Hi lovelies! :)
It is good to write again for MABH after a break. I had already mentioned that I had to seek medical help to tame my crazy breakouts and acne. Post treatment, I am eyeing only the mild oil free cleansers to maintain my skin balance. The Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser is one such product that I tried during that time and it stood out to be pretty good. I skipped the foaming facial cleanser since it was of a crème consistency as opposed to this gel based face wash.
INR 95 for 50 ml
My Take on Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Cleanser:
At the outset, the bottle is made up of clear plastic and a flip cap that lets you see the amount of product left. Larger bottles have a pump dispenser but I bought only a travel sized one.
The face wash is golden yellow and gel based which will be apt for oily and pimple prone skin rather than crème face washes. The face wash clears the skin off all dirt, makeup and impurities. The skin feels softer and cleaner as claimed. However, neither does my skin glow nor does it feel very fresh. It just does it’s job of effective cleansing without drying out my skin. The oil balance is restored without making my skin stretchy. But my super oily skin will need something more during summers. As for other seasons, it is fine.
This face wash contains Salicylic acid which is an exfoliant that helps keep pimples under control. So my skin did not breakout even once while using this product. It gets huge thumbs up for that fact. The fragrance is mild like some baby product but just tolerable.
Moreover, this doesn’t lather much so it takes some time before you can judge how much will be required to clean your face. Speaking of which only a coin sized amount is sufficient to cleanse your face. If you prefer using foaming face washes then I am afraid this ain’t your cup of tea.
Why I like this face wash? :
- Gentle mild cleansing
- Removes all impurities
- Does not dry out the skin
- Soft supple skin
- Compact packaging
- Salicylic acid
- No breakouts
Why I don’t like this face wash?:
- Slightly pricey
- Not suitable for summers
- Less lather
MABH Rating: 4/5
Overall, it is a decent gentle face wash with salicylic acid yet it doesn’t cater to super oily skin.
