L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Lipstick Pink Passion Review, Swatches and FOTD

How many pink lippy lovers are here? Raise your hands! If you are a pink lover, then this question is for you. Have you ever dreamt about your summer pink lipstick? I mean summer pink. Do you get it? I love summers for only reason. i.e I can wear bright pink and coral lippys! (If this reason doesn’t exist, I seriously hate you summer!) And this lipstick, Pink Passion from L’Oreal Color Riche Range is my recent love! Read on to know more about this lipstick.

My Take:

This Color Riche lipstick comes in a classy golden tube which is easy to use and travel friendly. The shade name is printed at the bottom of this lipstick.

 

Pink passion is a summery pink lipstick with a hint of coral. The texture is smooth and creamy. It glides on to my lips like a dream! The mean reason why I love this lipstick is of course its creaminess. There are no silly shimmers or glitters present in this lipstick. After application, it settles into a fine glossy finish, which turns truly matte in 1-2 hours.

The pigmentation of this lipstick is just awesome! Just one swipe and you are all done. Pigmented lips will love this particular shade. On my lips, it shows bright coral-ly pink soon after application but turns into a beautiful (Read wearable!) pink after few minutes. With more than 3-4 swipes, it shows a bit neon-sh.

At first, I got scared seeing the shade on the tube. I was like ‘Oops.. This is definitely going to wash me out’ but then, I realized that this pink passion shade is a lovely wearable shade for most of the Indian skin tones. I have a dark skin tone and I can still carry it well with good base makeup. It also suits pale, dusky and tan beauties.

One thing I want to mention about this lipstick is that it settle into fine lines if your lips are not well exfoliated. Without exfoliation, your lips cannot carry this shade at all! But this happens with almost every lipstick.

The staying power of this lip stick is excellent! It stays for 3-4 hours on me and then leaves a lovely tint that stays for 2-3 more hours. The lipstick is kiss proof too! (Believe me, I seriously didn’t test it) :P

Overall, I am in LOVE with Pink Passion and I would say it is a great quality lipstick though the price is a bit steep. Once you get it, you won’t regret for it

The shade washes out dusky skin toned girls (like me!) if worn without a good makeup base. If you wear it with your foundation and compact on, you will rock whatever you skin tone is!

CONS

  • Might be a bit drying on dry lips after 1-2 hours
  • Settles into fine lines without proper exfoliation

Do I Recommend?:

I highly recommend this particular shade! If you are really passionate about PINK, then this lipstick is a must in your vanity case. The creamy texture, the beautiful summer pink color and the pigmentation makes this lipstick stand out!

 

Would I Repurchase?

Hmmm To be honest, its a ‘No’.. But wait, I will definitely try out the other shades from this range. Though the price is bit high for me (and all the students out there!) the quality of this lipstick attracts me a lot! I am eyeing out for Red Rhapsody next.
