Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick Alarm Review

Hey pretty ladies! :)

This autumn/winter is more of bright colors and bold lipsticks. I was always in search of a good red, you know what I mean by that. A good red which is easy to carry off.

I feel, the Hyderabad people are still backward in accepting the red lips (yeah, I belong to Hyderabad.) Anyway, I was curious when I heard about this brand and really wanting to try them. May be because they are not desi :P the urge to own them is even more. This lipstick is named Alarm which instantly wakes you up. I mean your face,, I mean.. It brightens up the face. :)

Lets get into the technical stuff.

My Take on the Lipstick:

This lipstick has creamy texture and not so buttery. It is a bit drying on my dry lips. It doesn’t settle in fine lines. It is highly pigmented and imparts the perfect color in just a swipe. This is not transfer friendly. It stains the coffee cups :( The pigmentation is so nice that it takes  a makeup remover to completely take away the colour from the lips.

How many of you like to use the lipstick as a liptint? I do it :P check the swatch when I tried to wipe away with a dry tissue. It left a tint. Staying power of this is normal. It stays on for good 4 hours survives meals (remember the tint part)

The package comes in a sturdy bullet with a crown engraved on top of it. I somehow liked it. Gives me a royal lipstick :D

 

Why I like this Lipstick?:

• Easily available (online)
• Affordable.
• Good staying power.
• Travel friendly.
• Many shades to choose from

 

Why I don’t like this Lipstick?:

• They were priced at Rs.215 now they are at Rs.250. I pray that this price stays on forever.
• May be the tint. Not many like it. But I do.

 

Final Verdict:

This is a bold red which can catch the attention. If you on look for  a perfect red, do get it. Else, just get it to see how a red lipstick looks on you :D
