As we all know Face Pack is a process to nourish your skin, to pamper it with different nutrition. Face Pack also prevents skin problems like acne, scars, freckles, boils etc and it also heals the on-going problems.

People with acne problems are always recommended to use a Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) face pack. People with oily acne prone skin are recommended to use Neem face pack and so on. Today, we will see the rules, benefits and importance of using face pack.

Everybody will think huh! What kind of rule she is talking about? Using face pack is as easy as a piece of cake. But, let me tell you there are certain rules if followed….umm what you can get? You yourself check it out further.

Rules:

1. First and foremost use a face pack which is meant for your skin type and you skin conditions (like acne, pimples, dark spots, white heads, black heads etc.)

2. If you’re buying ready made face packs do not forget to read it – check whether it’s meant for your skin type, skin conditions, the ingredients (if you’re allergic to any ingredient) and the same rule applies to the chemical haters.

3. Use a face pack according to the season and timing. If you use Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti) face pack in winters it’s not going to help you instead it will make your skin dry and itchy because of the dry weather. About timing, people who are easily prone to colds should not use a cooling face pack in evening.

4. If you do not wish to become a Panda. Never leave your eyes alone. If you’re busy cannot lay down with your face pack on use Almond oil and massage your eye area with it. Else use cucumber or potato slices for your eyes.

 

Importance:

1. Face Pack is a need of your skin, if you do not use it you can face pre mature ageing signs very soon; wrinkles, age marks etc as your skin is lacking the required nutrition. Due to this your skin problems will not heal quickly it will look de-hydrated. Overall, a dull looking face.

2. If you’re a mommy, a working woman, a girl with too much home-works, kindly, do not give excuses if you want a healthy skin. Face Pack doesn’t take much of your time. Minimum time is 5 minutes and maximum time is 15 – 20 minutes. So, no excuses!

For A Mommy: You can apply a quick DIY or a ready made pack while doing your other household works or while singing a Lullaby to your baby. But, don’t scare your baby. :P

For A Working Woman: I know, I know. Stress, tension, lack of time. But, still this is the reason I am coming up with this post. You can quickly use a DIY pack or your ready made packs while taking shower else use it after coming home. If you want you can just make a DIY pack keep it in freezer and use it after coming home for a refreshing feeling and take a break from your office politics. :P

I love purchasing and using lip balms. I have recently bought a few lip balms out of which this is the worst. Read on to find why! :P

Price: 

Rs. 99 for 4.5 g

My Experience:

Packaging: It comes in the trademark Himalaya packaging. It has a retractable packaging, which is convenient. Somehow, I find the packaging boring and cheap looking. The bullet is a delicate baby and will break if you apply too much of pressure.

Fragrance: This has the weirdest fragrance I have ever sensed. I mean the fragrance bothers me so much. It stays on and on. I hate…Hate…HATE the fragrance. It is like Grease- Pure grease. Yucks!! I do not even want to write about the fragrance

Texture and Moisturizing power: It may seem a bit dry initially but after a few swipes, you will see that it has a smooth creamy texture but it feels waxy on the lips, which I hate. However, for dry lips, I think this lip balm will help. It has a good staying power of about 2-3 hours and it nicely moisturizes the lips.

PROS:

  • Nicely moisturizes the lips
  • Staying Power of about 2-3 hours
  • Price
  • Travel friendly

CONS:

  • Boring and cheap looking packaging
  • Fragrance (I have never sensed such a fragrance in any other lip balm ever!)
  • Waxy feeling
  • Very fragile bullet
  • Fragrance Lingers on
  • Transfers easily onto cups and all

 

Final Verdict: I do not recommend it at all and I will not repurchase this even if all the lip balms of this world are magically vanished! You will not be able to bear with the greasy fragrance it has. Just go to a shop where grease and all is found, ask them if they have pure grease and then run away from there after taking a sniff at it. Yes, that is what this lip balm smells like.

How to Make Tinted Beeswax Lip Balm at Home?

In all the seasons, especially in hard drying winters, we everyone need a good lip balm to cover and protect our precious, soft lips from dryness. If it is a tinted one, that is even better about it for adding some natural colour to the lips without looking artificial. Not only in winters, summers too give us dry lips.. Don’t you agree? My lips were in a very bad condition due to this hard Chennai summer and that’s how I got a thought to prepare this DIY recipe home.


