MUA Liquid Eyeliner Shade 4 : Review, Swatches

After a very long time, I am going to review an eyeliner today. I purchased this MUA eyeliner in shade 4 long ago from their official website. This is one of my very favorite shades of colored eyeliners however it failed to impress me. Read on to know why.

My Views:

These MUA colored eyeliners come in a tiny tube with an applicator wand. The wand is not of very fine quality and the tube is little flimsy, however I am not complaining because of the price. The shade number/name is printed on the tube. This eyeliner fits easily inside your purse/clutch.

Shade No.4 is a plain grey with minute silver shimmer present in it. In spite of the shimmer, the eyeliner slides effortlessly on my eyelids like a cream liner. It takes 2-3 minutes to dry completely depending on the coats. With one swipe, it doesn’t feel so pigmented. Hence, I make sure to always apply two coats, to get the rich silver color. I love wearing this shade with all my coral lipsticks!

Though the shade looks fabulous for the price with good pigmentation, the complete DOWNSIDE of this eyeliner is the staying power. It doesn’t fade or melt; it is water resistant however it peels off strangely, within 1-2 hours of application. I am not sure whether it is only with the tube I got however it peels of very badly making my eyes look meh. Hence, I only use it inside the house to click pictures and etc. and definitely not outside as it has got a very bad staying power. Next time, I am trying it with a black eyeliner beneath and let me see how well it stays without peeling. Any suggestions?

Conclusion:

I like this eyeliner only for the shade but it is definitely not a product that I’d repurchase as it failed to stay on my eyelids. After all, staying powder is very important for me when it comes to eye makeup. MUA liquid eyeliner in brown was pretty good; It is a beautiful chocolate shade! I am not sure whats wrong with this shade 4. I won’t be picking it again. However, I am eyeing out for some products from their new collection. You can soon expect a haul post!
