Summers are back and it’s time to show off some skin. :D I love wearing shorts and skirts but if can be a bit frightening after months of ignoring our precious legs. So, to achieve great summer legs pay a little attention towards them. Following are few tips that would help you definitely!


Hair Removal: Waxing is the most essential and effective way of getting rid of those unwanted hairs. Many women prefer shaving their legs which is also a nice alternative.

Exfoliation: Get rid of the dead skin and make them smoother by exfoliation. Use Gram flour with natural oil and get smooth and shiny legs, trust me it works like a miracle for me. You can also rub lemon and sugar on your knees for even skin tone.

Moisturize: Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize, this is the key to beautiful legs. Pick up a super rich moisturizer with SPF and apply right after shower from top to bottom to achieve SEXY legs. ;)

Pedicure: Do your pedicure at home by taking warm water adding salt and shampoo in it and then soak your legs for 20 minutes. Also apply lemon and sugar and scrub your legs. After washing your legs immediately moisturize them and wear socks. Now you are ready to wear open toes sandals and wedges.

Exercise: To keep your legs toned like Bipasha Basu it’s important to exercise. But if you’re busy or lazy you can opt for walking since it is the best exercise for legs and you can do it almost anytime and anywhere.  So, next time you go out take stairs instead of lift.

Avoid Allergies: Scars, bruises or mosquito bites can ruin all your hard work, so it’s better to stay away from them by protecting skin all the time. Original Source Vanilla and Raspberry Shower Gel Review

Well, some of you may not be aware of the brand ‘Original Source’ – well I don’t blame you; I was unaware of it before last year. But when I ran out of my Palmolive Shower Gel I really wanted to try something new. While on such a new shower gel hunt I heard of this awesome shower gel from a blog and ordered it online. And I am so happy I did. Original Source is a brand manufacturing Vegan skincare products and they sell very less outside UK.


Like most women I love Raspberry as well as Vanilla flavored stuff so when I got this in my hand the first thing I did was to check it’s fragrance. And I was so happy with it. Read on to know how I love it.

Price and Quantity.

I am quite happy with it. The Product retails for Rs 195 for 250 ml.

My Take:

Packaging of this Shower gel is quite unique; the shower gel bottle is made out of recyclable plastic which is sturdy enough for travel. The cap is a square flip top cap which closes properly and the bottle is kept upside down and its unique shape is quite cute. The packaging for me is another reason why I was so eager to try this. It has bold cute fonts used for the front. Even the instructions on the back are quite different from what you see every day.

The product is a pale pinkish in color and comes out smoothly. The consistency is not very runny and it lathers average. So those who love lots of lather will be disappointed with this one. The fragrance for me seems heavenly as if they have really squeezed raspberries and vanilla milk into this yummy bottle.

Well! You must have already guessed I love this Shower Crème. The smell may be too sweet or overwhelming for those with a sensitive nose but I love it. It’s the perfect treat for the body. But the fragrance stays for half an hour max after shower and fades quickly
.

But the shower gel cleans effectively and does not leave residues on the skin. It washes off completely and gives me a fresh and supple skin.

PROS:

CONS:

  • Availability
  • Smell does not stay long enough

Do I Recommend?:

If you love Vanilla and Strawberry/Raspberry smells and do not possess a very sensitive nose then give this a try. It’s vegan and will make your shower time more fun.

 

Will I Repurchase?:

Yes, I will. also I have my eyes on the mint and tea tree one as well (I hear it gives a tingling sensation :P)

Himalaya Herbals Refreshing Cleansing Milk Review and Swatches

Hope you were all doing great!! Today I am going to review a Cleansing milk. Proper cleansing at regular interval is very important to all. Especially, if you are a makeup lover then you need that extra cleansing. Nowadays water proof make up stuffs are being included in everyday make up. In that case cleansing milk helps us to get clean skin. Let us find out Himalaya cleansing milk is how good in that part.

