L’Oreal Professional Serie Expert Sensi Balance Shampoo Review

Posted on June 24, 2013August 11, 2014 by Venetha

Hi friends,

The climate is getting hotter day by day and it is taking a heavy toll on my hair and skin. My hair used to be soft and manageable but right now it is lifeless and dull. I have thin hair and my scalp gets itchy because of the hot summer. During my recent visit to a parlour, I told about these issues to my hair dresser and she suggested the L’Oreal Professional Serie Expert Sensi balance shampoo. Here is its review.

Ingredients:

It is a long list of chemical, so I have attached a picture for you to view.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 500 for 250 ml.

My Take:

The shampoo comes in a sturdy transparent plastic bottle with a cap that does not leak. The nozzle is quite big so one has to be careful while using it.

The shampoo is a clear liquid that is quite runny as you can see in the picture. It has a chemical fragrance like that of spirit. It is just bearable but many may find it hard. It does not give a rich lather and this result in a lot of product wastage. If you oil your hair before washing, then you will have to shampoo your hair a few more times than usual to remove any residue.

It gives a very mild cooling sensation when applied. It makes my hair and scalp squeaky clean. The product build up caused by styling can be removed using this. It controlled all the itchiness I faced due to heat and pollution. The hair looks more voluminous after shampooing. It will not provide moisture for the already dry hair. I used a good conditioner and that took care of the mild drying effect of the shampoo. I will use the shampoo as long as the summer lasts.

PROS:

  • Cleans hair and scalp thoroughly
  • Boosts the volume of hair
  • Clears product build up
  • Controls scalp irritations

CONS:

  • Price is on the higher side
  • Might not suit dry haired people
  • Contains SLS and parabens

Rating:

4/5

Overall verdict:

It is a good clarifying shampoo. Though it seems costly, the amount of product we get compensates for it.
