Boots Seaweed Shampoo All Hair Types Review

Posted on January 23, 2014November 11, 2021 by Nandhini

Currently I am obsessed with hair care and in that phase where I buy anything and everything I see related to that. So, when I was looking for a shampoo that would not only make my hair soft and manageable, but to rescue my hair from another shampoo that had caused immense hair fall, I stumbled upon a brand that isn’t easily available in India.

Few days back when I stepped into a local departmental store I noticed that they stocked shampoo ranges from Boots. I picked Boots seaweed shampoo without a second thought since I had read only good reviews about the range earlier. I have been using it regularly for 20 days now and here is my review. Did it live up to my expectations? Read on to know more.

Boots Seaweed Shampoo

Price and Quantity:

My Take on Boots Seaweed Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a see through transparent bottle with flip cap. Even though the brand isn’t easily available here, I was in for a pleasant surprise since the quantity given for such a price was a steal!

The fragrance is like that of Sunsilk shampoos. I am not sure whether the packaging is leak proof during travels but surely it is not travel friendly just because of its huge size. The shampoo is olive green in color and consistency of the shampoo is runny, but you only need a little amount of the product to work up a good lather. I have thick, wavy hair that falls just above the hip and this shampoo is a relief because I don’t have to use more than a one rupee coin size quantity!

I really liked this shampoo in conjunction with the matching conditioner (Boots seaweed conditioner). It has lived up to my expectation, works without leaving any greasiness or oil and it left my hair feeling soft and smells amazing. My hair was manageable enough to be styled well and visibly became healthier after a couple uses. The best part of this shampoo is that it made my hair feel lighter and yet full of volume. I am delighted that I can find it in my local supermarket at such an inexpensive price but availability is really an issue in other parts of India. I would say this one of the best shampoos available in this price range.

The only con I would point out is the boring packaging. Apart from that I love this one.

Why I like Boots Seaweed Shampoo?:

  • Smells yummy and luxury for me.
  • It lathers well and not much quantity is required.
  • Cleans the scalp without any greasiness.
  • Gave smooth and shiny hair.

Why I don’t like Boots Seaweed Shampoo?:

  • Nothing other than boring packaging.

MABH Rating: 4.5/5

Final verdict:

A must try shampoo in this price range.

I don;t care about the boring packaging! The quantity is huge and since it works good, I am definitely buying this next. As such, I needed to change my shampoo.
