Today I will be reviewing a new face wash from L’Oreal Paris.

 

 

Price and Quantity:

My Take:

This face wash comes in a pearly white tube with a grey screw open cap. The texture is thick and the color of the face wash itself is true to its color – pearly white.

Frankly speaking the terms fairness, brightening or skin lightening are never a deciding factor me to buy a product. We all know how much these companies loot the common man by such sensitive marketing. However, when I saw this face wash, I perceived it to be different. The Vitamin C and melanin block content in it were calling me to try it at least once and I did.

One thing good about this face wash is that it lathers up very well and just a pea size is required to wash the entire face effectively. As claimed by the company, it washes off equally well.

Coming to the whitening claim, I do not find it to be true neither did I expect it to be. However, I must say that the face after wash is visibly clean and bright, washing off all the dirt and sebum nicely.

PROS:

  • Lathers very well
  • Very little amount is required for one wash, that ways it will last pretty long
  • A mild fragrance that soothes the senses
  • Cleanses the face effectively
  • Washes away traces of non-water proof makeup also

CONS:

  • Expensive
  • Dries skin after wash
  • No whitening of the skin

My Final Verdict: 

It is not a must try product, can easily be given a miss. There is nothing too special in this face wash. Due to its high price but not so good results, I would not be buying it again.

Clean and Clear Morning Energy Face Wash Purifying Apple Review

Hello beauties,

When Clean and Clear foaming facials introduced new variants, I promised myself that I am going to try all three variants one after one. Then, I have to pick one among three.. hmm which one? I have a kind of aversion on cherry flavor; it reminds me of cough syrup! So, I reserved it for some other day and my eye scrutinized next variant, its lemon. Wow!! My favorite, Yes, I am a lemony person but I felt the color wasn’t appealing. The remaining flavor is Green apple and picked it immediately. Ahh!! Don’t think I bought because I had no options but I was hypnotized by its cute color and package. Hehehe!!.. Thanks for your patience reading all the blah blah blah!!

My Take:

Transparent plastic bottle with purple flip cap. It is available in 20 ml, 50 ml & 100 ml packs. The package is quite sturdy therefore no worries of leakage.

Color of the face wash is mild green with bursting beads. The consistency is slightly runny. It is a mild fruity smell. The fragrance is lovely though it doesn’t smells exactly like green apple.

It is a Johnson & Johnson product which is a trustworthy brand for many including me. Clean & Clear morning energy face wash purifying apple has bursting beads which is green in color. The beads are soft, it does dissolves but you need to put some effort on mashing it. When you squeeze the face wash for single use you might get 1 or 2 beads.

Good consistency hence it spreads on skin easily. It doesn’t lather too much therefore removing the foam is an easy job. It cleanse the face nicely. The Clean and Clear didn’t make my skin dry and stretchy. It completely removes the trace of oiliness and prevents oil secretion for 2 hours.

The product claims that it helps in preventing common skin problem. It does not break out my skin. It does nothing to existing acne. This one didn’t cause any problem to my face thus I am completely satisfied.

I am not a big fan of neither green apple nor green color but after using it I got addicted to it.
In fact, I didn’t keep up my promise of trying all flavors. Yes, I have finished more than 6 bottles of green apple but not yet tried lemon. Once I got berry flavor but before finishing it, I bought green apple once again. I’m completely under the spell of Clean & Clear morning purifying Apple.

 

PROS:

  • Good consistency
  • Decent price
  • Mild cleanser
  • Travel friendly and cute package
  • Perfect face wash for oily skin
  • Cleanses skin properly
  • Does not break out my skin
  • Wont clog pores

CONS:

  • Not for dry skin beauties
  • No ingredients list (huh…unbelievable)
  • It cannot control oil more than 2 or 3 hours

Do I Recommend?:

Yes. It is a decent product. It helps to keep your skin healthy.

 

Would I Repurchase?:

YES! Nothing would stop me from buying it again.

Everyuth Naturals Fruit Face Wash Review

Hello beautiful ladies!

Today I am going to review Everyuth Naturals Fruit Face Wash. This is my 1st product from Everyuth. I bought this one mainly because of it claims to be mild and soap free. I was using this product during winter and it suits me quite well, now keep reading to know more.

