Hope all are enjoying with loads of makeup and cosmetics. Today I’m here with a review about a night cream. Night cream is a very essential product in our daily makeup routine. One may not see the difference immediately but it makes our skin healthy and soft with continuous usage. Let’s move to the review now.

Claims of the Night Cream:

My Experience with Olay Total Effects Anti Aging Night Cream:

To start with, this is my 4th tub and that must convey that I love this product and I’m totally happy with it.

I use this every night after my cleansing and toning routine. On some days I apply Olay White Radiance Serum before using the night cream. I dot it on my face and neck and then massage gently in upward direction. The cream takes some time to get absorbed. It gives a moisturizing effect. I have used this in peak summers as well as in winters but haven’t faced any oiliness or dryness. It is just perfect. I wake up with a smooth soft skin in the morning.

Now coming to its claims, it does fulfill few of the points listed above. It evens out the skin texture, gives a smooth skin and imparts radiance but I cannot comment about the fine line and wrinkles part since I don’t have any of these concerns now. But I haven’t seen any drastic reduction in the pores. I have few open pores near the bridge of my nose and they are still visible. (If anyone has a solution for this pleases comment below. I will be very thankful.)

I have used many other night creams in between but I have always come back to this one since my skin loves this product.

It comes in a dark grey colored tub with an inner lid and a screw type lid outside. The lid is very sturdy so we need not worry about the spillage during travel. The tub is very strong so even if it falls down one need not bother. The only problem is that we have to dip-in our fingers to take the product out. I usually sanitize my hands before using this.

This night cream is white in color and very creamy. It feels slightly heavy so each time only less quantity is required to cover our face and neck. I just love its fragrance. It smells a bit strong initially but after application it softens. I like to take a whiff of it now and then.

PROS of Olay Anti Aging Night Cream:

Imparts radiance to the skin

Less is required every time so the tub will last for more than 3 months

CONS of Olay Anti Aging Night Cream:

Doesn’t reduce pore size

My Recommendation:

I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

Lakme Complexion Care CC Cream ~ Photos and Details

Hello Everyone!
So after all the raving BB cream launches in India, Lakme has taken it to the next step. They have come up with their new CC cream! Yes you read it right. i.e Complexion Care Cream. Interesting isn’t it? I have previously made a post on CC creams and their properties; and if you read that you will be knowing that this Lakme CC cream launch is really a good news for me. Not only for me, its a great news for all oily skin typed girls out there (Who always find BB creams heavy and greasy on their skin!)

This Lakme CC cream is priced at Rs.250 for 30 ml. (Quite affordable for the quantity isn’t it?)

So girls.. Are you going to give this BB cream a try?

Johnson’s Baby Lotion Review, Swatches and Photos

My Take on Johnson’s Baby Lotion:

This baby lotion comes in a simple baby pink colored plastic bottle with a sturdy flip type cap. You can also screw open the cap to get the product out. The packaging makes the lotion easy to use, travel friendly and handy.

The lotion is light pink in color (like that of strawberry ice cream) and has a moderately thin consistency. On application, it spreads smoothly onto the skin and gives that nice cooling effect. The fragrance is of course the typical Johnson’s baby one – very mild, pleasant and baby-sh.

Once I apply this lotion to my face, it calms down all the dry patches, roughness and leaves skin smooth and moisturized. As it is light, it might suit many skin types. I have a normal-oily skin and hence I don’t use it as my day cream. If used on oily skin, it leaves skin greasy after 2-3 hours.

But when I used this as my night cream, my skin left extremely smooth and baby soft in the morning. It did not cause any breakout or allergies as it’s a product meant for sensitive skin of babies. Overall, this is a very good buy for the affordable price. Though I don’t use this baby lotion everyday, I want this in my stash to feel like a baby :P I will always get it only for the heavenly fragrance.

Very light, but yet moisturizing
Perfect moisturizer for dry skin types
Normal skin types will love it as a night cream
With regular usage, it keeps skin dryness at bay

CONS of Johnson’s Baby Lotion:

Not suitable for extra dry skin types in winters
If you are not fond of baby product fragrances, then it is not for you.
Contains mineral oil

Do I Recommend?:

I highly recommend this pink baby lotion to everyone who love baby product fragrances. If you are a mommy who is looking out for mild lotions for your baby, then might like it. But make sure your baby is not allergic to the fragrance as I feel Johnson’s baby fragrances are bit overpowering for the babies. If you have normal-dry skin, you will absolutely love it! If you have normal-oily skin type, then try it in winter as your night cream. Extra dry skin types will need reapplication twice-thrice a day.

