Today I am going to review a brown eyeliner from my current favorite makeup products. I purchased this liquid eyeliner online when I recently hauled from MUA. Read on to know more about the product!
This eyeliner comes in a neat plastic tube with a sleek applicator – very similar to Faces Ultimate Pro Eyeliner. (But this one has a flat structure) The applicator brush which it carries is a felt tip one and I find nothing messy about the packaging part while considering its price. The body of the tube reveals the color of the eyeliner.
Shade No.6 is described as a dark brown shade by the brand and well, it is true! It is one of beautiful brown eyeliners I have ever come across. If seen from a distance, it almost looks black and so it is wearable. If you are new to colored eyeliners, I highly recommend this shade to you. If you are a regular black eyeliner user and you feel you need a change – then try this. No.6 is a beautiful dark chocolate brown color (It’s few shades darken than Cadbury Dairy Milk) 😛
|Soon After Application|
|After Getting Dried|
After application, it takes 2-3 minutes to get dried off completely and leaves a semi glossy finish that looks natural. On me, this brown liquid eyeliner stayed for 5-6 hours without smudging and then fades evenly. The staying power is really great for the price! My mild face cleansers did not remove this properly and hence you will need at least a light eye makeup remover to remove this eyeliner.
I am wearing this eyeliner here with Elle 18 Kajal on my waterline. Excuse my messy eyebrow!
The applicator picks up right amount of the product and it is quite good. (Though not excellent in terms of ease of application). This shade ‘dark brown’ is well pigmented and gives that opaque finish with single swipe. If worn above an eye shadow or eye pigment, you will need 2 swipes to achieve the perfect color.
My only ‘dislike’ is the smell! This eyeliner smells extremely ‘chemical-like’. I did not like its fragrance even a bit. I prefer my eye products to be fragrance-free. Anyhow, from an eyeliner below 100 INR, there’s nothing to expect high. I have bought two other shades of MUA liquid eyeliners along with this one and I will be reviewing them soon.
Why I like?:
- Super affordable price
- Good packaging
- Average quality applicator
- No.6 is a beautiful dark chocolate brown shade!
- Very wearable shade – photographs almost black
- Pigmentation is good. The texture is smooth too
- Staying power is awesome for the price!
Why I don’t like?:
- Availability in India
- Bad chemical-like smell! Grr..
I highly recommend these eyeliners for their price and quality. You have to read reviews and check swatches online before buying one from their website – just to know about the pigmentation and quality because some shades are greatly pigmented whereas few other are duds! Anyhow, I love this dark brown shade very much and I will be repurchasing it once I finish this tube!
You know what? I found these two little neem tree embryos today morning when I took Tommy for a walk. I was afraid they might die due to heavy rain or speedy vehicles. So I took these two cuties home – planted them in paper coffee cups and named them Pinky and Ponky! 🙂 I am going to plant them soon in a pot and grow them till they achieve at least 15 cm in height. And then I have to plant them somewhere else safely! See how cute they look with tiny leaves!
P.S: I must thank Pinky and Ponky’s mother tree for being my skin’s best friend! 🙂