Price:

Rs.40 for 60ml

My Take:

Packaging: The face wash comes in a white and red colored tube with a flip cap. The tube packaging and the flip cap makes this product travel friendly and hygienic.

Color, Consistency and Fragrance: This Everyuth Fruit Face Wash is pretty light pink in color with extremely (extremely means extremely) runny consistency. It flows down from the tube without any control even its bit difficult for me to put the excess face wash into the tube(all credit goes to the consistency). I generally prefer products with mild fragrance and it smells mild rather I can say I quite like the smell (I have very sensitive nose).

How it works on me?:  I have extremely sensitive skin which  becomes dry in winters. Well, after using this face wash for almost 15-20 days I can say it is a nice and mild face wash for all skin types. It gives a soothing effect to my skin which lasts almost for 1 hour.

Every time I use this face wash I feel my skin is clean free from dirt and oiliness and the main thing I did not feel the need of moisturizer.  But still if you have extremely dry skin or 30+ I would suggest you to apply a moisturizer every time after you wash your face.

It does not helps much in removing makeup (not a problem for me as I don’t apply any). The only negative thing I find in this product is the consistency. Truly speaking it’s just horrible (I seriously mean it). But if you are careful enough, careful in the sense you have patience, (I am the most impatient person on the earth) and can deal with the consistency then go for it. This is one of the best and budget friendly face washes available in the market.

I am pretty sure dry skin beauties going to love this :) so let’s sum up the pros on cons (for me this is the most important part in a review, because as a reader I never ever read the full review, go through the pictures, read price, pros cons, and ratings) :P

 

PROS:

  • Extremely affordable
  • Available everywhere
  • Has soothing effect on my skin
  • It does not dry out my already dry skin in winter
  • Smells fresh
  • Hygienic packaging
  • Looks good.. yes it’s a pro :P
  • Works well even in summers

CONS:

You say what should be the 1st con on the product.. tell me tell me!
No idea? Hawwwww it looks like you have not read the review carefully (we belong to same category, hi5) :P

Okay, and then let me tell you

  • The 1st and the only con of the product is the consistency. It’s too bad.

Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active Neem Face Wash Review

Today, I am going to throw some light on Garnier Skin Naturals Pure Active Neem Face Wash. I recently bought it, used once and I am planning not to use it ever again. Read on to know why..

Price: 

Rs.49 for 50g (Thank God I bought the smaller version)

 

How to Use?:

  • Take an adequate amount of this face wash and apply it on your face.
  • Gently massage and create lather.
  • Rinse well.

My Take:

Packaging and Consistency: This face wash comes in a typical Garnier plastic tube with a screw cap. The consistency of this face wash is quite runny with a green gel like texture.

Before you start reading this section, let me tell you something about my skin type. I have oily (read very oily) skin which is pimple prone and is extremely sensitive. If something does not suit me, it immediately shows up on my face as pimples. 2 days before planning to try this product on my face, I ate healthy stuff namely apples, green veggies and drank lots of water to make sure that I can review this product accurately. My skin was completely fine and my face was glowing. I used this face wash at night and went to bed. Next day, I woke up and saw three BIG pimples on my face – 2 on both eyebrows and one on the cheek. I felt angry and I have thus found that it will not suit sensitive skin.

However, my daughter and hubby like it a lot. My hubby has oily skin too (same pinch to me lol) which tends to attract a lot of dirt. He says that it worked fabulously for him and it makes his face super clean and removes all oil and dirt. My hubby does not have sensitive skin.

PROS:

  • Packaging
  • Color and gel-like texture of the product, which is appealing to the eyes
  • Makes the skin squeaky clean
  • Removes all oil and dirt
  • Fragrance is nice
  • Contains Salicylic acid and Neem
  • Available in different sizes
  • A very small amount is needed for that perfect lather

CONS:

  • Breaks me out
  • A bit difficult to wash it off
  • SLS

 

Final Verdict: 

If you do not have sensitive skin like me, then it may suit you. I think it was my fault that I tried it because it has been mentioned nowhere on the pack that it will suit very sensitive skin. However, it suited my hubby perfectly.

 

MABH Rating: 3/5 (-2 for breaking me out)

VLCC Skin Defense Wild Turmeric Face Wash Review

Today I am going to review the  Turmeric Face Wash from VLCC brand.

