My Take on the Nail Polish:
The nail polish comes in a super posh rectangular bottle with a silver cap. It is a very refreshing change from the usual nail polish bottles. However I find the brush a bit tricky to use, the cap is too big and the shape doesn’t make it any easier to hold. Painting the nails on my right hand is especially really tough!
Coming to the colour, the shade is a yellow toned green with a silver sheen. Granted that the shade may not suit everyone, but it is very, very gorgeous, don’t you think?! The silver sheen is very evident in the bottle but it doesn’t translate onto the nails. It just adds a 3-D effect, doesn’t really show up as silver by itself as you can see in the pictures.
The coverage is slightly sheer even after 3 coats, which is a bit disappointing. It is almost 100% opaque after 4 coats, but you can still see some traces of the nail line from some angles. The application of the nail polish is slightly streaky, but it ends up drying without any noticeable harsh lines. But it may look a bit patchy if not applied with a steady hand.
The first and second coats of the nail polish do dry in less than a minute, so thumbs up there Lakmé! Subsequent coats may take longer to dry but that’s forgiven as far as I am concerned. The nail paint stays without chipping for a good 5 days at least, and even stays lustrous which is another bonus.
Why I like this Nail Color?:
- Beautiful shade, silver sheen
- Classy packaging
- Dries quickly
- Colour stays true
- Maintains a glossy finish even after 3-4 days
- Does not chip for 4-5 days
Why I don’t like this Nail Color?:
- Brush is a bit tough to maneuver
MABH Rating: 4.75/5
As you will see in my future reviews, I don’t really like the formula of all the nail polishes in this range, but this particular shade has given me nothing to complain about. I love the colour, I love the staying power and I love the finish. I definitely recommend this nail polish 🙂
