like about this product.

The blue granules are quite helpful as scrub material, but as a pack I don’t find it good enough. The after effect of this product is not quite amusing, it makes skin supple (like all scrubs do), and also controls oil for sometime only but other than that it does nothing for my skin (I have normal skin with T-zone oily). Though it claims, but actually does not remove spots at all.

It cleans my face pretty well; other than that I did not notice any visible effect on my skin. Overall, I can use it (until it’s over) as a scrub (though not daily) when I needed; but not as a pack because I have better face packs like Himalaya Fairness Face Pack (my Holy Grail) to treat my skin. I do not like this product because I did not see any visible effects (like oil-control, spot remover, works as a pack) on my skin as it claims.

PROS:

  • Cleans face.
  • Granules are good for scrubbing.
  • Controls oil (for some time only).
  • Fair amount.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Gives a fresh feeling.
  • Tube packaging with flip cap is good.

CONS:

  • Full of chemicals (and claims it is mild formula!).
  • Not really works as pack.
  • Does not reduce spots.
  • Does not hold the oil-control effect more than 1 or 2 hours.
  • Contains Paraben.
  • Smells weird like toothpaste.

 

Rating: 2/5

 

Do I Recommend?:

No . If you must need a scrub, there are lot better scrubs available.

 

Would I repurchase?:

I don’t think so.

Vivel Purifying Face Wash For Pimple Control Review

Hello All!

I shall be reviewing  the ‘Vivel Purifying Face Wash for pimple control today. Although, by god’s grace I do not happen to have a very acne prone skin but in summers a few small zits always keep showing up as uninvited guests every now and then.

So,while roaming in a supermarket a few days back I found this face wash and decided to give it a shot! I am not very satisfied with the claims but still would recommend it as a routine face wash. Read on to know about my experience with the product and if it really helps counter acne.


Price and Quantity:

Rs 65 for a 50 ml pack

I guess a bigger pack is also available. However, for first timers, I would recommend to try the smaller one first


Shelf life:

1.5 years (approx)

My Take:

The product comes in a sturdy tube and has a flip top cap. As you can see the, pack is cute cream coloured tube with the cap being refreshing green in colour. I like it :) I would call the tube quite travel friendly and not heavy at all.

The face wash is a clear,colorless product. The consistency is somewhat thick (thinner than honey but thick). A small amount is enough for the entire face. I guess, quantity equal to a 50 paisa coin (which is now,extinct :D) does the job well. This makes sure that your product would last for sufficient time. It is soap free but cleans well though.

The fragrance of this facewash is refreshing in summers. I cant describe it exactly! The fragrance does not retain with you. It goes off soon after you wash your face.

The product has tea tree extracts, which I have read have a lot of skin benefits. Probably, that was my motivation factor to buy this face wash. As per me, the claim for pimple control happens to be false. I still keep having pimples and it takes quite long for older ones to go away with this product. As a regular thing, it is fine.

It doesn’t dry out my skin. More than that, do not expect anything more than that from this one. If you are in hunt for something to actually help you out with pimples. Skip this one in my opinion. Try something else!

 

PROS:

  • Good for routine use
  • Affordable
  • Cute pack
  • Travel friendly
  • Pleasant smell
  • Soap free so doesn’t dry out your skin
  • Small amounts needed so tube lasts for a reasonable time.

CONS

  • Acne control not achieved :(

 

Do I Recommend?

As a remedy for acne.. No! Routine use.. Yes!

 

Would I Repurchase?:

No! For routine use I have better options available! This was expected to cure my acne blues but it failed to do the job.
