DIY Almond Face Mask – Removes Deep Tan, Blemishes and Firms Skin

There are few face masks that I swear by and I use it often, probably not on a regular basis but I know that it will for sure help me in certain situations. One such face mask is this almond, honey and milk face mask. I started experimenting with almonds on skin as I do not like to eat nuts much.

I think it was during one of the Diwali times, that I received a hell lot of almonds as gift and I did not know what to do with it. So I tried to incorporate them in my regular face packs. So at the end of many permutations and combinations with a lot of face packs, I ended up with this one, which is my favorite face mask of all times. 3 ingredients and hell lot of benefits giving amazing results on the skin. You need to use it to believe it!

Before I give you the method, a word about the benefits of this face mask:

Almond : Almond has a lot of benefits as we all are aware. Skin brightening, anti aging and improving the skin textures are just some of the results that can be expected with a regular use of almond face pack. Almonds contain essential fatty acids omega- 3 as well as omega- 6. It is also a very good source of vitamins, minerals, proteins, fiber and anti-oxidants.

Milk : Milk is very nourishing for the skin. It cleanses the skin and drives out all the impurities and helps in brightening the skin. The lactic acid present in the milk helps in lightening the skin. Milk can also reduce tan, pigmentation and also eliminates the dead cells from the skin.

Honey : Honey is very beneficial for the skin too. Honey renders moisture to the skin. It cleanses the pore thoroughly when used in combination with the milk. Honey is also known to lighten the skin. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial compounds which helps in decreasing the appearances of scars. It increases the regeneration of the tissues too.

 

Ingredients:

• Almond- 4 to 5
• Milk- 2 tablespoons
• Honey- ½ teaspoon

Method:

Soak the almonds over night in water and powder them. You can either pound it or powder it in the mixer.
Add milk to the almond and then throw in the honey as well. Mix it all well and let it sit for 5 minutes.  Use it on your face, neck, hands and legs as well if you wish. Leave it for 20 minutes and then wash it off.

Use this face mask regularly everyday if you have deep tan, acne marks, blemishes etc. Regular use helps to heal the skin faster. I recommend to use this face mask even otherwise as this will improve the skin texture tremendously and make your skin look youthful!
