Colorbar Velvet Matte Bare Lipstick Review, Photos and Swatches

Long time, no see!! I am now sitting comfortably at my home after the hectic hostel life. I missed, everyone of you, your sweet comments, everything. If there are any girls staying at hostel, please I badly need your advice. No more feelings, Today I present to you girls, one of the most  popular lipstick from the Colorbar range of cosmetics – BARE!

My Take

Colorbar Velvet matte lipsticks come in a chubby silver packaging. It does not look cheap nor attractive. But shade location becomes really easy due to the colored ends.

Bare is a mixture of pink peach and brown. Quite a MLBB shade. This shade confuses me a lot, as it looks more pinkish than nude on me. Sometimes coral too. Sometimes more of a peach..Grrrr.. But overall a pretty color. I have a wheatish skintone and it doesn’t wash me out. It is best suited for fair-medium skinned girls. Dusky beauties should definitely try it in the store before purchase. The texture is really smooth. No tugging and pulling over the lips. A lip balm is definitely needed beneath the lipstick as it dries out lips a bit.

This is the one I was waiting for a long time. It is extremely pigmented. Just one swipe and you get the color that is exactly in the tube. Awesome pigmentation it has!. And yes, staying power is maximum. That means 4-5 hrs if applied normally. 6+ hrs if blotted with a tissue and reapplied. Pretty cool na? It stains lips so badly. I mean it. So badly. Stain stays even through a night.

 

On My Lips:

Swatch Test:

I swatched the first swatch now and the later one had been swatched yesterday evening. Even after 18 hrs, the stain is so vibrant. This happens on the lips too. It stains so badly that if not removed would stay all night.

Why I like?:

• Prices have been hiked, yet it is affordable
• Easily available at all Colorbar counters
• Smooth texture
• Pretty pretty shade, stunning daytime shade
• Awesomeeeee pigmentation, just one swipe is good to go
• Staying power is too good, 5-6 hrs easily
• Chubby packaging with colored ends

Why I don’t like?:

• Dries out lips a bit
• Stains lips so badly.

Not this particular shade. But I am eyeing some reds and corals from this range.
