Scrubbing off the dead cells from the feet is very essential, and not everyone has time to pay regular visit at the parlour for pedicures. For this problem, scrub soaps are useful solution. So, today I am going to review Vaadi Herbals Elbow Knee Foot Scrub Soap that I bought more than a year ago. Here are the details.

My Take on Vaadi Herbals Elbow Foot Knee Scrub Soap:

This soap is a quite large soap in grey color with millions of black granules. The smell of the soap is pretty nice, soothing. I found this scrub soap in an online shopping site one day and I thought of giving it a go. To be honest, I do not regret my thought now.

This is my second bar and I love using it. The soap is brilliant for scrubbing off the dead cells. I personally do not like using body scrub in my feet; somehow, body scrubs do not work for me. So, scrub in soap for is the best for me, it is easier to use; only rubbing the soap for few minutes does the job. This soap does not lather much and also, the grey part of the soap is very creamy. But, the granules are way too harsh; once I thought of using it on my hands, it almost tore my skin! Then I realized, this soap is only for rough areas (silly me!).

One more unpleasant fact is it dries out the skin badly. Sometimes, I forget to apply body lotion, but after using this soap, my skin does not let me forget that. It clears dead cells in few minutes, smoothes the skin; it also cleared the bumps on my elbows. Though, I cannot much comment on lightening the skin tone with this soap. But, overall, this is very useful scrub soap for rough areas on the body. This soap is exactly like pumice stone only it lathers.

Why I like this Soap?:

  • Herbal Soap. 
  • Very economical. 
  • Scrubs off the dead cells very well. 
  • Smells nice. 
  • Does not lather much. 
  • One bar goes a long life. 
  • Easy to use and wash off. 
  • Smoothes the skin.

Why I don’t like this Soap?: 

  • Dries out the skin. 
  • The granules are very harsh on normal skin.

Hello pretty women! Gone are the days when ladies used soaps on their faces (the thought even scares me now). And when I saw a soap named as fairness bar made me think, ‘fairness for body?’  Anyhow, I had to try this soap and today I am going to share my experience of using this Fairness Bar Soap with you all.

My Take on Avon Naturals Fairness Bar Soap:

Avon Naturals Fairness Bar Soap is baby pink in color and quite large in quantity. The smell is very soapy, if you know what I mean; yet nice.

It lathers pretty well. Also, it is easy to wash off; it does not leave any slippery feel. It cleans skin very nicely. The nice flowery smell stays for a while. It has been a long time since I have used any normal soap, and I still remember some of the soaps that leave a white cast on the body for some reason. Well, luckily I did not experience anything like that with this soap. Also, it gives me some kind of satisfaction when I did not find SLS in the ingredients list.

It makes my skin squeaky clean and also never dries out. This is what really surprised me that after using this soap, I did not feel the urge to use body lotion (saved my time!). My semi-dry skin on the body was perfectly balanced in moisture after using this soap. But, as per its name, I did not notice any fairness affect (not that I expected!).

Overall, I liked this soap, it is worth using. It did not do any bad to my skin, moreover, it kept my skin soft and moisture for longest time.

The Good Points:

Today, I am here to review Fiama Di Wills Exotic Dream Gel Bar with Blackberry & Blackcurrant. So, here are the details of the product.

My Take on Fiama Di Wills Gel Bar Exotic Dream:

I am fond of using soaps and shower gels or body washes almost every time I take bath. I know, some people tell me that it is not good for skin, but if I don’t use soap or shower gel, I don’t even feel that I took bath, how weird am I? Anyways, coming back to the product, I have used soaps from the same brand before and I liked it. So, Fiama Di Wills Gel Bar Exotic Dream (Blackberry & Blackcurrant) is a quite big bar and of my favorite color, purple. It comes in a big cartoon box and sealed in a foil-type sachet.

It smells heavenly, but the fragrance does not linger for even some time after the bath (I wish it could!). It lathers very well like every other soap. It is easy to rinse off, no slippery effect afterwards (thank goodness!). But my semi dry body skin feels quite dry after using this gel bar.

So, I don’t think this gel bar accomplishes what it claims, such as, shower gel experience in a bar, rich in moisture. The only good thing about this gel bar is its beautiful smell. Maybe, I was expecting a little bit more from this gel bar but overall, it is a good soap (I mean Gel Bar) for daily use if you (dry skin ladies) are planning to use body lotion afterwards.

And, sorry about the pictures where it looks like I have scratched the bar, well, I did not do anything like that; though it is my fault because I forcibly wanted to put the bar inside of its sachet after using (don’t really have an answer why :P).

Pros of Fiama Di Wills Gel Bar Exotic Dream:

  • Cleans skin.
  • Lathers well.
  • Smells heavenly.
  • Quite large quantity.
  • Affordable price.
  • Prevents body odor.

Yardley London Jasmine Luxury Soap Review

Hello Beauties!

Today we will focus on a product by Yardley London! It is the jasmine Luxury Soap. When I saw this super affordable soap from, I could not stop myself from buying it!

Price and Quantity: 

Rs. 45 for 100 g

 

My Take:

This soap comes in an attractive cardboard box with all details printed on it. The soap is wrapped up in another waxy paper-wrap placed inside the box.

