Coloressence Aqua Makeup Base LF-2 Brown Review, Swatches and FOTD

How are you all amigos? Today I will review a makeup base from Coloressence. Coloressence is the cosmetic range of the brand Nature’s Essence. So, here are the details of the product.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 110 for 35 ml.

My Take:

The weird fact is I never found a perfect foundation shade for my face, many brands and many shades I tried but in vain. This one foundation is quite close to my perfect foundation (yet to find). I am actually a no-makeup type girl, so I always like to wear very light make up. The lighter shade foundation gives me a white cast, and the warmer shades make me too warm, and finally at the last moment I use only cream compact and leave the house.

So, after all these years, I finally got a good foundation for me. No more sad stories, now coming back to the product, this product comes in a short fat tube with a screw cap. Packaging is quite good; I don’t like heavy glass bottles (like Lakme or Amway). It smells very nice which is bonus.

It blends easily and covers pretty well. It covered all my post acne scars (win-win!). The best thing about it is it does not feel heavy on my skin; best for day wear. It does not break me out (I always use aloe vera gel before applying foundation). Though it does make my skin sweat a bit (or maybe I do sweat myself), but then it does not melt or cause any partly discoloration; it stays intact. Now, about staying power, it stays until I wash it off (I sweat a lot but I keep dabbing tissue lightly on my face to prevent sweat). It is so light that if I don’t sweat much, I won’t even feel I have applied foundation.

It might not be preferable for those who want a high make up look. But it can be a great foundation for those who prefer light make up. It can be used as a primer or concealer also. The shades are very limited which send me into a horns of dilemma but ultimately the store lady suggested me this LF-2 Brown shade. This shade is actually warmer than my skin and that is why the blemishes and the acne-spots are covered completely. As I don’t prefer high make-up I only apply compact powder after this to even out skin tone and I am good to go.
