Homemade Face Packs for Patchy Complexion : Recipes, Usage and Photos

Posted on May 6, 2015 by Debasmita Rakshit

Hello everyone!

Hope everyone is doing great. So here I am back with another DIY post. This post is about homemade face packs to treat uneven or patchy skin tone. All woman desires for long lustrous hair and flawless radiant complexion. But often we notice few patches on our skin or sun spots, skin redness etc. Our skin tone becomes patchy or uneven. Skin darkening is very embarrassing.

We do not feel beautiful. And it makes us look unhealthy and tired. It also gets difficult to apply make up on our skin if the complexion is uneven. Various factors like busy lifestyle, pollution, unhealthy habits, ageing, hormonal changes, long exposure to sun and stress lead to skin darkening. While extreme cases need to be taken care by medication and cosmetic treatment, moderate skin darkening can be cured by few home remedies.

Here I am going to share four homemade face packs that will help you to get back your even skin tone.

Raw Milk and Baking Soda Face Pack

Ingredients : Raw milk, gram flour, baking soda

Take 3 tbsp of gram flour in a small bowl and add 1 tsp of baking soda in it. Now mix these two by adding enough milk and make it a paste. Apply on your face and wait till it becomes dry. Rinse off with cold water. This face pack is best suitable for normal and oily skin. Use three times a week for best results.

Benefits : This face pack is very effective in dealing with sun tanned skin, skin pigmentation and brown patches. It contains gram flour which scrubs off the dead skin cells and make skin smoother and firmer. The lactic acid present in milk helps to enhance skin complexion and make skin radiant.

Benefits : This face pack is rich in skin whitening enzymes and nutrients. Regular use leads to clear, radiant complexion. Tomato and Honey Face Pack

Take out the juice from a tomato and put it in a small bowl. Add 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon juice and 2 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of gram flour. Combine well and apply the paste on your face. Allow it to stay for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water. This face pack works great on normal and oily skin. Use this 2-3 times per week for best results.

When we first come to notice our patchy or uneven skin tone, we immediately start spending heavily on different cosmetics because, uneven skin tone makes us look unattractive. In pursuit to get back our radiant and even complexion, we empty our pockets in buying skin whitening creams, other cosmetics and visiting parlors for various skin treatments. Often these products contain bleach, which, in the long run, does more harm to our skin than any good.

These above mentioned face packs are very easy to make and trust me, they actually work. I personally had faced this skin darkening issue couple of years ago and I had tried the Neem Tulsi face pack for like 2 months and it worked wonders for my skin.

My patchiness had gone and my skin became fairer and smoother. So girls, if you ever face the issue of skin darkening, go for these packs and you will surely be benefitted.