This soap is milky white in color. This soap smells like fresh jasmine flowers- extremely natural! I am sure; people who love the fragrance of Jasmine flowers will love this soap. However, the fragrance does not linger onto the skin, which is a con. As soon as you step out of the washroom, the fragrance disappears. It glides on easily onto the body and lathers nicely. It removes all dirt and oil from the body making it smooth and soft. It dries out the skin a bit which may be a problem for those with dry skin. It will be best suited for those with oily skin.

The soap does not melt like crazy at all. In fact, if used properly, it will last for like 20+ days too! It lathers really nicely and cleans the body really well without leaving any slippery or gooey feel. It makes the skin squeaky clean and gets washed away pretty easily! :)

Overall, the soap does its job nicely. One advice- If you do not like Jasmine flowers, then stay away from this! Thus, a good body butter or body cream is necessary.

 

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Attractive Packaging
  • Cleans the skin nicely
  • Makes the skin smooth and soft
  • Fragrance is really fresh and seems natural
  • Lathers nicely
  • Shelf life is good
  • Does not melt like crazy

CONS:

  • Fragrance does not linger on
  • Dries out the skin a bit (This problem can be solved by using a good body cream/butter)

Final Verdict: 

If you like the fragrance of fresh jasmine Flowers, then this is a must buy for you! I completely recommend it to all Jasmine lovers. I personally will not repurchase this, as I do not like the fragrance of Jasmine flowers…There are a lot of better soaps out in the market.

Khadi Gulab Chandan Handmade Soap Review

Hey Girls!

How many of you take shower twice a day or even more than that? Well, I am one of those silly girls who can take shower for any no. of times in a day lol. During the harsh summers, here in Hyderabad, I started taking showers twice a day and that is when I thought of trying the new range of herbal soaps because I didn’t want my skin to get dried up.

Coming to the point, I have been a great fan of the Khadi herbals. This is because they are organic, cruelty free and affordable. Today, I am going to do a quick review on their Gulab Chandan Soap.


Price and Quantity: 

125 gm for 55 INR

My Experience:

This handmade soap is a transparent rectangular bar covered in a thin plastic sheet. Firstly, I’m not fond of Gulab (Rose) flavor or smell I bought it just because it has Chandan (Sandalwood) and for its toning effect claims. I must say it didn’t disappoint me.

When I cut opened the plastic seal, the strong rose smell hit my nose and I almost fainted lol. I don’t like the smell. But once I kept open in the soap dish the smell gradually decreased making it ready to use. When you use it, the rose smell (this time with a hint of chandan) again covers up the nose :/

But once you wash it off, it goes off (for which I love it ) It tones up the skin well without making it dry.
When I use it with loofah, it gives me immense lather which I again love :D I used it in the evening shower and I didn’t have to use a moisturizer in the night (at least when I know I’m going to sleep and do nothing else). As a bar, it is just nice. It works best of oily skin.

 

PROS:

  • Works up super lather and doesn’t make the skin dry
  • Transparent package which shows what exactly we are going to use.
  • Ingredient list is mentioned.
  • Suits almost all the skin types and works best on oily skin.
  • Organic
  • Against animal testing
  • Affordable
  • Easily available

CONS:

  • I can’t think of any.


Final Words:

Well, this is not a must have product but people who love to experiment and who love the rose petal smell can give it a try.

Khadi Mix Fruit Handmade Herbal Soap Review

I am a shower gel person. I hardly use soaps. But for the summer I decided to take a break from shower gels and try out a glycerin based soap. I’ve been using Khadi Fruit Soap throughout the summer and here is my take on the product.

2 years from the date of manufacture

My Experience:

The packaging is very simple. The soap is wrapped in a transparent plastic sheet. No cardboard packaging. It has labels on both the sides with the details of the soap. I’m not going to complain about the packaging as it is manufactured in a small scale industry. What matters is the actual product and compared to other drug store brands, this one is way better.

This soap has a strong fragrance which is not fruity at all to my senses. It smells strongly of coconut oil (at least for me). The ingredient list doesn’t mention any fruits. So this is quite confusing! Anyway! I can bear the smell. It’s okay for me but for sensitive noses it might be unbearable. The fragrance doesn’t linger on after bath though.

The soap has a smooth texture and lathers up really well with a loofah. You can get clean feeling only upon using a loofah. The soap gets rinsed off easily and doesn’t leave behind any slippery feel. I haven’t used this soap on my face. So I’m not sure about how it works on facial skin. For my face I prefer to use my daily cleanser.

This is a very refreshing soap. I can feel my skin squeaky clean. This is what I need for summers. It did not dry up my skin. I don’t feel the need to apply a body lotion after bath. This soap may be drying during winter though. This is perfect for summer use.

Initially I used to find it difficult to grip the soap due to its large size but with regular use the edges soften and the size reduces which becomes easy to use. This soap won’t last for more than a month. This is not a con for me as this proves that the soap is chemical free.

I like the fact that it is herbal and free from chemicals. I’ve already finished one bar and using the second one. The soap looks like a piece of fruit cake to me! Cute!

Continuous usage for over a month now, has made my skin really soft. Kudos to that!

Coming to the pricing, I feel it is economically priced since the quantity is more and it is a herbal product which will not affect your skin in any way.
