Today I am going to review a lip color that came as a gift to me a while ago. This is a cool brown shade called Revlon Color Burst Lipstick in Shade 60 Chocolate.

My Take on  Revlon Colorburst Chocolate Lipstick:

I like the packaging since it looks classy and sophisticated. It comes in a matte black case which has crisscross dents and the brand name is written across the center. There is a sticker at the bottom of the lipstick with the shade name and number on it. The lid snaps shut with a click and the lipstick can be easily carried around in a makeup bag.

This is a gorgeous chocolate brown shade which can be described as a chocolate color with a subtle hint of plum when worn on the lips. It has no shimmers or glitter and it gives a glossy finish on application. This lip color is highly pigmented and can be ideal for party or festive wear. For daily use, one swipe will do. The intensity is build-able. This shade would suit all Indian skin tones as it is a very classic color. It gives a beautiful definition to the lips.

The texture is very smooth, soft & creamy yet it doesn’t break or melt off. You can apply it directly or use a lip brush. It glides smoothly and effortlessly on lips and it is also moisturizing. I usually use a lip balm before applying a lipstick. There was no flaking problem with this lip color otherwise too. The lip color is not greasy, patchy or heavy but is very light on my lips. It gives an even finish to the lips and doesn’t accentuate the fine lines. Pigmentation in lips will be covered well. A prerequisite for using any lip stick is exfoliation. Otherwise any lip color will look ghastly.

The staying power is 4-5 hours on my lips with a little eating and drinking. It transfers easily on to cups. It wears off evenly but leaves a mild tint on the lips.  It can easily removed too and doesn’t create a mess.

It is a beautiful shade that everyone should try. The texture and pigmentation makes this product a worthy piece.
