VOV Lip Color Berry Angel Review and Swatches

As the sun shines bright, I look into each day with more thoughtful insights and a positive outlook. Sounding philosophical, eh? Actually I am much into novels these days. I mean what could be more interesting than reading novels in lazy winter afternoons! Coming to the point, today I am reviewing VOV Lip Color, Shade Number 8 – Berry Angel.

My Take on VOV Lip Color Berry Angel:

Though I am much of a lipstick person this lip color caught my fancy, much for the name of the shade. I have bought this lip gloss recently when I was in search for a hot shade of red. Berry Angel is an enticing red that glam up my face noticeably. It is a maroon based red shade with a gloss finish and no shimmer touch, just the way I like it. Coming to the color, it is just the perfect shade to wear with your party dress. And I tell you, my friends are flooding me with compliments ever since I first wore it.

It comes in a transparent tube with a screw open top lid. The applicator is very light and easy to apply. Its travel friendly and perfect to carry around for touch ups!

It is sheer and mildly pigmented. The texture is so smooth and creamy that it spreads evenly without settling into fine lines. However it scores less on moisturisation.

I usually apply it over a lip balm, especially now in winters. Since it is sheer, I apply two coats for the perfect color. The staying power is as long as 4-5 hours unless you eat anything. But above all, I love it the most for it is non-sticky!

 

Why I like this Lip Gloss?:

• Easy application
• Appreciable staying power
• A perfect party shade

 

Why I don’t like this Lip Gloss?:

• Poor moisturization
• Availabity might be an issue

Final Verdict:

It is a glam chic lip color to wear for parties. The best part, it comes easy on pocket too! I am so much in love with these lip colors that I already picked another shade from this range. It is shade no. 11 Red Current – review coming up soon!  ;-)
