Dove Go Fresh Face Wash Oily Skin Care Review

I hope you all are doing well, beauties. I had bought this face wash long time back and it will expire soon! I never got the courage to use it on my face but finally I tried it and here are the results.

My Experience:

This face wash comes in a cute looking tube with an orange flip top cap and they have mentioned Oily Skin care in front, which was enough for me to buy it.

The texture of this one is somewhat like a moisturizing cream. It does not form bubbles when applied but it foams up like a cream. The foam is thick and extremely creamy and may seem excessively moisturizing. This made me afraid as my skin is very oily and sensitive and if I apply any creamy product on my face, it makes my skin oily and breaks me out. I was so wrong.. this face wash gets washed off in seconds and the most surprising thing is that is tightened my skin, removed every possible trace of oil and dirt and my face was squeaky clean and free of oil.

I love this face wash very much. However, this face wash dries out the skin and will not suit normal skin or dry skin. It has been specially made for oily skinned girls like me (I am doing the happy dance, right now). Finally, I have found the product, which is perfect for my skin. I am extremely happy. Do not freak out by seeing the creamy foam. It is actually for oily skinned beauties! It never ever broke me out or irritated my skin. After my Cetaphil Cleansing lotion, this is my most loved product. It does not make any sky-high false promises and does what it claims. Brightens the skin and my skin is left feeling clean and non-oily. The fragrance is almost same as the Air Wick water based citrus room freshener but a bit too sweaty.

  • Tightens the skin
  • A very small amount of product is required
  • Foams up nicely
  • Specially formulated for oily skin
  • Brightens the skin temporarily
  • Did not break me out
  • Zero stickiness left behind
  • Cleans very effectively
  • No SLS or Parabens
  • Gives a matte look to the face which soon becomes semi matte(due to oil secretion) which lasts for about 2 hours

CONS:

  • Maybe too drying (not a con as it clearly mentions that the product is for oily skin)
  • I wish it was fragrance free
  • Makes the hair stiff and dry if it touches it

P.S: Sorry for the dirty pack.  That is not dirt. They are scratches on the product. I had bought it in 2011 and so the scratches :) Sorry.
