Hello lovely ladies!
I hope you all are doing great. I will be reviewing a sunscreen from Nivea today! It is the one with the SPF 50 PA++ UVA- UVB protection system; plus it also claims to be non – sticky and water resistant. This is the second sunscreen that I have used on me. The earlier one was the Lotus Safe Sun Intensive Sunblock Spray – SPF 50. It was a good one but I got bored of using the same product!
As you all would know Nivea doesn’t compromise on its product quality, I definitely had to pick this one from the brand’s range when I was looking for a sunscreen! I feel that any lotion above SPF 50 will clog the pores of my skin so I had to choose from SPF 50 and SPF 30. I took the former with me because summer is so harsh on my skin and I travel a lot! Also when I am in sun for too long, I feel a burning sensation! I also get badly tanned and therefore a sunscreen is an essential product for me! I feel every person must have a sunscreen in their bag, it is so important!
This product claims to protect against the harmful UVA/UVB rays and this was the first reason why I picked it! Usually we have to apply the sunscreen 20 minutes before going out but now I don’t have to since this gives instant protection as soon as I apply it!
Firstly I will talk about the packaging! This sunscreen comes in a blue colored plastic bottle! The cap is a bit flimsy because the lotion spilled all over my bag while I took it to my college. So I advise you to shut the product firmly before dropping it into your bag! For added protection, you can even stick it with a cello tape! This is what I did because you have to reapply it after few hours! If I skip that flimsy cap issue (which does not happen always) I am pretty much satisfied with the packaging!
Moving on to the texture of the product inside, it is neither thick nor runny! The consistency is somewhere in the middle. Also it has a light yellow tint! It absorbs into my skin as soon as I apply it, thus there is no need to wait for the lotion to dry. The lotion is not at all greasy or oily!
It contains a formula which helps in preventing wrinkles and that is a bonus. But this imparts a little shine to my face giving it a dewy finish! To make it matte, I mix a little quantity of Lacto Calamine Lotion with this sunscreen and then apply it onto my face! This product gives a smooth finish to the face which I like. The signature Nivea scent fades really soon so it doesn’t bother me. When I’m out under the sun I neither do get tanned nor do I get that burning feeling anymore. So I must say this product fits me my skin perfectly!
Price : Rs.495 for 125 ml; Buy : Amazon.in
Rating : 4.9/5
I feel this is one of the best sunscreens out there in the Indian market and so it’s a must try, according to me! Sadly we don’t get this product in a travel friendly size, but for quality, I don’t mind it.
I wish the brand launches more travel friendly options for their products soon! This product lasted me for 2-3 months when I used it regularly and hence I highly recommend it to anyone looking a good sunscreen. Trust me this won’t let you down!
