Today it is the product of all seasons, sunscreen!. And one can go on singing praises for them. However, I am very picky and tend to have a liking for the ones that come as lotions more than the cream ones. I have been a Lakme sunscreen loyalist for a really long time but decided to move on.

Lotus Herbal Seduction Botanical Lip Gloss Candy Floss Review

Today I am going to review Lotus Herbals Botanical Lip Gloss in shade Candy Floss. Lotus Herbal seduction botanical lip gloss is a unique, high gloss lip care formulation with a non-sticky feel. It is enriched with botanical extracts of Grapes and Jojoba that make lips soft and supple for long.

The unique product qualities are ‘The sponge brush applicator for smooth even application and the freedom to use as top coat without affecting lip color’ This is what the company claims.To know whether it is a worth buy or not, read the below lines.

Active Ingredients:

Jojoba Oil: Jojoba helps promote healing of the skin. Its antimicrobial properties in addition to the chemical composition that closely resembles skin’s natural sebum, makes it easy to absorb and non-allergic even in the most sensitive individuals.

Grape Seed: The antioxidants in the oil are known for their health giving properties and are more powerful than vitamin C and vitamin E.

My Take on Lotus Herbal Seduction Botanical Lip Gloss Candy Floss:

I love wearing lip glosses in my daily life because they keep my lips moisturized all time and when that is from a herbal range, then sone pe suhaga :) One day while I was searching some online sites, found this one.The name Candy Floss tempted me to buy.

Then as usual I searched some reviews of it and luckily got some good ones. After that not wasting a single minute booked an order. When the gloss came to my door step I immediately applied and my expression was like ‘Wow.. Such a good lip gloss!’

This lip gloss comes in a transparent plastic tube with a sponge applicator. The applicator is very steady and give a smooth and even coverage. Candy Floss is a very sweet pink color gloss with tiny fine shimmer in it. When I applied, it leaves a tint of color on my lips. This gloss is neither opaque nor sheer. The texture is non-sticky and not so thick which I really like. I personally don’t like sticky and heavy glosses to wear daily. It has a very sweet vanilla fragrance which lasts for a while. It moisturizes my lips well and doesn’t feel heavy on lips. It lasts for a good 4-5 hours on my lips without having a meal in between.

Overall it is a good herbal lip gloss which is pocket friendly. Even I apply it over my nude/pink lipstick to add some additional shimmers into it

What I like about this Lip Gloss?:

  • Nice pink color
  • Budget friendly
  • Good quality applicator which gives smooth and even application
  • Doesn’t feel heavy on lips
  • Non sticky in formulation
  • It hydrates and moisturizes my lips
  • Stays 4-5 hours without having meals in between

What I don’t like about this Lip Gloss?:

  • None!

Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Lip Gloss Pink Hypnotic Review

Hello Beauties!!
Those who are gloss lovers, this is a kind of gloss to drool on.  Since when Lotus launches its ‘Pure Stay’ ranges, it has captured the market immensely. Firstly because of its wide variants’, good quality, great coverage and reasonably low price. I am not a fan of Lotus original variants at all, no specific reason but its just don’t excite me.. nah not at all. :/

But this Pure Stay range is basically a makeup range consist of Foundation, Pressed Powders, Blushes, lipsticks, lip glosses, eye shadows, eyeliners, liner pencils, etc etc.. :P

Price: 

Rs 395 for 8 gm

(The quantity is huge considering the price, isn’t it??)

Active Ingredients:   

Evening Primrose Oil, Grape Seed Oil and Vitamin E.

My Take on Lotus Herbals Pure Stay Lip Gloss Pink Hypnotic:

Pink Hypnotic is one of the beautiful colour which Lotus Pure Stay lip gloss has. The packaging of the gloss bottle is sleek, manageable and handy. It is easily adjustable in your purse or handbags. Its has a doe applicator which help gloss glide on smoothly on lips.

I like how pure stay range reasonably priced to serve each sector of society. Thumbs up for that (Y)!! The quality is also great along with the pigmentation. If you guys remember few months back Lotus had an offer of 50% off on purchase on or above Rs 800. This is when I picked up this gloss along with Pure stay foundation.

The colour of this shade is coral pink which has subtle shimmer in it. Its not overboard but right amount of sparkle needed to add that glow. It has opaque finish to it and need multiple quotes to understand the actual colour. The only downside which I don’t like is its sticky and feel heavy on lips otherwise it has a good staying powder. On me its stay put for almost 2-3 hours without munching. After that it disappear from lips gradually. Its thick consistency gives moisturizing effect and do not dry up lips.

