Sattvik Organics Saffron Care Mattifying Day Cream : Review, Photos

Posted on March 17, 2015March 29, 2015 by Lanceek

Hello people!

Sattvik organics is an Indian ayurvedic brand that has been receiving great feedback! I’ve been lately trying out the mattifying day cream from their Saffron Care range. The product claims to rehydrate skin, making it soft and supple. The brand also says that the product protects the skin from sunburn, pigmentation and blemishes. Today, I am sharing my views on the product!

Price : Rs.199 for 40 g

My Views:

The day cream comes in a simple plastic tub with a sturdy screw lid. The tub comes packed in a tangerine orange carton. Though the product is normally packed, I loved the color! According to the brand, the product has a zero-oil formula and it contains low-fat moisturizer to maintain the elasticity of the skin! I also spotted Vitamin E on the ingredient list, which is a very nutritious for skin!

The cream has to be massaged in circular motions and left on the skin for the whole day to maintain the softness. I use it after cleansing my face in the morning and it stays on my skin till the evening. It has PA+++ UVA and SPF 30 UVB for sun protection!

The cream mild creamy-orange in color! The consistency is very thick similar to that of a butter. Though being rich, it spreads smoothly over the skin leaving it soft and bright. The finish is not fully matte but semi-matte. Although the feel is not matte, I don’t see any visible greasiness left behind after the application. The fragrance is mild and truly refreshing! Sensitive noses will not find it overpowering.

When the brand says oil free, I don’t get the feel that it completely is! Its rich texture nourishes the skin and leaves it soft without drying it. A thing that usually bothers me about SPF based creams is that the white cast they leave, but surprisingly this one doesn’t leave a white cast/residue behind! I don’t expect my day creams to be super matte but if you do so, apply a thin coat of compact or translucent power over it. Mind you, the cream will suit normal-combination, normal-dry skin types the best! It can also fulfill the needs of dry skin if used properly. I am not sure about its compatibility with very oily skin types nevertheless this is definitely light and nourishing for winters. If you want it to work on your oily skin, using a compact over it is the best idea!

Overall, this mattifying day cream from Sattvik Organics definitely improves the texture of my skin! It protects the skin from harsh sunlight. Due to the hydration, my skin looks bright every time after using it! I recommend this product to everyone who likes a rich moisturizer that gives a semi-matte finish without drying out the skin!

Even though I like matte finish, I have seen that extreme matte finish makes the face dull. I am liking the semi matte finish these days. I might try this. Great review :)

I bought it in winters n used a lot of it then as it made my skin look radiant. But with summers now, it feels heavy on my oily skin.
