Maybelline Instaglam Valentine’s Gift Kit : Price, Review and Photos

Valentine’s day is around the corner and love is already in the air! In a befitting manner, Maybeline Newyork launched the Valentine’s day gift kit in 3 shades- pink, coral and red. I got the pink one about which I’ll be sharing with you all today.
Price : Rs.999 for a kit
The kit comes in a pink colored bag with a beautiful silver (heart) embellishment. I find it compact and neat! There are 6 products present in the bag which instantly made me feel the price tag is SO affordable! You get 6 hit products from a well known brand for such a reasonable price – a must grab deal I would say!
Contents of the kit:
1. Maybelline Colossal Kohl – Turquoise | Price : Rs.249 for 0.35g
I wanted to try this shade ever since it was launched. I love experimenting different shades of liners and hence, I hope this to be one of my very favorites! I already use their Colossal Kajal in the shade black!
2. Maybelline Hyper Curl Volume Express Mascara – Easy Wash | Price : Rs.275
Few most of the mascaras I tried lately seemed to cause hair fall on my lashes! Every time I dab the makeup remover and wipe my eyelids, I noticed 2-3 strands of my lash line hair which gave me a little-heart ache. I hence wanted to try a washable mascara and that is when this one landed my stash perfectly! I am also hearing good things about the Maybelline Falsies Mascara and might try it sometime!
3. Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Polish – Glam 2 | Price : Rs.450
I’ve already tried one from this range of lip polishes! I forgot the name of the shade but it POP 1 was a beautiful, shimmer-free coral gloss. Now I am excited to try Glam 2 which seems to be a shade from the pink family!
4. Maybelline Bold Matte Lipstick – Mat 1 | Price : Rs.425
All bold matte lipsticks have been swatched on MABH already! (Check here) I so wanted to try their ‘matte’ formula but then didn’t get even one for unknown reasons! Hence I am happy that I got the Mat 1 lipstick with this kit! I’ll be getting more shades from this range if I am impressed with the pigmentation and the texture of this lipstick!
5. Maybelline Fruity Jelly High Shine Sheer Color – Sparkling Grape | Price : Rs.190
This lip balm comes in a mini tube and reminds me of my school days! I’ve used similar tube-filled balms in floral/fruity flavors when I was a school kid!
6. Maybelline Color Show Nail Enamel Hooked on Pink | Price : Rs.85
I have a very similar pink enamel from this same range. Not sure about the name; Candy Pink. Maybe? However, Hooked on Pink is also a beautiful bright pink shade that I would love to try! These are great nail colors for the VERY affordable price!
Overall, the concept of pouches and kits from Maybelline is brilliant! The Valetine’s kit contain goodies worth Rs.1600 aprox but what we pay is 600 INR less than the actual worth of the contents – which is an interesting deal! I am looking forward to do a quick makeup look with the products I got on Valentine’s day! Turquoise lined eyes and pink lips will be a perfect not-so-loud makeup look for the day! Isn’t it?
If you are someone who is into multi-product bags, pouches and monthly-subscription boxes, I highly recommend this gift kit to you! This also makes an excellent Valentine’s day gift! :)

First of all I would like to say that the work done by you on your blog is really appreciable. I saw it one day accidently and started loving it. It’s really marvellous. It’s really very beneficial for the gals who have interest in caring and adoring their skin.
Would you please help in knowing the expiry of the Maybelline products. It’s mentioned on the products, I know; but being a home-maker I can’t use all the products within that duration. I have one Maybelline colossal Kajal which I am using from the last three years occasionally, it’s still left. :) Can continue using it because it still looks like the new ones.
