Jovan Musk Perfume Deodorant Spray For Women Review

Hope you are all having a great time. Today I am going to review the Jovan Musk for Women Perfumed deodorant spray. Jovan, Inc. introduced their fragrance range in 1972. I picked this deo from Health and glow a little while ago. I was searching for a good deo for summer. I have been using Dove and Nike range over these years. Since I was planning to try something new, I brought this one with no second thought. Please read further to find out about my experience.

My Take:

Lets first see what Musk means. Musk is an odorous glandular secretion from the male musk deer and is extensively used in manufacture of perfumes. The substance has been used as a popular perfume fixative since ancient times and is one of the more expensive animal products in the world. Modern use of natural musk pods occurs in traditional Chinese medicine. Ayurveda considers musk as a life saving drug and used in various cardiac, mental and neurological disorders.

This deodorant comes in a long cylindrical can with a spray nozzle. It has bright orange coloured outer body along with an orange cap that fits in tightly. The packing is kept simple with no prints over it. Packing is travel friendly. But when I spray it, it causes little burning sensation. The burning sensation stays for 1-2 minutes and then goes away. After waxing, I don’t prefer using deo’s over skin for 2-3 days. So, I spray them on my clothes. And, I was glad it didn’t leave any white patch on the clothes.

Coming to the fragrance part, I was quite disappointed. I really could not explain the smell but it’s not fruity nor floral. I personally feel that fruity/floral smell makes me more relaxed. But this strong and musky fragrance bother’s me a lot. The fragrance stays up to 5 hours. If you stay out the whole day, you might need re-application.This has got nothing to do with whitening of underarms nor anti antiperspirant and neither it claims so.Overall I would rate it as an average product.
