Khadi Haldi Magic Cool Gel with Clove Oil Review

by Arshita

How are you doing amigos? Today, I am reviewing Khadi Haldi Magic Cool Gel. I bought this almost one and half year ago and here are the details of this product.

Claims of the Skin Gel:

An ayurvedic cleansing gel with extract of turmeric which removes dirt and pollutions from the skin pores. It is also an antiseptic pores cleanser.

Price and quantity:

Rs. 130 for 210ml.

Key Ingredients:

Turmeric, Aloe vera and Clove oil

Usage Directions:

Take required quantity on cotton; rub on face elbow and neck for 5 min. Clean with cotton.

Shelf life:

24 months.

My Take on Khadi Haldi Magic Cool Gel:

Khadi Haldi Magic Cool Gel comes in a transparent bottle with a flip top cap. The bottle is not sturdy, but the cap is. The gel smells like turmeric and clove which is very nice. It is a thick yellowish off white gel with some minced turmeric within it.

When applied on the skin, it feels cool instantly. The thick gel spreads on the skin very easily. I used it as it was directed on the bottle, but the result was messy. I applied it and then rubbed it with fingers and cleaned it with wet cotton. But not even 1% of dirt was cleaned; only the gel and the turmeric particles came off. Also, not washing it off made my skin sticky at that moment and after sometime it starts to itch. So, I needed to wash it off.

So, actually the product is full of confusion in itself, I don’t think it is a cleansing gel; neither it is a gel to leave on. I used it as summer gel, after cleansing my skin with actual cleanser; I used to leave it on my skin for a few minutes and washed off. It did no good and no bad to my skin. I don’t remember what I was thinking when I bought this. I don’t have any personal grudge against the brand Khadi, I in fact love some of its products, but this Khadi Haldi Magic Cool Gel is totally worthless to me.

What I like about this Gel?:

  • It gives a cool feel.

What I don’t like about this Gel?:

  • Contains preservatives.
  • Not a cleanser.
  • Usage direction seems incorrect (to me).
  • Does nothing to my skin.
  • Itches when left on as directed.
  • Price is too high for the quality.
MABH Rating: 0/5.
Do I Recommend?:
No. I know you are not crazy like me, so don’t go for it.

Would I Repurchase?:

No!

Have you tried any cooling gels till date? Which is your favorite skincare gel?
