Khadi Jasmine Massage Oil Review

How are you? Hope you are doing fine. Today I will review a product from Khadi. Last winter I found this productl on the leading online store and bought it.

Price and quantity: 

Rs. 120 for 210 ml.

 

My Take:

Well, after reading the product description on the online store, I did not realize that it is not only body oil, it is also aromatic. It comes in the typical Khadi bottle, with a flip cap (which is very tight and strong unlike the bottle).

The smell of the oil is very soothing and relaxing itself; it reminds me of Swedish Spa therapy. Though, the smell of jasmine is not over powering.

All the winter I have used it daily after bath. Though on the online store, it was directed to use it either before or after bath (I prefer after). Whenever I used this body oil, for the whole day I did not feel dry skin; my skin is not super dry though. Another good thing about this oil is it does not leave skin too much oily or sticky like some of the body lotions do. It did make my skin supple and soft (like all body oils do). Only few drops will be enough to spread on the desired body part. I have used it for long 3 months and I still have more than 50% left in the bottle.

At night when I cannot sleep, I rub this oil on my palms and smell it. It relaxes my mind a lot. The aroma of the oil is what I like the most about it. Some of the herbal brand has aromatic body oils that smells like tiger balm (my elder sister reported me).

PROS:

  • Smells aromatic.
  • Gives perfect moisture to skin.
  • Staying power is good.
  • Consistency is perfect, not too heavy.
  • Does not leave skin too much oily or sticky.
  • Fair quantity.
  • Pretty inexpensive.
  • Khadi is a quite popular herbal brand (though all the khadi products are not good).

CONS:

  • Actually there is none for the oil. But Khadi could provide some hardy bottles.

Do I Recommend?:

Yes, if you have normal skin, it will work very well (No idea about very dry skin).

Khadi Gulab Chandan Handmade Soap Review

Hey Girls!

How many of you take shower twice a day or even more than that? Well, I am one of those silly girls who can take shower for any no. of times in a day lol. During the harsh summers, here in Hyderabad, I started taking showers twice a day and that is when I thought of trying the new range of herbal soaps because I didn’t want my skin to get dried up.

Coming to the point, I have been a great fan of the Khadi herbals. This is because they are organic, cruelty free and affordable. Today, I am going to do a quick review on their Gulab Chandan Soap.


Price and Quantity: 

125 gm for 55 INR

My Experience:

This handmade soap is a transparent rectangular bar covered in a thin plastic sheet. Firstly, I’m not fond of Gulab (Rose) flavor or smell I bought it just because it has Chandan (Sandalwood) and for its toning effect claims. I must say it didn’t disappoint me.

When I cut opened the plastic seal, the strong rose smell hit my nose and I almost fainted lol. I don’t like the smell. But once I kept open in the soap dish the smell gradually decreased making it ready to use. When you use it, the rose smell (this time with a hint of chandan) again covers up the nose :/

But once you wash it off, it goes off (for which I love it ) It tones up the skin well without making it dry.
When I use it with loofah, it gives me immense lather which I again love :D I used it in the evening shower and I didn’t have to use a moisturizer in the night (at least when I know I’m going to sleep and do nothing else). As a bar, it is just nice. It works best of oily skin.

 

PROS:

  • Works up super lather and doesn’t make the skin dry
  • Transparent package which shows what exactly we are going to use.
  • Ingredient list is mentioned.
  • Suits almost all the skin types and works best on oily skin.
  • Organic
  • Against animal testing
  • Affordable
  • Easily available

CONS:

  • I can’t think of any.


Final Words:

Well, this is not a must have product but people who love to experiment and who love the rose petal smell can give it a try.

Khadi Mix Fruit Handmade Herbal Soap Review

Hey all!

I am a shower gel person. I hardly use soaps. But for the summer I decided to take a break from shower gels and try out a glycerin based soap. I’ve been using Khadi Fruit Soap throughout the summer and here is my take on the product.

My Experience:

The packaging is very simple. The soap is wrapped in a transparent plastic sheet. No cardboard packaging. It has labels on both the sides with the details of the soap. I’m not going to complain about the packaging as it is manufactured in a small scale industry. What matters is the actual product and compared to other drug store brands, this one is way better.

This soap has a strong fragrance which is not fruity at all to my senses. It smells strongly of coconut oil (at least for me). The ingredient list doesn’t mention any fruits. So this is quite confusing! Anyway! I can bear the smell. It’s okay for me but for sensitive noses it might be unbearable. The fragrance doesn’t linger on after bath though.

The soap has a smooth texture and lathers up really well with a loofah. You can get clean feeling only upon using a loofah. The soap gets rinsed off easily and doesn’t leave behind any slippery feel. I haven’t used this soap on my face. So I’m not sure about how it works on facial skin. For my face I prefer to use my daily cleanser.

This is a very refreshing soap. I can feel my skin squeaky clean. This is what I need for summers. It did not dry up my skin. I don’t feel the need to apply a body lotion after bath. This soap may be drying during winter though. This is perfect for summer use.

Initially I used to find it difficult to grip the soap due to its large size but with regular use the edges soften and the size reduces which becomes easy to use. This soap won’t last for more than a month. This is not a con for me as this proves that the soap is chemical free.

I like the fact that it is herbal and free from chemicals. I’ve already finished one bar and using the second one. The soap looks like a piece of fruit cake to me! Cute!

Continuous usage for over a month now, has made my skin really soft. Kudos to that!

Coming to the pricing, I feel it is economically priced since the quantity is more and it is a herbal product which will not affect your skin in any way.

Khadi Mint and Cucumber Face Freshener Review

It’s summer time which means bad news for my skin. Since I live at the coast, Summers are unbearable and the humidity leads to excessive perspiration. So it is necessary to keep your skin clean and cool at most times. So today, here is a review on my favourite face freshener which helps me in cooling as well as cleansing my skin during summer.


Price and Quantity: 

Rs.80 for 100 ml.

My Experience:

Packaging: The freshener is packed in a transparent spray bottle. It is travel friendly and fits easily in my handbag. It has never leaked nor did I have any problems with the cap. So no complaints in this department. As you can see in the picture, the freshener has a lovely green colour.

Usage: You just have to spray the freshener on your face, wait for around 20-30 seconds and wipe/pat it off with cotton/towel. I just love the cooling sensation upon spraying. It feels so refreshing. If you don’t prefer the spray method, you can use cotton. Just spray a little amount on a piece of cotton and dab it on your face thus you can use it as a toner. In fact I use this as a toner during summer. It’s the best. Besides cooling your skin, it also removes dirt and other impurities by effectively cleansing the pores. I love the fact that it is herbal and has no side effects whatsoever. It never broke me out.

Another interesting thing I’ve noticed is that upon using this freshener I can see a slight brightening effect on my face. But it’s temporary. It has a mild minty fragrance which won’t be bothersome unless you have a very sensitive nose.

I would say this product is suitable for all skin types and is definitely worth a try. It does not dry out the skin either. It is also reasonably priced. I’m not sure about its availability though. I bought this online. I haven’t seen it anywhere in stores here in Goa.