Would I Repurchase?:

Yes! I will. I don’t think I will be finishing my 50 ml bottle for the next few months. But once it gets over, I will surely repurchase it. I also have the white (milk) variant but I find this pink bottle more pleasing in terms of fragrance compared to that.

Revayur Aroma Plus Day and Night Moisturizer Review

Summer, autumn, winter or spring; Dry, normal, combination or oily; Young or old; Big or small. We all need moisturizers. Don’t we? Also in summers? Apparently yes! I run away from all kinds of creams and lotions in summers even sunscreens but of late having learnt the benefits of religiously moisturizing the skin in all climates I had to do some research to find one that suited me in Chennai’s summers. I found one in RevAyur Aroma Plus Day & Night Moisturizer which I am reviewing here.

My Experience with Revayur Aroma Plus Day and Night Moisturizer:

The moisturizer comes in a plastic tube with a flip cap. It looks pretty sturdy for travel as well. It is not too messy either.

It comes in a light pink color and has a typical lotion like consistency and smell to it. The smell does stay on for quite a while post application. Sensitive noses wont have too much of an issue with it though. It is light and absorbs well into the skin within a few mins of application. The texture too is typical of any lotion.

This was my first product from this brand and I was pretty open minded about it. I liked the fact that it said day & night moisturizer and that sold me this product right away. I had been using my Vaseline cocoa glow lotion during the winter months last year and I found it pretty heavy for the summers here. So, that is when my hunt for a light weight yet good moisturizer began. And, it ended with this.

I am very happy with the way this lotion has been working for me. I have pretty dry skin all over. It gives good but light moisturisation; Perfect for the siummers. It gets easily absorbed into the skin though leaving it a little oily for a few secs and then it perfectly blends into the skin. It is perfect for both day and night time usage though I restrict it to only bed time routine. I cannot handle any thing but a sunscreen during the day here in Chennai. However, my first tube was more cream like and this one is more lotion like. I wonder why??

YES! I would as it is seems kike a decent and affordable product for the summers for almost all skin types. It works really well for the bed time routine.

Khadi Jasmine Massage Oil Review

How are you? Hope you are doing fine. Today I will review a product from Khadi. Last winter I found this productl on the leading online store and bought it.

Price and quantity:

Rs. 120 for 210 ml.

My Take:

Well, after reading the product description on the online store, I did not realize that it is not only body oil, it is also aromatic. It comes in the typical Khadi bottle, with a flip cap (which is very tight and strong unlike the bottle).

The smell of the oil is very soothing and relaxing itself; it reminds me of Swedish Spa therapy. Though, the smell of jasmine is not over powering.

All the winter I have used it daily after bath. Though on the online store, it was directed to use it either before or after bath (I prefer after). Whenever I used this body oil, for the whole day I did not feel dry skin; my skin is not super dry though. Another good thing about this oil is it does not leave skin too much oily or sticky like some of the body lotions do. It did make my skin supple and soft (like all body oils do). Only few drops will be enough to spread on the desired body part. I have used it for long 3 months and I still have more than 50% left in the bottle.

At night when I cannot sleep, I rub this oil on my palms and smell it. It relaxes my mind a lot. The aroma of the oil is what I like the most about it. Some of the herbal brand has aromatic body oils that smells like tiger balm (my elder sister reported me).

PROS:

Smells aromatic.
Gives perfect moisture to skin.
Staying power is good.
Consistency is perfect, not too heavy.
Does not leave skin too much oily or sticky.
Fair quantity.
Pretty inexpensive.
Khadi is a quite popular herbal brand (though all the khadi products are not good).

CONS:

Actually there is none for the oil. But Khadi could provide some hardy bottles.

Do I Recommend?:

Yes, if you have normal skin, it will work very well (No idea about very dry skin).

Would I purchase?:

Yes, definitely.

Maybelline Clearglow BB Cream Natural Review, Swatches and Photos

I loved the concept of BB Cream/Stick duo to make my skin look more even toned, as I feel that most foundations have a coverage so thick that it’s difficult to use them on myself. So I decided to get both BB stick and cream from Maybelline. After purchase, I started immediately using the BB Stick on the slightly darker parts of my face and the cream all over it. After nearly 5 months of usage, this is what I think about Maybelline BB Cream in shade Natural.
