Wet n Wild Color Icon Bronzer Princess Review

Posted on May 21, 2013July 8, 2014 by Shabby

Hello Everyone!

Wet and wild is a very popular brand in US and it is specifically popular for their budget products at low prices. One of them is this color icon bronzer in the shade princess. We Indians are blessed with tanned skin and seldom need a bronzer on a daily basis.

Well those who follow YouTube will know that Bronzer is a phenomena in western countries so I thought why not give it a try and check out the awesome range of products that wet n wild offers. I loved this shade especially for its name (Princess). Well, who would not want themselves to feel like princesses?

Price and Quantity:

$2.99 for 4gm

My Take:

The packaging of these blushes are quite simple and look cheap. Well they are cheap and I’m not complaining at all. I found that the packaging is fine for travelling as well as the casing locks tightly and comes with a brush for application purpose too. The brush provided can do the touch up work quite efficiently.

The bronzer looks quite dark in the pan but you will see in the swatch that it becomes quite light when it’s swatched. I use my ELF bronzing brush to apply it and have found that it does the work quite nicely. I loved how subtle the shade is. While with time I’ve found out that Bronzer is not really my thing on my Sister though it looks very nice. As it has very minute shimmer particles it can be used to contour as well.

I’ve used it to contour on an occasion and found it did a great job. Whilst I am looking for a good contouring powder for my skin tone I am doing away with thus one. For those with fair to medium skin tone this can work really well.

PROS:

  • Fuss free packaging
  • Easy to locate shades due to transparent top
  • The brush included does a decent job
  • Price is relatively cheap

CONS:

  • Availability
  • Shade might not work for dusky skin tones.

Rating: 3.5/5

So will I suggest this to you?:

Yes, and no. Well, yes to those who are looking for a bronzer at a reasonable price and no to those who are looking for good pigmentation and have dusky skin tone can give this a miss.

Will I Repurchase ?:

No, I’ll try some good matte powders like the NYX blush in ‘Stone’ for contouring. Bronzers are not really a necessity for me.
