11 Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks Review and Swatches

A few days back, one of our writers suggested me to make a post on all Elle 18 lipsticks that were reviewed on MABH. While going through the posts, I realized that 11 Elle 18 lipsticks have been reviewed on MABH till today! Packaging:

Elle 18 Color Pops Lipsticks come in a cute black plastic lipstick bullet with a twist up bottom. The shade name and number are printed on the bottom of the lipsticks. The packaging makes these tiny ones easy to carry, user friendly and mess free. The only problem you might have to face is ‘breakage’. If you are living in hotter cities of India (Eg. Chennai) then I am sure it would melt and break from the bottom if not stored inside the refrigerator. But for 100 bucks.. hmm well, I am not complaining.

 

General Points:

• The lipsticks are more prone to breakage if not stored in a refrigerator.
• These lipsticks smell sweet, bubble gum-like; but few girls out there hate the smell!
• All these lipsticks contain a moisturizing core in the center to prevent lips from drying.
• The staying power ranges from 2-4 hours but not more than that due to the creamy nature.
• If you have dry lips, these lipsticks are best affordable picks for you!
• For 100 bucks, these are one of the best selling lipsticks in India.
• No one I know has ever experienced allergies/irritation with these lippies.

1. Elle 18 Color Pops Coral Shine Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) Coral shine is a beautiful shimmer-free coral pink shade on the bullet, but it tends to look more pink on the lips. This particular shade is suitable for fair-medium skinned girls because of its brightness and a bit neony tint. The lipstick leaves a glossy finish behind and stays maximum for 2 hours.

2. Elle 18 Color Pops Cranberry Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) Cranberry is a beautiful brick red shade with minute golden shimmer that give a mild-golden finish to the lips. This lipstick is well pigmented that it covers all the imperfections of the lips with single swipe, leaving lips moisturized. You can also use this lipstick as a bronzer due to the lovely golden shimmer. Interesting isn’t it? But if you are not much into shimmery lipsticks, you might not like this shade Cranberry. (But yummy name na??)

3. Elle 18 Color Pops Pink Fever Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) The shade Pink Fever is a beautiful starters pink-red shade with maroon undertones. It contain very minute, almost invisible pink shimmers for a glossy look. The lipstick is well pigmented and not drying on lips.

4. Elle 18 Color Pops Pomegranate Pie Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) This is one of the best affordable mauve pink lipsticks available in India. For 100 bucks, this shade is absolutely a steal. Its a mess free, shimmer free creamy pink lipstick with a hint of mauve. Pale, wheatish, tan or dark.. Whatever skin color you might be, this one will suit you for sure!

5. Elle 18 Color Pops Cinnamon Bun Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) Unlike the other Elle 18 lippies, this one is a not-so-pigmented shade. But cinnamon bun has a beautiful coral toned orange color. It’s almost a coral nude for fair-medium skinned girls. If you have clean, non pigmentation lips and searching for that summery coral shade, then cinnamon bun if for you. This shade might wash out on dark skinned damsels.

6. Elle 18 Color Pops Pinken Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) This is one of my favorite nude pink lipsticks with a subtle mauve tint. After reading all Elle 18 reviews on MABH, I finally placed my eye on this. On my dark skin, it looks perfect. If you are lippy starter, then this a must buy shade for you. Pinken is a bit milder than pomegranate pie, and it is not so pigmented as the darker shades in this range. But it moisturizes lips very well and give a sheer glossy pink finish which is almost natural. It is suitable for all skin types! No one will find if you are wearing a lipstick.

7. Elle 18 Color Pops Rusty Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in)Rusty is a beautiful orange toned coral shade with no shimmers. Its well pigmented than cinnamon bun and glides smoothly onto the lips without pulling or tugging. It covers pigmented lips well with 2-3 swipes and stays for 2-3 hours leaving no tint behind – which is good for a 100 bucks lipstick. If you are a summer shade loving girl, have fun with Rusty! I am sure you won’t regret buying this.

8. Elle 18 Color Pops Roasty Red Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) Roasty Red is a burnt red shade with a hint of maroon. This lipstick is not-so-pigmented; you will need 4-5 swipes to get the right color pay off. It stays for an average time leaving no tint behind. If you have dry lips, you will love this lipstick. Other than the cons, this lipstick suits all skin tones; so surely not a dud!

9. Elle 18 Color Pops Coral Romance Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) Coral Romance is a bright coral shade with a super matte finish. It has no silly shimmers and gives that perfect glossy matte finish. Its a shade meant for summer and it would suit fair-dusky skinned girls the best. If you are dark skinned, you can skip this and eye out for the other shades. If you can carry the shade, then it will look flattering on your dark caramel skin too! A best coral lipstick under 100 INR. Who will say no?

10. Elle 18 Color Pops Spice Ginger Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) This lipstick has a nude-brown shade with lots of shimmer! It is creamy, sheer and very moisturizing but unfortunately, the shade is not build-able. However you swipe it, it is not going to help with your pigmented lips. If you have those perfect lips, then you might like this shade. The cons of this shade spice ginger are the ugly shimmers present in it and of course the bad staying power. (May be due to the sheer texture.. huh?!)

11. Elle 18 Color Pops Fresh Orchids Lipstick: (Buy : Amazon.in) Last but not the least, Fresh Orchids is a beautiful pink-maroon shade with a hint of copper. It will suit all skin tones and it is not very loud on the lips. The pigmentation is good but not great though. You will need 3-4 swipes to get the original color pay off. The texture is as usual creamy and moisturizing.
