CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara Very Black Review

Hi All,

Today I am going to review a mascara from Covergirl.

 

Price & Quantity: 

$4.33 for 13.1 ml ( 44 fl oz liq )

 

Shade: 

Very Black (800) also available in shades Black, Very Brown and Brown

Product Availability: 

This awesome baby is also from USA brought to me by my sis in law :P but I really hope it to be available in India soon..:)

 

Shelf Life:  

It is recommended replacing this mascara 4-6 months after opening a tube. Sealed tubes lasts for up to 2 years though.

My Experience:

Packaging: This product comes in a very lovely orange colored slender plastic tube with an extremely handy brush with very interesting thick bristles that are designed to separate and curl your lashes as you apply :) Super cool isn’t it??

Shade: This particular product is in the shade Very Black with  a thick and creamy texture which is highly pigmented with intense color. This nascara has a pungent unpleasant odor and its the only flaw really!

 

Mascara – Before and After Water Test: 

How it works: After opening the mascara I started  with pressing the wand of the mascara to the roots of my upper eyelashes up to the tip of my lashes and Voila!! The mascara didn’t clump at all even after 2-3 strokes and dried up quickly. Its amazing bristles prevent the mascara to ever clump .No need of the lash comb :)
This is a heaven for the girls like me who have not so thick but long lashes. It does pump up the volume of your lashes in just a single stroke. I added more strokes to my outer corner lashes and it looked amazing. It really opened up my eyes and defined them beautifully and did not flake at all and despite being non-waterproof It did not run, didn’t sting.

This  mascara has very good staying power about 8 hrs after which it starts to flake a bit but that’s not a big issue for me. For me it met all my expectations of an “Ideal” mascara and I am crazy about it. I haven’t not used any other mascara since then so much so that I have stocked them for the rainy days just in case they stopped making them. :P
 

PROS:

• It really does pump up the volume and make the eyelashes look fuller instantly as claimed.
• Does not clump at all
• Dries up quickly so less chances of smearing/smudging
• The intense highly pigmented color really opens up the eyes
• The applicator brush is excellent, easy to hold prevents clumping and curls the lashes as you apply.
• Also lengthens the lashes along with thickening the lashes.
• Reasonably priced around 250 INR

CONS:

• Has an unpleasant but not very strong odor (Which really is not an a big con for me)

Do I Recommend?:

Yes absolutely! Any girl who get a chance to grab a hand on this wonder product must have this. I swear by this baby :)
