May, 2016 – Peak summer at my part of the world. (Chennai, India!).
One fine morning, I woke up early; rushed up to the porch to check my newly germinated baby plants! (This is what I usually do after the ‘seed sowing’!) The baby seedlings smiled at me looking fresh, bright and full of greenery, in spite of the horrible sun right above their heads! With the same ‘fresh’ mood, I grabbed a hand mirror to see my face, hoping it’d look all glow-y after all the homemade skin treatments! (Especially, I was hoping for an oil-free, bright glow after I used this special homemade face pack the previous day! Recipe coming soon along with other oily skin care tips for summer!)
BAM! What did I see in the mirror? All I encountered was an oily, sweaty face. No glow. Nothing! To add fuel to the fire, there was a zit near my right cheek bone! (caused due to the greasiness!)
What a bad start of the day an oily skin could give you.. Believe me when I say this; you need not be right under the sun to damage your skin! The strict, unforgiving weather is enough to give you nightmares even if you’re inside your home! Especially for those who struggle with an excessively oily skin, this continues throughout the year!
Conclusion – My face failed to look even 1% fresh compared to my baby seedlings, after all the time I invested in treating it with packs and moisturizers! Blame the Indian summer; or the Chennai summer, to be precise! I somehow needed an IMMEDIATE fix before my skin turned into an oil well, welcoming more skin issues! Before giving a second thought, I introduced the best cleanser for oily skin in the market – the Clean and Clear Foaming Face Wash to my regime discarding all my other facial cleansers that were waiting to be used!
I knew nothing ‘moisturizing’ or ‘hydrating’ would work, at least in this scotching summer! All I wanted was a good cleanser for oily skin, yet gentle for daily use! All I just really wanted was an escape for the ‘oily skin’! I’m happy that my search has come to an end. Today, I shall be sharing my quick review on the Clean and Clear foaming face wash – after using it for the last few weeks!
My Views
The face wash comes in a sturdy, see-through bottle that looks neat! I’m not sure if they’ve slightly modified the packaging (compared to how it used to be years ago) but I’m loving this new bottle so much!
Inside the bottle, there is this clear gel, with well-foaming properties. Just a dollop of the gel gives me squeeze clean, bright face instantly! It lathers very well. (Did I tell you it is free from SLS and SLES?!) It smells so refreshing, similar to that of some citrus fragrance (at least to my senses!). I must say my face doesn’t get dry or dehydrated after washing it with this face wash; thanks to the glycerin!

After using it continuously for weeks, I can now happily say it has everything that’s essential in your ‘face wash’ if you struggle with your oily skin in summers. My face feels oil free and fresh even after hours of using the product! At least for the next 8 hours, as per the claims of the brand.
For an example – I wash my face in the morning; I go to the kitchen to prepare our breakfast. I come back, look at the mirror and my face still looks fresh! Waking up from a small nap, my face still looks oil-free. I enjoy my day to the fullest without worrying about how my skin would look! I feel more confident with the product!
It is in the late evening, my skin starts to show a bit of shine on the T-Zone but the face wash gives 8+ hours of oil free face, which is a boon in this weather! This way, I always am presentable; I need not worry about washing my face multiple times a day just to avoid the oil mess! Wouldn’t it be embarrassing to face anyone with an oily, dull face?! Hence, I choose to be #BeAlwaysReady with my favorite face wash from Clean & Clear!

If you want to brighten your skin, use homemade face packs (or good store bought ones) and never forget to use a moisturizer at night. It can brighten your skin a lot! Dehydrated skin – dull skin.
You are absolutely right, Lancy. This is my savior from summer heat and oiliness. I am using the C&C Morning Energy- Berry one. But, that contains SLS! But, I still love it for the results and smell and also the little pink bubbles in it :DD Hehe

I just use it till now also. It is a boon to my skin… I stopped developing pimples… But in order to try a new stuff I.e. The clean and clear oil control face wash I think I have lost the radiance of my skin… I started developing pimples. So dat is of no use… But clean and clear foaming face wash is the best of all. No one could ever beat it….
