Today I am going to review MAC Lipstick in Sheer Plum Shade.

My Experience:
Packaging: It comes in their classy black boxes. The lipstick is in standard bullet shaped cases which I really like with MAC engraved on the cap with good quantity of the lipstick.
Color, Consistency & Texture: It is a sheer plum shade which I finalised after trying a lot of shades in MAC stores. One thing I just love about the MAC’s SA’s is that they are very patient and learned, always giving you the right advice and are never pushy or force you to buy anything, they are equally happy with you on swatching the products :)
Coming to the texture, which is really creamy and super lustrous. It does not set heavy on your lips. A single coat gives you a very sheer coverage but 2-3 coats give you an opaque and slightly build-able coverage. It has a very pleasant vanilla/toffee like scent and makes you keep re-applying it.
How it works: You can apply it directly or as a top coat after filling it with a matching lip liner. I applied it directly and it glides so smoothly on the lips. It is super-moisturous :) It’s a lovely kind of baked plum colour and very sheer too as you see in the swatch.

What I loved about this lip shade is that it is best for t a girl who has slightly pigmented/dark lips because it imparts a very beautiful vintage color to your lips which really brightens up your face and makes your lips super lustrous and does not settle in fine lines. Though I am not very impressed with the staying power of the lipstick; it stayed on my lips for around 2-3 hours. But the best thing is that it does not bleed and fades leaving a very nice lip stain. In short I liked the lipstick and it is one of the best products of M.A.C.
PROS:
- Easily Available
- Glides smoothly over the lips
- Pretty shade
- Extremely moisturizing and super lustrous
- Pleasant smell
- Ideal for dark or Pigmented lips
- Does not settle in fine lines
CONS:
- A bit pricey for me( but worth it)
- Not happy with the staying power

Yeah..! totally Its one of the MAC’s classic..and worth every penny..
Would I Repurchase?:
Yes, absolutely I would love to try other shades from their huge collection.! :)

Hey nice color Deepti, am happy that it would work for people with pigmented lips like yours truly :). I was wondering if it would make you look darker esp around the lips?? :-/
No dear..It does not make you look dark around the lip..it is quite a wearable lippie and really gives a nice plum shade to the lips..the best thing about it is that it can be worn in daytime effortlessly as it gives a sheer Look..:)
