Yardley London English Rose Refreshing Deodorant Body Spray Review

Posted on January 4, 2013June 6, 2014 by Lanceek

by Arpita

My love for body sprays continues.. A few months ago, I got this Body Spray. My first reaction when I smelled it was ‘It’s so clean and fresh like that of beautiful roses in a garden’ After using it for quite a long time, it has become half of its original quantity but still the fragrance is just the same – elegant and feminine! Let us see how it worked for me.

Claims:

A light refreshing, long lasting Body Spray. Newly refined, English Rose is now an evocative, light, fresh fragrance, combining rose absolute, neroli and chamomile, a heart of rosebud and jasmine petals with amber and sandalwood base notes.

Price:

Rs. 170 for 150 ml

Ingredients:

Yardley London English Rose Refreshing Deodorant Body Spray Review

My Take:

Packaging: Yardley always has elegant packaging and this deodorant body spray is no exception. It comes in a very feminine pink tin pack with the image of a beautiful rose printed on it. It looks aristocratic and the packaging is very stylish. It is travel friendly though it is long but it is very compact. The cap fits tightly and perfectly too. To take out the spray from the bottle, you do not need to keep on pressing the nozzle. Light pressure is enough to take out the spray liquid.

Fragrance: The smell is very fresh, light and royal. It smells exactly as fresh roses. The fragrance is very clean and is perfect for daily wear. It provides you a new energy and the fragrance stays on throughout the day, though it becomes faint as time passes by. The smell is my personal preference. Please first check the fragrance yourself before you buy it

Quality: The quality of this product is so nice that it does not sting my under arm area. Though it may slightly drykjijhi out your underarm area as it contains alcohol but I feel quite comfortable. However, it may irritate super sensitive skin types.

Animal testing: Yardley London English Rose Refreshing Deodorant Body Spray has not been tested on animals and is an ozone-friendly product.

PROS:

  • Stays on for more than 5-6 hours (though smell becomes faint as time passes by)
  • Ozone friendly
  • Not tested on animals
  • Does not irritate my skin, though the alcohol in this product may irritate sensitive skin types
  • Fragrance is very elegant like that of fresh roses
  • Simple but Royal packaging
  • Travel friendly
  • Not much pressure is required on the nozzle to take out the product.
  • Energetic smell
  • Available in two sizes of 75ml and 150 ml
  • Quite affordable

CONS:

  • Contains too much of alcohol! (96%)
  • Smell is a personal choice and you may not like the fragrance.

Rating: 4/5

Do I Recommend?:

Choice of fragrance differs from person to person. Please check out the fragrance before buying. However, if you do like the smell of roses then this is for you!

Would I Repurchase?:

I will not repurchase as I will get bored of this soon but would love to try out other perfumes from Yardley for sure. Nevertheless, I do recommend this Body spray.

Hi, nice review. I too am fond of Yardley products ‘coz they have that Royal touch :))This goes on my shopping list for this month. Was on the lookout for a nice florally subtle scent.
