Hi friends!

I am back with my second product review. This wipes are my best friends since I got into college and I cannot stop admiring them. Skin wipes become your skin’s best friend once you start travelling daily (going to office or college). There are so many good skin wipes available in Indian market these days. But sadly none of them were suitable for my skin. I did not like the soapy feelings left on the face after using most of the products. I felt the urge of washing off the face with water even after using the wipes and then what is the purpose of using them at all? When I saw the advertisement of this product, I was ready to give a try. I felt that a baby product has to be mild for the skin and hoped it will be better than the rest.

Eye makeup is an essential part of every day make up for everyone be it a student or a working women or a simple housewife. It changes the look of a person in a jiffy. Just a little kajal makes a woman look more expressive and beautiful. But we cannot wear makeup to bed, as that might invite many eye infections, fine lines and wrinkles and many more.

My Take on this Makeup Remover:

I cannot stop myself from saying this that this is a must have in every girl’s kit. It removes every speck of makeup without irritating the eyes and is safe for lens wearers too. I have also tried this on my daughter who is addicted to lens, and she has never faced any irritation or redness in her eyes after using this.

This makeup remover comes packed in a small plastic transparent bottle. Its light weight and comes with a small hole at its mouth to control the amount of product coming out. As per directions I shake it before using as you can see in the pictures itself that it consists of two layers- one of oil and the other of water. So basically its oil plus water formula used in this.

The blue part floating above is the oil while the white part of the remover is water. I take a very little amount in my cotton and gently place it over my eyelids . after a minute or two, I swipe it across my upper as well as lower lash line very gently. Trust me it takes away everything including waterproof eye make up. Added benefit is that the oil part of this remover does not make the lids dry or stretchy.

For this review I tried it in makeup removal and voila it works see how in the following two images.

So its clear from the images that is so effective and gentle in eye and lip make up removal without any extra effort. It does not drip even if not used in perfect quantity so no raccoon eyes too. Even though the price may seem a little steep for the quantity but very little is required every time. So girls this is excellent, so just run and grab it!

 

Small Tip on Making this Economical:

I use this only for eye make up removal, only when I have used waterproof eye make up as it minimizes the effort and I don’t have to pull my skin apart to remove make up too.

 

Why I like this Makeup Remover?:

Khadi Herbal Cucumber and Aloe Vera Cleansing Milk Review

Hello girls!!

Today I would be reviewing cleansing milk from Khadi. After trying their neem shampoo I have picked this Cucumber & Aloe Vera natural face cleanser from Khadi.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 120 for 210 ml

 

My Take:

Previously, I was using Himalaya cleansing milk. It was good enough but was stinging my face at times. So, I thought its time to hunt for a better cleanser. That’s when I ordered this Khadi product. Since I was much satisfied with Khadi Neem Shampoo, I quickly picked this cleanser. This cleansing milk comes in a typical Khadi flip top cap packaging which is hard and sturdy making it travel friendly.

The texture is creamy and easily spreads on the face. I like the mild cucumber fragrance. The consistency is thicker than Ayur and Himalaya cleansing milk.

It requires a coin sized amount of the product to clean your face. It does a pretty quick job leaving my skin smooth. It is mentioned to rinse with water but I don’t see the need. I have not tried to remove make up as I prefer using baby oil for makeup removal.

PROS:

  • Cleans well
  • Paraben free
  • Pleasant cucumber fragrance
  • Reasonably priced
  • Makes skin soft and supple
  • Does not sting
  • Sturdy packaging
  • Natural ingredients

CONS:

  • Availability might be an issue

Hope you were all doing great!! Today I am going to review a Cleansing milk. Proper cleansing at regular interval is very important to all. Especially, if you are a makeup lover then you need that extra cleansing. Nowadays water proof make up stuffs are being included in everyday make up. In that case cleansing milk helps us to get clean skin. Let us find out Himalaya cleansing milk is how good in that part.

My Take:

This one is white and green colored plastic package as like any other Himalaya products. It is a cylindrical bottle wide at top and slightly narrow at bottom with flip cap. I am impressed by the sturdy package hence it will be a travel friendly.

It is a white colored lotion neither thick nor runny and spreads easily on my skin. Mild and sweet fragrance which will not be a problem for sensitive nose.

I started using cleansing milk not for removing makeup but to get rid of oiliness from my skin. My friend advised me to use cleansing milk every day which will help to remove excess oil from my skin and gives clean & fresh look. Ever since cleansing milk was included in my cosmetics shopping list. Ayur is my first cleansing milk, after using it for a year I needed a change, so I bought Himalaya cleansing milk.

It is for all skin types. It absorbs on my skin quickly. I massage softly that will help to penetrate on my skin and do the cleansing work more effectively. After 2 or 3 minutes, I wipe it off with cotton. Finally, I wash my face with plain water or sometimes with face wash because cleansing milk stickiness and smell lingers on my face.

This cleansing milk gives healthy look to my face that was completely unexpected factor. I forgot to mention I didn’t follow my friend’s advice of daily cleansing routine. I use it occasionally to remove makeup after any parties & functions and on sunny shopping days, where I grab all the pollutants on my skin. It is pretty good in removing oil and dirt. Its efficiency in removing water proof products is more than average. It could have been better on that part.

Before and After:

I have applied water proof eyeliner, mascara, lipstick, eye shadow & foundation

After cleansing there was residue of eyeliner and lipstick (I’m not sure the camera catches it or not) but other things are completely wiped off.

PROS:

  • Hypoallergenic.
  • Non-comedogenic
  • Sturdy and travel friendly package
  • Mild smell
  • It is for all skin type
  • Removes dirt, oiliness and non-water proof products effectively
  • Gives healthy look

CONS:

  • It irritates my eyes therefore removing eye makeup will be a painful job.
  • It could have been more efficient on removing water resistant products.

Do I Recommend?:

Yes, but if your makeup routine include lots of water-proof products then you have to think twice.

 

Would I Repurchase?:

Yes, it is a good cleansing milk.

My Experience:

The product comes in a see through bottle with a flip top cap which makes it easier to dispense the right amount. As you can see in the picture below, the make up remover is pink in colour. FYI, the bottle is see-through.

The product is fragrance free.

Just two – three swipes of this lotion is enough to get rid of any kind of makeup, even waterproof. It does feel oily on the face. I hate the greasy feeling on my face. But a face wash/cleanser does the job of clearing up the excess oil. I just don’t understand why they have mentioned that it is oil free! Although I’m oily skinned, this product never broke me out. Just a few drops of this remover is enough to remove makeup.

 

PROS:

  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • A little goes a long way.
  • It’s worth every penny.
  • Didn’t break me out although the remover is oily.
  • Packaging is quite good.
  • Fragrance free.

Cons:

  • It feels a bit greasy on the face, but a face wash/cleanser will solve the problem

Other than this, I cannot think of any negative points.

Do I Recommend?:

I would recommend this remover for all skin types. It’s economically priced too. I’ve been using this for the last three months, and I haven’t even finished half the bottle.


Would I re-purchase?:

Definitely yes! The main reason being it lasts long and never broke me out!