My Take:

This one is white and green colored plastic package as like any other Himalaya products. It is a cylindrical bottle wide at top and slightly narrow at bottom with flip cap. I am impressed by the sturdy package hence it will be a travel friendly.

It is a white colored lotion neither thick nor runny and spreads easily on my skin. Mild and sweet fragrance which will not be a problem for sensitive nose.

I started using cleansing milk not for removing makeup but to get rid of oiliness from my skin. My friend advised me to use cleansing milk every day which will help to remove excess oil from my skin and gives clean & fresh look. Ever since cleansing milk was included in my cosmetics shopping list. Ayur is my first cleansing milk, after using it for a year I needed a change, so I bought Himalaya cleansing milk.

It is for all skin types. It absorbs on my skin quickly. I massage softly that will help to penetrate on my skin and do the cleansing work more effectively. After 2 or 3 minutes, I wipe it off with cotton. Finally, I wash my face with plain water or sometimes with face wash because cleansing milk stickiness and smell lingers on my face.

This cleansing milk gives healthy look to my face that was completely unexpected factor. I forgot to mention I didn’t follow my friend’s advice of daily cleansing routine. I use it occasionally to remove makeup after any parties & functions and on sunny shopping days, where I grab all the pollutants on my skin. It is pretty good in removing oil and dirt. Its efficiency in removing water proof products is more than average. It could have been better on that part.

Before and After:

I have applied water proof eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, eye shadow & foundation

After cleansing there was residue of eyeliner and lipstick (I’m not sure the camera catches it or not) but other things are completely wiped off.

PROS:

  • Hypoallergenic.
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Sturdy and travel friendly package
  • Mild smell
  • It is for all skin type
  • Removes dirt, oiliness and non-water proof products effectively
  • Gives healthy look

CONS:

  • It irritates my eyes therefore removing eye makeup will be a painful job.
  • It could have been more efficient on removing water resistant products.

Yes, but if your makeup routine include lots of water-proof products then you have to think twice.

Nike Women Fruit Fever Deodorant Review

Here is a review on one of my favourite deo sprays – Nike Woman Fruit Fever Deodorant. Read on to know more about this product.


Price: 

Rs. 275 for 200 ml. I got if for 170 online.

 

My Experience:

Nike has multiple variants of deo sprays. Body sprays from Nike have always been my personal favourite. You can choose from a wide variety of body sprays. The packaging is beautiful as always. All Nike deodorants have a canister packaging and a grey nozzle with a transparent cap which fits tightly. The packaging is attractive. This particular variant, Nike Woman Fruit Fever comes in a white coloured bottle having a matte finish.

Coming to the fragrance, it is difficult to describe it exactly. It is not fruity at all to my senses. But smells great though. For those of you who have a sensitive nose, the fragrance might be bothersome or too strong. As for me it is tolerable and perfect for daily wear. The fragrance lingers on for around 6-7 hours. No complaints!

I have use this variant for quite a long time now and I can safely say that I haven’t faced any side effects like darkening of underarms or irritation. It also controls sweat to a great extent considering the humidity here. In cooler seasons, this deodorant will completely control perspiration.

About the pricing, well Rs.275 is on the higher side. But I really don’t mind the price as quality comes at a higher price only. And if you manage to get it at a discounted rate of Rs. 170 or Rs. 190 then it is so worth it. You have to keep an eye online for any sale on these deos. No need to worry about expiry as the shelf life is long.

 

PROS:

  • Many variants to choose from
  • Reasonably priced compared to other bigger brands.
  • Cute packaging
  • Travel friendly
  • No side effects
  • Not tested on animals
  • Fragrance lingers on for around 6-7 hours
  • Long shelf life
  • Controls sweat to a great extent.

CONS:

  • Price is on the higher side compared to Indian brands
  • Contains alcohol

Those of you who are a fan of Nike brand, won’t mind trying this one. But the choice of fragrance is one’s personal preference and liking.