We fall for several store-bought tinted lip balms claiming to heal lips faster than any other but all left with us are no results, or low results. Some of them might not show up the tint properly or might also irritate your sensitive lips due to their artificial fragrance, colors and preservative contents. Here is a DIY lip balm recipe for you which you can prepare and store at your home in an easy and safest way with Beeswax. All you need for the tint is your favorite lipstick, that hasn’t irritated your lips before, to make your own tinted lip balm in minutes.

Recipe:

When you are not in a mood to go for a thick lipstick, still need that lipstick tint with moisturization, a tinted lip balm made of lipstick helps. It is not that hard to make a own tinted lip balm with your lipstick. The recipe takes just 2-3 minutes.

Things you will need:

  • An old lip balm container
  • 1 teaspoon of Beeswax
  • 2 teaspoons of Peppermint oil
  • Your favorite Lipstick

How to Prepare?

1. Melt the beeswax and peppermint oil together in a double boiler and switch off the stove soon after the mixture turns liquid.

2. Slice a small piece of your favorite lipstick and add to this melted mixture. Blend well with a spatula quickly without any lumps.  The amount of the lipstick varies depending on the pigmentation you need. Whether it is orange, deep plum or a bright pink, the lipstick you use here should have been experienced by you with no irritation or side effects.

3. That’s it. You made your own tinted lip balm.Now store this in your refrigerator and use whenever needed to add that natural, beautiful and subtle tint to your lips!

Tidbits to Remember:

1. Tub may be unhygienic to store when it comes to lip balm. No one likes to dip their finger every time to take the product out. Hence, if you are not comfortable with the tub, fill the lip balm in your old and clean lip balm tube

2. If you have extra dry lips, squeeze a vitamin E capsule and add the oil to this lip balm for nourishment and moisturization.

3. Usage of this lip balm more than 3 weeks is not advisable as it has no preservatives. Better prepare a small amount and finish it off within 3 weeks. You can make another new one easily within minutes for next batch.

Hi sweeties..

I’m back with another review and again with a lip product. I love lip glosses. I personally feel they are something that brings freshness to my face. Today I’m going to review one of my favorite lip gloss Coloressence lip color in Peaches N Cream.

My Take:

I absolutely love this lip gloss. Especially for its color and staying power. Coming to the packaging, it is really good and something cute to look at. It comes in a transparent cylindrical tube with a black cap. The cap has some interesting design at the top. The tube itself looks so cute and adorable. It comes packed in Coloressence’s typical black cardboard box. The applicator is of good quality.

Now coming to the main part, that is the color. Peaches N cream is really a very pretty color. It’s a pretty peachy brown shade. It shows more of brown than peach. However, the color is simply adorable. And yes, it would suit all complexions, from fair- dusky beauties. I have a wheatish complexion, and it doesn’t wash me out. It will look equally pretty on dusky beauties.

And yes, wait for a minute the name Liquid Lip Color doesn’t suit this cutie as it’s a sheer lip gloss. You need multiple swipes of it to show the true color. But I don’t mind since I love the color.

The staying power is really decent, as it stays for about 2.5-3 hrs if used alone and 3-4 hrs if used on a lip liner. It is very very moisturizing. Even without a lip balm it manages to jeep the lips soft. And now the sad part, it is damn STICKY. Yes, it is really sticky that when you wear it with loose hair, you are going to end up with gloss on your hair. But I guess it is sticky because of its moisturizing nature. So it becomes a pain to remove. If I need to wear a lip gloss, then it would be this one irrespective of any occasion. Overall I am in love with this lip gloss that I almost finished it :P

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Easily available
  • Cute packaging
  • Decent staying power 3-4 hrs
  • Color will suit all complexions
  • Good quantity
  • Available in small size also
  • Superb moisturizing effect
  • Pretty everyday wear shade

CONS:

  • Not well pigmented
  • Very sticky
  • Leaves a residue that has to be removed

Do I Recommend?: 

Of course, it is a very pretty color, good for everyday wear, will suit all complexions. Decent staying power considering it is a gloss. Effective yet affordable product.You will love it for sure. But please bear the stickiness.
