My 7 Day Banana Diet for Weight Gain & Smooth Skin : Delayed Update + Results!

Posted on May 26, 2016May 27, 2016 by Lanceek

Better late than never! Right?!

So, it has been 9 days so many days since I started my ‘banana diet‘ and here I’m sharing my results with you!

First up, dad said that my face looked noticeably fresher! He always used to complain how my face looked dull because I never sleep on time. He had been saying this for a long time and suddenly, he says otherwise! After I started the banana challenge, people around me actually notice the change and this gives me so much of hope!

One Week of Banana Diet!

Honestly, the first five days were okay! I did not eat TOO many bananas as I expected to eat. But I managed to eat up to five each day. (I sometimes managed to eat 5 at one go! and they weren’t even the smaller ones! Good thing!)

On the 6th and 7th day, I messed up my routine due to my bad sleeping pattern. I was really sleeping good with this appetite boosting tonic I was talking about (on Just Like That Vol.4) but due to some stressful episodes, days 6 and 7 were a bummer! Overall, the week wasn’t that good emotionally so I paid less to no attention to my diet.

Nevertheless, I still have results to share with you! I feel a lot more better now. I didn’t weigh myself yet but my face of course looks a bit better! (my cheekbones are not tad prominent now). My eyes often look dull but again, that’s due to my sleep; they look a lot better now after sleeping for 12+ hours!

The banana diet has also made my skin somewhat softer (mind you I’ve not been using any lotion!) and MY LIPS! They’re more softer now. No dead skin. They look pinker. I’m not sure if it were the bananas but I’m happy with the outcome! Somebody also asked what I’ve been doing for my skin lately. A combination of banana diet and my DIY lacto de-tan recipe did the magic, it seems. (I highly recommend you to try the de-tanning recipe! Great for summers!)

So that’s all I’ve for today! I’ve decided to continue the banana diet for some more time. I’m definitely hoping to see changes in my weight! The only problem is finding the sweetest-best tasting bananas. The sour one of course goes to Roo’s plate! (He doesn’t mind because he just.. loves banana!)

P.S: Do you eat bananas everyday? Share your comments below! Let’s discuss more.

If this is what one week of banana diet can do it one’s skin, I’m definitely going to buy dozens this week :)
The only drawback I find with banana diets is that storing bananas is a Herculean task given how quickly they blacken in these scorching summers.
As a suggestion, if you want to get radiant skin, Lancy (which you told in your previous post of this thread), add soaked almonds and a few mango chunks to this banana diet.
Your stomach will feel full and these food items will work to get you better skin. If you’re brave, they chew 5 Neem leaves every morning. I know you’ll curse me for its bitter taste but the skin will be clearer noticeably within a month. No pimples :)

That’s great Lancy :) Well, Nupur I shall advise you to store bananas in your refrigerator, in this way the inner portion of bananas remains white and good : And Lancy, keep it up this healthy regime and if possible include peanut butter also!

    Hi Lancy,
The results are visible from the photos. The banana diet seems to be a perfect diet for you as you love them a lot. I managed to gain 1.5 kg in the week and I am sure you must have gained more than that ?. Now that Ramadan begins, I have to cross check my diet.
