DIY: Make Your Own Nail Colour

Posted on May 27, 2012October 4, 2013 by Lanceek

Hello all……. Don’t be deceived by the title. You are not making your own nail paint; you are just making you own color. I usually get bored very soon of all the nail colors I have. And I am never able to finish off any single nail paint. It usually dries up without being used or I some how manage to break the bottle due to my carelessness.

So, when I don’t get attracted towards any color that I own, I am tempted to make my own color. Now, making your own color is something a little weird and interesting.

Just follow the following steps:

  • Randomly pick a couple of your favorite nail paint bottles.
  • Drop few drops of all of your selected nail paints into a container
  • Mix them well.
  • There you are with a new color………. Done.!!!!!!!!!

You have to make sure that you have sufficient quantity of the color mixture you have prepared for applying to all your finger nails. Consider for double coat too. It is very difficult to do the same shade color once again. So, make sure there is enough quantity you have mixed.

The ratio of the drops of the colors is your choice. But this color you have got is usually a fascinating one. Because you made it yourself.

Here comes few pictures of the nail color I made.

I have used Cozy Mulberry and Pink Barbie from Lotus, EF 16 (a maroon red) from Elle 18, and a dark grey color from VOV. (Please excuse the broken and the messy bottle.)

I have mixed MaroonRed-CozyMulberry-PinkBarbie-Grey in the ratio of 1:2:3:4.
A new color I got out of mixing.
I hope you enjoyed. Thank you….!!!
