Here I am with another review on a lipstick I’m currently obsessed with, Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color Windsor Rose.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 250 for 4 gm

My Take:

I always go for lipsticks having shade names like rose, rosy and pinks because they suit me well. So obviously I bought this shade ‘Windsor Rose’ because of ‘Rose’! This shade is beautiful. It’s not too dark. This is a shade which everyone should own.

I dislike the packaging. It is not attractive at all. The case has a boring brownish color. I hate to carry it around in my bag! Anyway! At least the shade is nice. The case is sturdy though and its cap shuts tightly.

The lipstick is a beautiful pink color  It looks quite dark in the tube but upon application you get a lovely creamy pink color  This shade can be carried off easily as it is not too dark. If you prefer darker shades you can swipe it 3-4 times to get a darker look. The finish is creamy matte and doesn’t bleed. I think this particular shade will suit fair to wheatish skin tones best. It has no shimmers. It also claims to have SPF 15 which is a plus point.

This lipstick glides on very easily. One swipe easily covers up pigmentation. I always use a lip liner along with this lipstick. This is a very moisturizing lipstick and I don’t feel the need to apply a lip balm underneath. This lipstick has no fragrance at all (You can only notice a faint smell if you keep it very close to your nose!).

The staying power of this lipstick really surprised me. It stays put on my lips for around 5-6 hours which is great considering the price. In spite of having meals in between it didn’t budge. Only the moisture goes away but the color remains intact. After sometime (around 4 hours) lips tend to feel dry. One bad thing is that the color is highly transferable.

In conclusion, this is a perfect shade for office goers. Great for a natural and day wear look.

  • Staying power is around 5 hours

  • Lovely shade
  • Glides on smoothly

  • Doesn’t settle in fine lines

CONS:

  • Packaging looks cheap
  • Lips tend to feel dry when the moisture goes away
  • Ingredients list not mentioned
  • Cannot identify the shade easily. You have to read the label at the bottom every time.
  • Transfers badly

Do I Recommend?:

I highly recommend this shade. Those of you who don’t like loud red shades can try this one. Due to its great staying power, office goers will love this lipstick.

Elle 18 Color Burst Lipstick Roasty Red Review, Swatches and FOTD

Well, I am here to review a lipstick that can fit into anybody’s pocket. It’s a lipstick from Elle 18 color burst range named Roasty Red.

Price:

4.3 ml for Rs.100 (yeah, I’m not kidding :D)

 

 

My Take:

This is my first ever Elle 18 lipstick. I always heard mixed reviews about them. I personally felt few of these lipsticks lack pigmentation and few seemed to be too frosty to suit the Indian skin tone.  But I understand that these lipsticks are being targeted on the teenage girls who like to experiment and love to wear different colors. Anyway, I chose this particular shade because I’m in the “search of my perfect red” phase. This lipstick when I tried in the store, I felt it suited me so grabbed one.

Packaging: This Elle 18 lipstick comes in a black bullet case. It isn’t that thick or sturdy. The cap seems to break easily. The cap has a girl image which is a standard on this range.

Shade: The shade roasty red is a burnt brick red which falls in between red and maroon.

The lipstick lacks a proper texture. It lacks pigmentation (you need to swipe in twice or thrice to get the colour to pop on lips). I felt this particular shade is pretty okay with the pigmentation. The staying power is average. I loved the lip balm fixed in the center of the lipstick. It moisturizes my dry lips well. The lipstick tends to melt away easily and its is so soft that it can break too. It has a weird smell which would fade away after sometime. The lipstick goes away without leaving any stains.

If you are looking for cheap lipstick or if you want to try few shades for fun  you can get one. It is so cheap that you won’t regret buying one :D

Lacto Calamine Sun Shield Daily Use Sunscreen SPF 30 PA++ Review

Hi girls!

I am sure that even you want to try out this Lacto Calamine Sun Shield. But, I think after reading this review, you are going to change your mind :P Read on to know more.

My Take:

Packaging: It comes in a cool looking white tube with all the information mentioned on it. The complete list of ingredients has been mentioned on the tube and on the outer carton too! The flip top cap is sturdy and the product is travel friendly, though I would recommend putting cello tape on its mouth whenever you carry it in your bag.

Fragrance: It smells like the normal Lacto Calamine moisturizers. The fragrance is a bit too strong and lingers on for quite some time, something that I completely hate.

