Elle 18 Glow Compact Marble Review and FOTD

I have a weird liking for compact powders; I love to buy a lot even if I know I am not going to wear them. The main reason for this liking is that whenever I am going out, I only use compact powders; so, it is my daily need. Recently, the budget friendly Indian makeup brand Elle 18 launched their new makeup range with foundation and compact. I have reviewed the Elle 18 Glow Foundation and today I am here to review Elle 18 Glow Compact.

My Experience with Elle 18 Glow Compact:

Elle 18 compact comes in a black packaging. It has a cardboard box and inside you will see the round compact. The packaging of the compact is very average, nothing special or attractive. Though, it is very light and travel friendly, it will fit any purse or even clutch. But, I would love a better packaging. There is also an inbuilt mirror and an applicator. The applicator is of good quality, no complaints there.

The powder is very soft and velvety. It blends into skin very smoothly. The formula of this powder is very skin friendly. Also, the applicator is just perfect for applying the compact. Though, I have medium skin tone, I went for the lightest shade of this compact, as I had really a hard time picking the right shade. The SA suggested me Marble shade, and it looks quite good.

I do not wear foundation or tinted creams a lot, most of the time, I puff compact powders and I feel I am good to go. This compact is perfect for daily wear or light coverage. Those who want heavy coverage might found this compact useless.

Elle 18 Glow Compact suits me quite well, I have sensitive combination skin, and it did not cause me any break out or rashes. It stays on for average time, around 4 hours. Then its starts to wear off, I mean fade. If applied with primer and foundation, it stays for longer, like 5-6 hours which I feel is decent looking at its price tag!

The good parts are, it gives a natural glow (like mentioned in its name only) which the Elle 18 foundation failed to provide. Though the coverage is light, yet the finish of this compact powder is quite good. Sometimes, to bring the glow in compacts, some products are found filled with micro glitters or shimmers, but it has nothing like that. The powder is purely matte.

• The packaging could have been better
• Stays for maximum 4 hours

Yes, if you are looking for a light coverage daily wear compact without spending a lot, then go for it.

 

Would I Repurchase?

I am not sure yet, but may be yes. :)