On My Lips:

Why I like this Lip Gloss?:

  • The coral colour which I like the most. It’s a must have colour for lip gloss lovers.
  • The staying power is good considering the price.
  • Very sheer opaque finish, which you can top it on your lipstick to add shine.
  • Instantly add glow to your face.
  • Moisturizing.

Why I don’t like this Lip Gloss?:

  • As said I hate those sticky feeling on my lips.
  • Don’t cover pigmentation so much.
  • Need multiple swipes to show up actual colour.

Final Verdict: I would definitely recommend this lipgloss or rather this shade to every gloss lovers. Its suits every skin tones. I really like this J . Nice thing is they have loads of shades available to choose from. Nice sturdy gloss bottle, cool shades, packaging and the wands. Go get it. You won’t be disappointed.

Lotus Herbals Strawberry Lip Balm Review and Swatches

Hello ladies! How are you all doing? Today I’ll review a lip balm that somehow can’t find its way into my regularly-used lip balm stash. It is the Lotus Herbals Lip Balm in Strawberry. I saw this lying in my drawer the other day, barely used. I bought this about a year back and I began wondering why I hadn’t like it. Maybe I had misjudged it? So in a way, this review is for you as well as me! Read on to know whether this poor lip balm didn’t get the respect it deserved, or if it was rightfully ignored!

My Take on the Lotus Herbals Strawberry Lip Balm:

Yes, yes the tub packaging is cute. But I don’t feel like investing in a brush for a lip balm, and I keep my nails slightly long so I invariably find myself in a messy situation when I apply this lip balm :( I think it is high time that they changed the packaging of this lip balm; lip pots are slowly becoming obsolete for a reason!

Coming to the texture of the lip balm, it is quite smooth and feels soft on the lips, not heavy or waxy at all. It has a creamy balm like shine to it too. The only problem I have with this is the pigmentation. There is none! It looks delightfully red in the tub but when applied, hardly any colour shows up.

If you have even slightly pigmented lips, you may as well opt for a non-tinted lip balm instead. If you try to layer it to get some colour, that doesn’t work either because then the balm starts to feel a bit heavy. The lip balm stays on my lips for about 3-4 hours. It definitely doesn’t survive a meal.

What I like about this lip balm?

  • Reasonably priced
  • Pleasant fragrance
  • Moisturizing to an extent
  • Does not feel heavy, waxy or sticky on the lips, unless a lot is applied

What I don’t like about this lip balm?

  • Tub packaging is SO inconvenient to use and unhygienic.
  • Colour payoff is practically non-existent. Hello what about us girls with pigmented lips?!
  • Girls with very dry lips won’t find this hydrating enough

Final word: 

I am sure this is an HG lip balm for many girls out there but the catch is that it has very poor pigmentation and average hydrating power. So if you are blessed with good lips then you could go for this, and it may even become your best friend. But if your lips are very dry or chapped or pigmented, I would say it is safer to steer clear of this one.


Will I repurchase?: 

Nope, there are tons of strawberry lip balms in the market that are much better than this one for about the same price! This lip balm fares poorly when compared with the Avon Naturals Strawberry lip balm and the Nivea Fruity Shine lip balms. Plus the latter ones come in twist-up packaging!

Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Anti Acne Oil Control Face Wash Review

Good day amigos!
I am today reviewing Lotus Tea Tree & Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash. I have never used Lotus face washes, its name got me interested and I thought of giving it a try. So, moving on to the review, here are the details.

Claims:

Lotus Tea Tree & Cinnamon Anti-Acne Oil Control Face Wash is specially formulated for acne-prone and oily-skin. This oil-control anti acne face wash contains Tea Tree oil, Cinnamon and Oak Bark extracts which removes excessive oils while regulating the sebum (oil) production in the skin. These special ingredients in this premium face wash decrease acne-type lesions and combat free radicals leaving the skin fresh, clean and clearer.


Price and quantity: 

Rs. 75 for 50 g, Rs. 125 for 80 g.


Key Ingredients:

Tea tree and cinnamon extracts


Usage Directions:

Squeeze a small amount on wet palm of your hand. Apply on wet face with circular motions. Wash off. Use regularly mornings & evenings and follow with Lotus Herbals ACNE GEL for best result.

Shelf life: 

3 years.

