Let me give you a bit introduction about myself. I am a dry skinned girl. And being a dry skinned girl it has actually lot many merits than demerits. You will not have oily facial skin and thus minimal chances of acne or pimples. Now, acne or pimples are some of the major concerns of a girl. So, that way I am blessed.

But dry skin has its own share of woes. It gets tired and dull. Lack of freshness or lustre reflects on the face. And adding to this, the biggest woe of dry skin is moisturization. It is most of the times devoid of moisture especially in winters. So, start applying lotions right before the winter commences.

I have tried a number of lotions. I trust Vaseline in terms of lotions. Vaseline comes up with different variants of lotions. And I have mostly used all of them. So, here is the review of latest product by Vaseline – Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Body Lotion. Read on to know if it’s worth a try or not.

My Views

Vaseline has maintained consistency in terms of packaging. They are quite similar tubes which come in different colors for different variants. So, this intensive repair ones comes in white colour. It comes with the usual flip flop opening which is quite convenient to carry and use. The packaging has entire product claims and details on it which makes it very informative for the customers. It comes in a number of size variants – 100 ml, 300 ml. 600 ml. 50 ml and likewise. So, you can choose any size option as per your choice and requirements.

Now, coming to the texture of the lotion it is a rich creamy texture. The rich body lotion is effective in treating the chapped skin and thus takes care of moisturization woes. This body lotion is one of the most moisturizing than the previous ones. It will treat your dry skin like anything. So, in case of extremely harsh dry winters don’t forget to use this one. Also, the body lotion lasts quite long. Be sure that it will keep your skin moisturized for longer hours even throughout the day. And the moisturization part is pretty amazing. It gets absorbed in skin like anything without making you feel heavy or uncomfortable.

There are a number of body lotions even in case of Vaseline which once you have applied you have to sit for some minutes under AC so that it gets soaked up; but there’s nothing like that with this body lotion. Your skin can easily breathe under this one. Also, it is water and sweat resistant both. So, no issues of the body lotion running down if you dip your hands in water. It survives the entire day without feeling heavy or uncomfortable on skin.

This lotion from the house of Vaseline does not have any bothersome smell. So, sensitive noses need not worry that much. Also, you require a pea size amount per usage. So, I think if you buy a 600 ml bottle and with even daily usage the bottle will easily survive for months. For me, it survived 2.5 months the hardest harsh winter months.

From my side this newbie from Vaseline gets a big thumbs up!

How is everyone? I am new here and I am very excited to begin my wonderful journey. First of all I would like to thank Lancy. Thank you so much dear for giving me this opportunity!! Okay so this is my first review here; on a Vaseline body lotion. I do use it everyday, especially in winters. It really keeps my skin hydrated. It is a good product from Vaseline and I really like it! So ladies, here is my review.

Vaseline Lip Care Rosy Glow Strawberry Frost Review

All I knew of Vaseline in lip care was their petroleum jelly until I saw this pretty pinkish red tube on their counter. I always trusted Vaseline; I was new to lip glosses so I picked it up.  Believe me now I have so many lippies but the first ever was lip gloss only. Guess we have few who always got their hand first on glosses and then go for lippies ;)

How to Use?:

Apply it on top of your lipstick or bare lips for a soft pink tint

My Take on Vaseline Lip Care Rosy Glow Strawberry Frost:

Packaging: It comes in a plastic transparent tube, with a transparent screw cap with a slanted tip as usual. The strawberry frost is the only variety available in this one. Also you can’t find that name anywhere on the tube but only on the outer cover. Totally beats me.

Colour: It is a beautiful strawberry red but more pinker. It has golden shimmer in it. Seriously why golden shimmers? The tint is really good but very subtle. I won’t advice using this without at least a swipe of your lippy.

Texture: The texture is extremely glossy but it is the first ever lip gloss which didn’t feel sticky to me. So Yay! But the gloss always gets separated from the color so it has to be shaken before use.. feels like tonic doesn’t it?

