All of us love wearing lipsticks. Different shades for different moods right! :) I myself am very fond of Lakme, Elle 18 and Avon ranges. All of them offer lots of shades at pretty reasonable prices. So, mostly when I plan on buying one lip colour, I end buying 3 or 4 at a time.
The lipstick I am going to review today is Avon Simply pretty: Perfect Plum shade. I got this more than a year back. Now, this range is available in a different packing, I guess. Read on, to know more about this lipstick and have a look at the swatches.
Price and Quantity:
I got these through some scheme for 99 bucks :D Later on there was a hike and it became INR 139.
For the exact price, you have got to check the monthly manual of Avon, since there are a lot of different schemes and discounts available, quite regularly with Avon. Quantity happens to be 4 grams.
My Take:
This lipstick comes in a very regular black, plastic twisty tube. I found this packing very boring. I guess, the packing has been changed now to a more vibrant shade. Never the less, the cap fits in quite well and the product is quite travel friendly :)
It is a deep mauve plum shade. The colour pay off is good. You can check out the swatches. I have lured my sister to pose for a lip swatch, in exchange of a Dairy milk :) She is such a sweetheart! Mauve suits, every skin tone, more or less.
The lipstick stays for a quite reasonable time for me. It would easily stay on you for 3 hours and then you would need a touch up. It transfers a bit on cups etc but not in a scary way.
As far as, moisturizing the lips is concerned, it is not very good in that (It would not dry your lips, either). So, apply a little amount of vaseline before you put on the lip colour. On the positive side, it glides on smoothly. It has a semi matte finish to it.

Why I don’t like this Lipstick?:
- Does not moisturize lips much.
- Available through agents only
Final Verdict:
I am quite satisfied with this lipstick and would look out for trying some more shades soon.

Yups, it is a budget buy with decent performance.
Would I Repurchase?:
Yes, I would love to. Sadly, I have no Avon agent in touch currently. Earlier, a neighborhood lady used to do it, now, she has discontinued :(