My Take on Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Face Wash:

Lotus Tea Tree & Cinnamon Anti Acne Oil Control Face Wash is a liquid gel, full with tiny white beads and it comes in a tube with flip top cap. The smell is ridiculously weird; it reminds me of some toothpaste or cough syrup from my childhood (maybe the smell of tea tree and peppermint oil). Anyways, the gel is not so thick, quite runny. That’s why I have to be very careful whenever I pour it on my hand.

A small amount of it will lather pretty well and the beads are also very mild. What really makes this face wash so-so for me is it leaves a slippery effect after rinsing. It takes more than 15 splashes and rubbing off to get the slippery effect out, and yet after that I feel I should wash more.

It cleans the skin very well, once rinsed and pat-dried, I see the squeaky clean skin. Now about controlling oil, it works hardly 4-5 hours (which I feel is quite fine) in summer days. It does not leave my skin dry either (I have normal skin with T-zone oily). It keeps my facial skin well moisturized and at the same time controls oil.

The other good thing about this face wash is it gives a fresh feel after washing off. But, as the product claims about acne, I did not feel any difference or improvements to note down. So, overall it is a so-so face wash for me, because it has too many cons that I cannot overlook.

Why I like this Face Wash?:

  • Cleans well.
  • Keeps skin moisture.
  • Controls oil for some hours.
  • Good packaging.
  • Fells refreshing afterwards.
  • Affordable price.
  • Travel friendly.

Why I don’t like this Face Wash?:

  • Contains SLES, Paraben.
  • Leaves a slippery effect.
  • Smells weird.
  • Does nothing for acne.

Do I Recommend?:

Yes, it is a quite good face wash (If you are ready to bear the cons).

Would I Repurchase?:

No. I will search for a better one.

Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Tinted Lip Gloss Berry Blush Review

Hello everyone!
I’ll be reviewing now, one of the best lip glosses I’ve used till date – Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Tinted Lip Gloss in the shade ‘Berry Blush’. I’m a bit late on the bandwagon with this one, but it’s such a gorgeous lip gloss that I really wanted to share my love for it with you all. So here we go :)

My Take on Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Tinted Lip Gloss Berry Blush:

The gloss comes in a transparent plastic tube with a golden plastic cap. The cap screws on and doesn’t allow any leakages so it’s pretty efficient that way.

Berry Blush is a berry-toned pink. The colour will look flattering on pretty much all skin tones. I have a medium to fair skin tone (fair when all my tan is gone :P) and it makes my skin look healthy and glowing and my lips look fuller.

The gloss has extremely fine silver shimmer. The shimmer is not very marked or obvious, but it’s there. However, it barely shows up on the lips, as you can see from the photos. (All images are without flash so that you can see the actual colour)

The gloss has a standard doe foot applicator. The texture of the gloss is smooth and it spreads easily and evenly on application.

The finish of the gloss is not fully opaque on my lips since, like I said, they are quite pigmented (I need to stop drinking so much coffee!) however on girls with lighter lips, the gloss would give better coverage and the colour would show better. The gloss in itself is quite pigmented and a single swipe is enough to cover my lips with enough colour.

It does not feel heavy or sticky on my lips. The fragrance is pleasant. Okay you have to bear with me here. I’m terrible at describing fragrances. But the fragrance is a bit out of place. I mean, maybe you’d associate it with a powder or something instead. But it’s very mild and not bothersome at all. The staying power is quite good – about 3-4 hours. It will not survive meals though.

PROS of Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Tinted Lip Gloss Berry Blush: 

  • Reasonably priced
  • Decent colour payoff even on pigmented lips
  • Universally flattering shade
  • Definitely less sticky than other glosses that I’ve tried such as the basic Lakme, Avon and Vaseline ones
  • The shine is not over the top at all, it’s just right (girls who like their glosses to have a LOT of shine may be a tad disappointed with this).
  • Moisturizing (though not to the extent that you can substitute it for a lip balm)
  • Easy to apply
  • Does not feel heavy or goopy on the lips

CONS of Lotus Herbals Seduction Botanical Tinted Lip Gloss Berry Blush:

  • Won’t show up fully on very pigmented lips
  • Staying power could have been better

Final word: This lip gloss is pigmented, moisturizing and without doubt a value for money. 5 ml will last you a long time and it can worn in the day time or night time. It provides good coverage without being over the top, sticky or too shimmery. The lip swatch hasn’t done it justice, though I tried like crazy. All in all, it’s a must-have product!