Staying Power: The lip gloss disappears immediately as you eat something so but if not it stays for 5 hours if you are not talkative. I used it to travel to Bangalore one and it stayed for 6 hours. And the moisturisation stayed for 8 hours that is if you are not using your mouth in any way. It was a night journey so otherwise it only stays for 4 hours maximum.

Fragrance: This is the good part. Strawberries all the way. Yummy!


On My lips:

I have worn this without anything. See it barely gives tint. My bottom lip colour is better. God I got pigmented so badly guys on my top lip which is increasing day by day even if I moisturise them and scrub regularly. Any suggestions?

Why I like this Lip Balm?:

  • Excellent pinky red colour
  • Non sticky to me at least
  • Easy on pocket
  • Non pigmented lips (Like mine a year back.. crying) will love this
  • Smell is so yummy
  • Easily available
  • Good moisturisation if your mouth is not busy (wink)

Why I don’t like this Lip Balm?:

  • Pigmentation is not so good
  • Highlights pigmented lips see how mine look here.. Crying again
  • The name is not given on the tube so a bit confusing
  • Disappears as you eat something
  • Only one shade is available so why have the pain to give it so many names?

Do I Recommend?:

Ya may be for starters in lip department who are looking for slight tints to check with their colours. It can be worn on top of a lip stick. No sticky lip gloss lovers and not for talkative ladies. Sorry girls I love you but Vaseline doesn’t seem to (wink)!

Would I Repurchase?:

I don’t know. This is going to take time for me to finish. I am more a matte lip lover! See how much is left still?

Vaseline Healthy White Lightening Visible Fairness Lotion Review

Hello ladies! So I have an HG eye liner, an HG lip balm, kajal and mascara, but somehow, I have never found a moisturizer that I thought was irreplaceable. So I keep juggling between random Nivea, Avon and Vaseline moisturizers. I picked up yet another new one the other day and it is the Vaseline Healthy White Lightening Visible Fairness Lotion so that’s what I’ll be reviewing today. :)

My Take on Vaseline Healthy White Lightening Visible Fairness Lotion:

The lotion comes in a typical flat bottle packaging that most Vaseline moisturizers come in. It is a plastic bottle with a flip open cap. I don’t like the fact that the product accumulates at the mouth of the bottle, it is really messy.

It has a very light weight texture and feels quite smooth on the skin; it also blends in seamlessly and with minimal effort. The lotion has a pink tint to it and a pleasant fragrance (again characteristic of Vaseline lotions).

Now, the instant fairness claim is pretty tall and honestly I didn’t expect it to be true. So why did I buy this lotion? I don’t know if any of you girls have noticed (or maybe it’s just me who has this problem), but after applying moisturizer, my skin always looks darker. I don’t know whether it’s because my skin is hydrated and hence a bit greasy, but it definitely looks a shade darker. So that’s why the ‘instant fairness’ claim appealed to me. And in that aspect, this lotion doesn’t disappoint. My skin looks moisturized yet not darker. I think it may be because of the pink tint of the lotion.

Why I like this Body Lotion?:

  • Light texture
  • Blends very easily into the skin
  • Lightens skin very slightly on application (probably because it is tinted)
  • Reasonable price
  • Moisturizes skin, especially good for the summer months when a light moisturizer is required
  • Pleasant fragrance

Why I don’t like this Body Lotion?:

  • Does not lighten skin
  • Says it has ‘triple sunscreens’ but doesn’t mention exact sun protection
  • Will not be moisturizing enough for very dry skin or in winters
  • Product tends to accumulate at the mouth of the bottle

Final word:

If you’re looking for a product that gives you instant fairness, this is NOT it. The instant fairness claim is true only to a tiny extent because of the tint in the moisturizer, but it disappears very quickly. That said, this lotion still has many positives and it can serve as a pocket-friendly everyday moisturizer if that is what you are looking for.