Texture and color: It is slightly thick in texture and white in color, but it spreads easily onto the skin. However, it takes a lot of time to get absorbed completely. Actually, it never gets absorbed totally. I had just tried it once on my face and it made it all oily and sweaty.

Moisturizing ability: I think it is NOT for oily skin but only for slightly dry skinned beauties. This never broke me out but it does make my face all oily, sweaty, leaves a layer behind and the fragrance lingers on. Do you have oily skin? If yes, then stay away from this one.

PH and SPF content: This one contains SPF 30 PA++ and has a pH of 7.5, which is okay. It says that it provides protection from Broad Spectrum UVA+ UVB rays. But I am sure it won’t help much in the hot, scorching summers…

How it works on me?: I hate this sun shield. It makes my face even more oily, leaves a whitish cast which stays on for some time, takes a hell lot of time to get absorbed and does makes me sweat a lot. I have just used it on my face once and I completely dislike it. I wish, they make a mattifying sunscreen with a higher SPF soon!

In addition, its claims of reducing dark spots and all are false [I use it on my hands now]. I just want to warn you girls with oily skin. Do not waste Rs. 199 for this bad product. I am completely dissatisfied with this! I do not know but maybe girls with dry skin will like it. If this one, made for oily skin, makes my skin extremely oily, then I just wonder what the dry skin variant will do :P I don’t want to write any more about this flop product :P

 

PROS:

  • SPF 30 PA++ and Broad Spectrum UVA and UVB protection
  • Packaging
  • Did not break me out
  • Whole lot of information and full ingredients list mentioned

CONS:

  • Makes the skin extremely sweaty
  • Strong fragrance
  • False claims
  • Leaves a whitish cast which stays for sometime
  • Does not help much
  • Contains a LOT of chemicals and preservatives
  • Everything else that you can think of :P

 

Final Verdict:

Completely skip it if you have oily to super oily and even normal skin :P I am now using it on my hands and it makes them super oily too :/  :/ Please suggest me ways to empty this tube.

Everyuth Naturals Fruit Face Wash Review

Hello beautiful ladies!

Today I am going to review Everyuth Naturals Fruit Face Wash. This is my 1st product from Everyuth. I bought this one mainly because of it claims to be mild and soap free. I was using this product during winter and it suits me quite well, now keep reading to know more.

Rs.40 for 60ml

My Take:

Packaging: The face wash comes in a white and red colored tube with a flip cap. The tube packaging and the flip cap makes this product travel friendly and hygienic.

Color, Consistency and Fragrance: This Everyuth Fruit Face Wash is pretty light pink in color with extremely (extremely means extremely) runny consistency. It flows down from the tube without any control even its bit difficult for me to put the excess face wash into the tube(all credit goes to the consistency). I generally prefer products with mild fragrance and it smells mild rather I can say I quite like the smell (I have very sensitive nose).

How it works on me?:  I have extremely sensitive skin which  becomes dry in winters. Well, after using this face wash for almost 15-20 days I can say it is a nice and mild face wash for all skin types. It gives a soothing effect to my skin which lasts almost for 1 hour.

Every time I use this face wash I feel my skin is clean free from dirt and oiliness and the main thing I did not feel the need of moisturizer.  But still if you have extremely dry skin or 30+ I would suggest you to apply a moisturizer every time after you wash your face.

It does not helps much in removing makeup (not a problem for me as I don’t apply any). The only negative thing I find in this product is the consistency. Truly speaking it’s just horrible (I seriously mean it). But if you are careful enough, careful in the sense you have patience, (I am the most impatient person on the earth) and can deal with the consistency then go for it. This is one of the best and budget friendly face washes available in the market.

I am pretty sure dry skin beauties going to love this :) so let’s sum up the pros on cons (for me this is the most important part in a review, because as a reader I never ever read the full review, go through the pictures, read price, pros cons, and ratings) :P

 

PROS:

  • Extremely affordable
  • Available everywhere
  • Has soothing effect on my skin
  • It does not dry out my already dry skin in winter
  • Smells fresh
  • Hygienic packaging
  • Looks good.. yes it’s a pro :P
  • Works well even in summers

CONS:

You say what should be the 1st con on the product.. tell me tell me!

Okay, and then let me tell you

  • The 1st and the only con of the product is the consistency. It’s too bad.
