Lakme Clean Up Face Wash Clear Pores Review

Hello everyone!

I have an extremely acne prone skin because of my oily T Zone area and have suffered from acne since adolescence. So when Lakme came up with their new range of products which as claimed, offers complete clean up at home I had to buy it and obviously I went ahead and bought the clear pores range that includes the face wash, face scrub and face mask. If not for treating acne, I would have anyways bought it, for the cute mint colored tubes look very appealing.

Here, I’ll be reviewing the clear pores face wash and will share with you guys how the product fared in my opinion so, continue reading. Also, stay tuned for the reviews on the scrub and mask which will be up soon.

My Views

The product comes in a mint colored squeeze-out tube and I cannot stress enough on how squeeze-out tubes makes your job easier as you don’t end up with excess of the face wash. It has a sturdy flip cap attached to it and the overall packaging and the small size makes the product extremely travel friendly. You can just throw it in your bag and be assured of the fact that there won’t be any leakages. The silver and mint color combination again, is a big plus has ensured full marks for packaging from my side.

I take a coin sized amount on my wet palm and apply it all over my face, it lathers well so, the above mentioned amount would be enough for a single use. It is a transparent liquid which has a gel based consistency. Once rinsed off, you get a squeaky clean feeling but does not necessarily brighten up the face. For the salon like glow you’ll have to use all the 3 products from their range which is primarily the reason why I use this wash. The major highlights in the ingredients were that it contains iodine, green tea extracts and salicylic acid all the 3 are considered to be god-like for treating acne.

So, I had high expectations from the wash but it did nothing about the existing acne. It did reduce the frequency of breakouts on regular use. Also, I didn’t find any major decrease in the oil secretion. Even with regular usage, I did not find any decrease in the number of pores which is the entire purpose of the wash. It is neither drying nor hydrating so the wash would be suitable to all skin types but the dry skinned beauties may have to apply a moisturizer after cleansing their face. The product has a pleasant fragrance that is not very overpowering and is common to all the products of the range but it dies down within minutes after rinsing off the face wash. As far as the price is concerned it is very economical and lasts for a good two/three months.

Price : Rs. 99 for 50 g

Rating : 3.5/5

Final words

I would recommend this face wash to the people who are looking for a fairly good face wash for regular usage and that offers a good cleansing action so that one can wash of impurities like dirt and grime from the face. But, you wouldn’t see any drastic decrease on the existing acne. Since, it is very economical one should definitely give it a try.