Will I repurchase?: 

Yes I may, unless I find something better. However I am yet to discover my HG moisturizer! :/

Vaseline Total Moisture Aloe Fresh Body Lotion Review

How are you all doing? The weather is getting pleasant again and I totally love it. It’s a good change from the usually scorching sun :) Rain or shine, our body needs constant pampering. Of all parts, skin is exposed the most. Moisturizing is a mandatory step in skin care no matter what. I have been using this body lotion for quite a while and I thought it was the right time to review it.

My Take:

The lotion comes in a solid green plastic bottle. The flip type cap is easy to use. Though it is not a pump style dispenser, too much product does not come out of it which is great.

Aloe vera is what drew me to this product and its presence is evident from the fragrance. It is so refreshing and smells good. The fragrance stays on for an hour or two at the maximum. The lotion is white in color; the consistency is so light and spreads over the skin like dream. The product is water based and this makes absorption effortless. The skin is soft and supple after applying and I can feel my skin has had its dose of moisture for the day.

Since my skin is not very dry, this moisturizer is the perfect bet for me. It is also a good buy during the summers because of aloe vera. Dry skinned people will not be satisfied with this lotion; they will be better off with something else particularly meant for their skin type. If it had sun protection, it would have been really great. But since it is a moisturizer that does a decent job, let’s look past it.

  • Good moisturizing effect
  • Fresh fragrance
  • Light and non sticky
  • Paraben-free
  • Very affordable price

Why I don’t like?:

  • Not suitable for very dry skin. There is nothing else I could find wrong with this.

We all know Vaseline from our childhood days. It’s one of the most trusted brands, right from their petroleum gel to this lotion. I remember using the gel for my wounds. Coming to this lotion, it’s my HG lotion. I have been using ever since they introduced this product and I didn’t even wanted to try another till now. Why? Scroll down.

Claims of the Body Lotion:

Vaseline Cocoa Glow 24hr Nourishing Lotion with cocoa & vitamin E melts into skin to smooth away roughness and the appearance of uneven areas, igniting skin’s natural glow at the source. Rich cocoa glow – helps to even skin texture and conditioning moisturizers leave skin smooth and supple.

How to Use?:

Use liberally all over your body for intense moisture and smooth skin.

My Take on Vaseline Cocoa Glow Nourishing Body Lotion:

The colour is light creamy rose, extremely creamy in texture. Absorbs readily and not at all greasy. I have used this day and night, summer and winter and not once I got a complaint about this product till now. Smells much like cocoa, making me want to eat myself, that’s a problem (wink).

It comes in a brown plastic bottle with a flip top cap. Be careful with the cap it breaks it flipped harshly at the connection (only once). It is extremely travel friendly since it comes in small variants as well.

A walnut sized amount comes for both legs, same for hands as well. 100 ml lasted me for 2 months with one time application on hands and legs. I even used it outside and my hands stayed tan less. Surprise! I don’t know how but it did.

I read somewhere that this worked on stretch and scar marks. I had stretch marks over my thighs due to weight fluctuations I had in between my school to college phase. That was around 5 years ago. So you can imagine how stubborn they are. But this lotion upon daily usage for day and night on problematic parts started showing results in a month. My scars are almost gone. My stretch marks became less and less bumpy and skin got even toned.

People with extreme oily skin might find it too moisturizing but I think for hands and legs, it won’t be a prob.
its a must in winters. One time application in summers game me 24 hour moisture! Everything it said it did!

Why I like this Body Lotion?:

  • Excellent smell. Not greasy at all
  • Long lasting moisture. Absorbs like a dream
  • Made my skin even toned and glowing.
  • My scars are fading!!
  • My stretch marks are smoother and now skin is even in colour
  • Need I say more?

Why I didn’t like this Body Lotion?: 

  • Parabens may be a con for few but not me; contains only one though