Key Ingredients: 

Honey & Turmeric

 

How to Use?: 

Apply a small amount of the cleanser on moist face and neck. Massage gently with fingertips & rinse thoroughly. Can be used round the year.

My Experience:

Packaging: The face wash comes in a plastic bottle with a screw cap. The cap is open able with a flip cap too. The bottle is not transparent, and hence it does not show up hoe much of the product is left over.   The quality of the package material is very strong and sturdy. Some times I have come across bottle that just breaks or cracks off with just a few handlings of the flip cap.

Color, Consistency and Fragrance: This face wash has a yellow tinge in color. It is a thin gel like liquid in its consistency. It is a runny face wash. And fragrance seems strong to my senses.

How it works: The face wash lathers very well. It helps remove the sweaty dirt from the skin; leaves the skin fresh and relived.
But there is one major draw back. It is definitely not suitable for dry skin and even normal skin. For me, during summers, skin gets back to some what normal. Yet after using this face wash my skin feels stretchy and then it even begins to itch. If I follow with moisturizers during summer, I begin to sweat uncontrollably. Using this face wash during winters is absolutely out of control.

People with oily skin will be able to use this product without any trouble. I feel this will help acne prone skin to a great extent. But the package details say ‘all skin types’. This is very misleading.

 

PROS:

  • Suits oily skin very much.
  • Will help acnes and pimples.
  • Leaves skin squeaky clean.
  • Sturdy package.
  • Screw cap along with a flip cap too

CONS:

  • Not suitable for normal and dry skin.
  • Leaves skin dry and stretchy (for skin other than oily types)

My Recommendation: 

Oily skin people can try this product.

 
Would I Repurchase?:

No. It is not helping my skin at all. It leaves my skin dry after wash which means the product is stripping off all the oil from my skin.

I’m probably the last person on Earth to review this product! I love trying out different face washes but I always end up coming back to this one. So here are my views on Pond’s white beauty daily spot-less lightening facial foam.

Daily spot-less lightening facial foam cleanses deeply for glowing and brighter skin. The foam’s unique formula reduces dullness and brightens skin, while washing away old weary, sallow skin cells.

Price & Quantity: 

Rs. 59 for 50 gms.

Shelf Life:

Use before 24 months from mfg date.

How to Use Ponds Lightening Face Wash?:

Wet your face. Apply to face and neck and gently massage. Rinse off.

My Experience with Ponds White Beauty Lightening Facial Foam: 

The product comes in a travel friendly cream and pink coloured tube with a flip-top cap. The face wash is white in colour and creamy in texture. It has a pleasant smell which lingers on for some time after washing off.

A pea-sized amount is enough for the entire face and neck as it lathers very well. I prefer to lather it up on my palm and then apply on wet face and neck.

This face wash really cleanses the skin. I can feel it. It effectively removes all dirt and make up giving you a slightly brighter complexion for some time. This face wash never broke me out. Regular usage also helps in reducing tan to some extent. It is true to its claims of spot lightening. I had a few dark spots and a month’s usage has cleared them already. This face wash also claims washing away old skin cells, so that’s good in a way. Since I am oily skinned I can use it throughout the year. During the cold season the skin feels slightly dry after using this one. But a moisturizer solves this problem. Otherwise during summer it doesn’t dry out the skin.

My skin turns oily in under two hours after using this face wash. (I’ve noticed this when I’m at home. If I have to go out then this face wash + oil control toner + matte sunscreen + oil free foundation + oil control talc, keeps my skin oil free for around 5 hours). You cannot expect this product to control oil for long. VLCC Anti Tan Skin Lightening Face Wash is better than this one in terms of oil control.

This pond’s face wash is ideal for those having very oily skin. It will dry out even combination skin. So normal, combination, dry skinned people stay away from this one.

PROS of Ponds White Beauty Lightening Facial Foam:

  • Cheap.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Removes dirt and make up.
  • Reduces tan.
  • Lightens spots.
  • Did not break me out.
  • Washes away old skin cells.
  • Ideal for oily skinned people.
  • Travel friendly packaging.

CONS of Ponds White Beauty Lightening Facial Foam:

  • Not suitable for those having normal, combination and dry skin.
  • Does not control oil.

This is only for those of you having very oily skin. It won’t do any good for other skin types. There are plenty of choices in the market.
