Oriflame Triple Core Lipstick Catwalk Red Review, Swatch and FOTD

Today I am very excited because this is the second time I am going to review any lipstick. I do not have lots of makeup products, for me using little kajal and a tinted moisturiser is more than enough. I own only 4 lipsticks (all are gifted by my sister) and this one is one of them.

Price & Quantity:

Actual price of this Oriflame lipstick is Rs.449 but my sister got this for Rs.250 during some offer.

Availability: 

Available through oriflame representatives only but this not a problem for me because I have some friends who sell Oriflame products ;)

My Experience:

Packaging: These lippies come in a card box and the color of the box depends on the shade as this shade is called red the box comes in red color. The lipstick is a twist up type one and looks extremely girly. It has a pretty off white plastic body with some red flowers or something like that :P

Color: Oriflame should change the name of this product as it is completely a misleading name! The shade of this Oriflame Lipstick is not at all red. Its a bright peachy pink color which would look stunning on white skin gori gori girls. It does not look that good on me as you can see in the pictures below. Hence I will not recommended this so called red lipstick to wheatish to dark skin beauties :(

Texture: The texture of this Oriflame Triple Core Lipstick is extremely creamy and soft. No matter how dry lips you have, this catwalk lipstick glides smoothly without any hardness. But there is a problem; i.e if you swipe the lipstick for more than 2-3 times it looks very uneven and I don’t know why this happens. It’s a big con of this product.

Swatch:

Smell: It has a mild fruity smell which hardly last for few minutes. Actually it is a pro for me as I cant stand anything with overpowering smell.

Pigmentation: This lipstick is decently pigmented. One swipe would be enough to show up the original colour on pigment free lips. Pigmented lips like me need more than 1 swipe.

Staying power: As it has a very creamy moisturizing formula it hardly stays for 2.5hours on my lips. And it melts crazily, if someone use this daily it will get finished within 30-40days. :(

• Complete ingredients list is given.
• Oriflame does not test on animals
• It’s a beautiful shade which will look great on fair skin beauties
• It has very mild scent which is not at all bothering for sensitive noses
• Soft texture
• Suitable for dry lips
• Does not irritate my lips

CONS of Oriflame Triple Core Lipstick Catwalk Red:

• Extremely bad texture; it settles unevenly if applied too much
• Overpriced (Unless you buy it on some offer days)
• Availability is a problem for some
• This peachy pink lipstick will wash out dark skinned beauties
• Bad staying power

Hmmm no.. I am not at all happy with the texture of this particular lippy shade. My sister has a same lippy which is far better texture wise; I am wondering how

 

Would I Recommend?:

If you have fair skin or have confident to carry any shade you might try this shade. I will not recommended this particular lippy to anyone due to my experience.
