Revayur Aroma Plus Day and Night Moisturizer Review

Hello everyone,

Summer, autumn, winter or spring; Dry, normal, combination or oily; Young or old; Big or small. We all need moisturizers. Don’t we? Also in summers? Apparently yes! I run away from all kinds of creams and lotions in summers even sunscreens but of late having learnt the benefits of religiously moisturizing the skin in all climates I had to do some research to find one that suited me in Chennai’s summers. I found one in RevAyur Aroma Plus Day & Night Moisturizer which I am reviewing here.

Claims of this Moisturizer:

The following are the claims that the company makes about this product:

  • Aloe and lotus extract moisturize dehydrated skin.
  • Leaves skin feeling nourished and revitalized.
  • Protects, soothes and calms skin.
  • Light enough for daily use.
  • Formulated for al skin types.

Price & Quantity: 

Rs 75 for 75 g

Key Ingredients: 

Aloe juise, lotus flower extract, base, GMS, light liquid paraffin, stearic acid, cetyl alcohol, IPM, silicon oil, dimethicone, caprylic triglyceride, BHT, glycerin, triethanolamine, fragrance, color, methyl paraben, propyl paraben.

Usage Directions: 

Apply gently on clean skin daily.

Shelf Life: 

24 months from month of manufacture

My Experience with Revayur Aroma Plus Day and Night Moisturizer:

The moisturizer comes in a plastic tube with a flip cap. It looks pretty sturdy for travel as well. It is not too messy either.

It comes in a light pink color and has a typical lotion like consistency and smell to it. The smell does stay on for quite a while post application. Sensitive noses wont have too much of an issue with it though. It is light and absorbs well into the skin within a few mins of application. The texture too is typical of any lotion.

This was my first product from this brand and I was pretty open minded about it. I liked the fact that it said day & night moisturizer and that sold me this product right away. I had been using my Vaseline cocoa glow lotion during the winter months last year and I found it pretty heavy for the summers here. So, that is when my hunt for a light weight yet good moisturizer began. And, it ended with this.

I am very happy with the way this lotion has been working for me. I have pretty dry skin all over. It gives good but light moisturisation; Perfect for the siummers. It gets easily absorbed into the skin though leaving it a little oily for a few secs and then it perfectly blends into the skin. It is perfect for both day and night time usage though I restrict it to only bed time routine. I cannot handle any thing but a sunscreen during the day here in Chennai. However, my first tube was more cream like and this one is more lotion like. I wonder why??

CONS of Revayur Day and Night Moisturizer:

  • Availabilty
  • Difference in textures in my two purchases
  • Oily skin might have issues
  • Contains parabens
  • No SPF :(

Do I Recommend this Moisturizer?: 

YES! I would as it is seems kike a decent and affordable product for the summers for almost all skin types. It works really well for the bed time routine.

RevAyur Foot Cream Review

After reviewing my first product, RevAyur orange lotion on MABH,  I am back with another review on the product from the same family – RevAyur lavender foot cream. This product too belongs to the RevAyur Range. After using RevAyur orange lotion, I felt it would be good to use a foot cream from the same range.

    Our feet work hard all day long, so we all need a pampering foot cream to treat your feet. I believe better foot care may prevent many foot problems. I am in love with foot creams and I love to experiment with new products.
         My latest collection to my foot creams is the RevAyur Foot Cream. A really nice rich creamy thick lavender foot cream I tried the other day and ended up really liking and getting was the RevAyur Foot Cream. As its monsoon time my feet problems started so I thought of giving RevAyur foot cream a try.

What the product claims:
Indications:

  • Keeps your feet deodorized and hydrated.
  • Helps relieve dry, chapped heels.
  • Fresh, pleasant lavender aroma refreshes and relaxes.
  • Gentle enough for daily use.

Directions For Use:
Apply generously with gentle massage on feet.

Price and quantity: Rs.99 for 75 gm

Ingredients:
Aloes, Lavender oil,tea tree oil,sea algae extracts,cream base,Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, GMS, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Triethanolamine, Span 60, Petroleum Jelly,Preservatives,purified water,mineral oil.


My Experience with this Product:


I would say that it was a good choice.
The cream comes in a transparent tube with a lavender-colored flip cap which is sturdy. The little tube can be easily carried as it is travel friendly.

This cream is of light lavender color and of the same fragrance. It looks like clay. It is of thick consistency and is light and non-greasy. You just need a small amount and you can massage your foot with this cream after a pedicure if you wish for it to penetrate into the skin. It makes my feet velvety with regular usage.

Pros of Revayur Foot Cream:

  •     Easily available everywhere
  •     Presence of lavender
  •     Great fragrance
  •     Keeps my feet soft for hours
  •     Decent price

Cons of Revayur Foot Cream:
  •     Presence of chemicals
  •     No UV protection

My Rating: 4/5

Would I Repurchase: Yes. Finally, I would say that I am in love with this cream. It does keep your feet protected and well nourished.

Recommendation:
I hope those of you with dry feet can get them healed with this lavender foot cream. I wish you all the best of luck at getting your hands soft and healthy again! I recommend this product and everyone can give it a try!

I love writing and this blog has given me a wonderful opportunity. Now let’s move on to the product review.
Who needs body lotions in monsoons? I need. I’m always on the hunt for a good lotion that will provide extra moisturizing and seal in the benefits. Last weekend, I went to big bazaar to buy jergens body lotion. To my disappointment, big bazaar did not have it. They had the regular ones like Nivea, dove etc. The skin care section is always crowded but to my relief, one of the counters was free. I found a new small brand called Revayur in that counter and the girl there was quite good. She helped me pick up the Revayur Orange Lotion and I thought of giving it a try and rushed to the billing counter. It was by chance that I came across this lotion.

What the product claims:

types in need of brightening-non greasy 24 hours moisturizer with orange oil


Speciality of Revayur Orange Lotion:

  • Enriched with natural vitamin C from oranges
  • The skin will look more velvety, supple and “plumped out”.


Usage Directions:
  • Use it daily on a cleaned skin.
  • Leaves the skin feeling fresh and hydrated.

My take on the product:

Every winter I seem to struggle through the months trying to find items that will keep my body
moisturized and it seems like this was a difficult task. Fortunately RevAyur Orange Body lotion came to my rescue when I found it.

              I thought RevAyur is an initiative by the brand Ayur. But later I came to know that it has nothing to
do with Ayur. The texture is rich and smooth and you can use this all over or just to give your hands or feet that
extra attention. By seeing the packaging and name I thought the product may contain natural ingredients but the
ingredient list is indeed very scary with many chemical names.

Pros:
  • Great for rough elbows and knees
  • The orangey fragrance which is not heady
  • Easy Availability
  • Hygienic Packaging- bottle with the pump i.e., does not spill out.
  • Suits normal & oily skin
  • Non greasy. Easily absorbed by the skin as it is light weighted
  • Small amount goes a long way
  • Deodorizing


Cons:
  • Presence of parabens and chemicals
  • Nothing miraculous or extra-ordinary about it other than moisturizing
  • No long lasting fragrance
  • Price is bit high.
  • Not suitable for winters and dry skin


Final Verdict: Definitely, worth trying! 
My Rating: I would give it 3.5/5

Will I repurchase: It depends. I don’t like to use it as my body lotion but I may use it for hands, feet
and elbows
