I am back after short hiatus from reviewing, but I am all charged have some great reviews lined up only for you. I hope you are all enjoying the much awaited monsoons. This in fact is my favorite time of the year. I love the sound of rains and cool breeze in my balcony sipping chai with pakoras.. mmm drooling already ;)
Monsoons also call for the need of a great skin care regime and good quality makeup products. So today I’ll be reviewing one such great product; a nice black eye pencil/liner that’s a must for every woman’s vanity bag.

Key Ingredients:
The pencil comes in a signature Black MAC case with sleek long MAC eye pencil with black bottom and gray cap.
The color is not the blackest of black but it does come off as nice black with creamy smooth and glide on eye formula with mild kohl kind of smell.
This is the best eye pencil I’ve used by far and I’m not saying this because its MAC but because its quality speaks for itself. It’s really waterproof, smudge proof, non transferring as it claims and no pulling or tugging required :) The formula does not sting/itches my eyes at all so much so that I once took a nap with the liner on and still my eyes did not sting or itch at all after waking up.
The consistency is very smooth and creamy and glides on eye lids and gives an ultimate matte finish to the eyes, it stays where it is even after 12+ hours even on the super oily lids like mine.. Yay!! (Happy dance)
Before and After Water Test:
Staying power is super awesome for both lids and waterline. It can be smudged for a smokey if freshly applied but after its sets after about a minute it stays and stays for good :)
I like all kinds of liners but I love the pencil ones the most. This one eye pencil did burn a hole in my pocket but because it does what it claims, I really don’t mind it!!
This has become my HG eye pencil, don’t think will ever get tired of using it.

Yes, absolutely if you are fan of good quality black eye pencil, this a worth a shot.

Totally, I love this so much that I can keep buying the same shade again and again :P

I saved all my ice creams, chocolates, samosas, films, books paisa just for you alone. It took many nights to decide about bringing you home or not. Finally I gave you are a warm welcome into my heart and now you are sitting comfortably in my home. That BABY is my favorite MAC Eye Kojl. Since it’s a baby I wanted to give a poetic welcome and my expressions of love too. :) No more poems, lets move on to the review.

My Experience:
I have a love-hate relationship with this product. I love its packaging. Who doesn’t love black? It comes in a standard matte black MAC rectangular box. The pencil is black in color. It is a normal type of pencil that needs to be sharpened. But I think it is quite long when compared to the other pencils. So it can last you for quite a long time.
The texture of this kohl is really smooth and creamy. It glides on eyes like butter, hence no tugging and pulling around eyes. Even though it has a creamy texture it doesn’t break while sharpening. Most importantly, it has that blackest black color that every girl wants.
As it is well pigmented you just need few swipes of this to get a jet black eye. It is not smudge proof actually. If you have watery eyes this is not for you, because it smudges so badly when eyes are rubbed accidentally. But once it settles it stays for a long time. It is not waterproof but water resistant. At the end of the day, it fades but doesn’t give you that raccoon eyes. I wear contact lens and it doesn’t irritate my eyes. Overall, it is not so worth of money but still a decent product.
On My Eyes:
Rating: 3.5/5 (for being expensive, non smudge proof and non waterproof)
Do I Recommend?:
Yes, if you need a jet black kohl to create smokey looks and if you don’t have watery eyes and hyperactive hands. Not to forget if you don’t mind the heavy price tag.
Would I Repurchase?:
No. I cant break my piggy bank again. I think Lakme Eyeconic kajal works better than this.

Packaging: It comes in their classy black boxes. The lipstick is in standard bullet shaped cases which I really like with MAC engraved on the cap with good quantity of the lipstick.
Color, Consistency & Texture: It is a sheer plum shade which I finalised after trying a lot of shades in MAC stores. One thing I just love about the MAC’s SA’s is that they are very patient and learned, always giving you the right advice and are never pushy or force you to buy anything, they are equally happy with you on swatching the products :)
Coming to the texture, which is really creamy and super lustrous. It does not set heavy on your lips. A single coat gives you a very sheer coverage but 2-3 coats give you an opaque and slightly build-able coverage. It has a very pleasant vanilla/toffee like scent and makes you keep re-applying it.
How it works: You can apply it directly or as a top coat after filling it with a matching lip liner. I applied it directly and it glides so smoothly on the lips. It is super-moisturous :) It’s a lovely kind of baked plum colour and very sheer too as you see in the swatch.

What I loved about this lip shade is that it is best for t a girl who has slightly pigmented/dark lips because it imparts a very beautiful vintage color to your lips which really brightens up your face and makes your lips super lustrous and does not settle in fine lines. Though I am not very impressed with the staying power of the lipstick; it stayed on my lips for around 2-3 hours. But the best thing is that it does not bleed and fades leaving a very nice lip stain. In short I liked the lipstick and it is one of the best products of M.A.C.

Yeah..! totally Its one of the MAC’s classic..and worth every penny..
