Dove has so many products that I always get confused what to pick. What could be right one for my skin. Every time there is an unknown product from Dove that I come across. This product said deeply nourishing which tempted me a little more than needed to buy it. That is how it landed on me.

Hope everything is going super fine with you all. :) Today I’m back with another product review, something I have fallen in love with of late – White Impress Body Wash from Lux. I have always preferred body washes & shower gels over regular soaps and have already tried a good number of them from different brands. The recent one that I bought is from Lux. Although I have never been an admirer of their soap range, but still decided to try this body wash and I must admit it was one of my best decisions (when it comes to try out new cosmetic brands). Read on to see how this body wash has ‘impressed’ me!

Now, back to our content for the day – The Body Shop Chocomania Shower Cream. The Chocomania range of The Body Shop has now been re-introduced indefinitely. Yayyyy!! And the Shower Cream, Body Lotion, Body Butter, Body Scrub, Lip Butter, Soap (they are the prettiest delight to ever hold – all heart shaped & flecked * swoons *), and Beautifying Oil are part of the Chocomania family. It is described as a lush decadence of shea & cocoa butter & dark chocolate delights, Can you say no to that?!
I couldn’t. So at a recent TBS Sale I picked up this Shower Cream and Body Lotion (review later :) ) at flat 50% off individually (icing on the cake!). So after a consistent use for 4 months now & varying seasons & climate, I am finally ready to divulge all that I have to say.

Today I will be reviewing another shower gel but this time from the famous brand Palmolive. I love Palmolive shower gels to the core for the quality they provide at such low prices. Read on to know more about this product.

The product comes in a very cute red colored clear bottle. It is curvaceous and looks very feminine. I personally love it to the core. The gel is of deep ruby red color and has a bit runny consistency. The shower gel is PH balanced and dermatologically tested which makes it suitable for daily use.
The shower gel smells amazing and has a calming floral smell of rose, orchids and jasmine. True to its name it is actually a fragrance that one would to be used in aromatherapy. It smells sweet, nice and feels very nice on the skin. But sadly the staying power is not that good; it hardly stays on after the bath, but definitely gives a rich luxurious experience while taking bath.
This shower gel lathers really well and only small amount is required. I usually put a coin sized dollop on a loofah and lather it all over the body. The bottle would last a very long time. This is my second bottle, my last bottle lasted me for 2-3 months. The only thing I think missing is the stimulating effect of essential oils.

Definitely. I think it is an excellent range of shower gels at such reasonable price.

I’d like to review for you one of my latest purchases from Avon. This is a shower gel from their Senses range. I bought the Reflection shower gel because it’s supposed to be ‘peaceful and soothing’ and I hoped it’ll help me with my temper! :P

First and foremost, I like the shape of the bottle! Isn’t it great, there’s a ‘hook’ on it so you can actually hang it on your shower! (It’s a plastic bottle so if it falls off your shower, it won’t break :P)
Though it looks like a purple coloured gel, it is clear. It spreads and lathers quite easily.
I do think that the overall effect of this shower gel is relaxing and refreshing. After using this, my skin feels smooth and clean. There is no excessive dryness which is great because I have dry skin. I like how the shower gel rinses off easily. I remember trying a shower gel from Palmolive and it took forever to rinse off! After 15 minutes of trying my skin still felt soapy! How irritating is that?! So I am glad this washes off quickly.
My main problem with this is the fragrance. When I see purple and I think of a fragrance my mind instantly jumps to lavender. And yes this shower gel does have lavender notes in its fragrance. There’s another note in the fragrance that I can’t identify. That must be the water lily. So far, so good. But the overall fragrance is quite mild, which I guess is the whole point of it being a ‘peaceful and soothing’ shower gel but I wish it was a bit stronger! Also, the fragrance reminds me a bit of medicine… I don’t know why! :(
And what’s more, it doesn’t really linger. That’s not surprising since it is so gentle to begin with, but still I would have liked to smell like lavender!

Final word:
Though this shower gel doesn’t have any cons as such, I just didn’t find anything in it that made me go ‘wow, this is great, I’m so glad I bought it!’. The fragrance is absolutely run of the mill, it doesn’t linger and my temper is still as bad (haha!). Yes, okay, the fragrance is soothing to an extent; but it could have been SO much better.

No.
Would I Repurchase?:
Nope, just not a fan of the fragrance. I now wish I had picked the other variant, maybe the fragrance would have been stronger and more refreshing! :(
