Hey All!

Faces is a very known brand in India for the affordable range of Makeup. I simply love their lipsticks and eye pencils. Well this eye pencil is from their Long wear Pro range and is in the shade Turquoise blue.

The Faces Long Wear Pencils come at 249 INR for 1.15 g of product

 

My Take:

The product comes in a pencil for which one needs to sharpen as they use it. The main problem in that case is the breakage that happens due to sharpening and the soft texture of the product. That means a lot of wastage of product . The packaging is neat with the pencil having a black matte body and the information are inscribed on it with silver. The shade is presented through a color coded end and caps so that you can find them easily.

The pencil is quite smooth and glides on the lids without any tugging and gave dark color in just one swipe. I apply it on my eyes and even on my oily lids they stay until I remove it with makeup remover. The intensity lessens after 5 to 6 hours but the color remains until fully removed.

The color is a turquoise blue and it’s intensity can be varied with swipes. So I love this eye pencil for the days on which I want my eyes to stand out. I’ve felt no irritations or anything from using this pencil and on the waterline it did not sting my eyes. The pencil is totally worth the 250 bucks.

PROS:

  • Easy to use
  • Available both online and offline
  • Good shades to choose from
  • Staying power is quite nice
  • Price is quite decent and about 100 Rs less than it’s Colorbar counterpart
  • One swipe gives good color payoff

CONS:

  • Sharpening results in product wastage
  • Soft product tends to break while using

Yes. Of course, I keep them in the lower compartment of the fridge door so that it does not become soft . And this is compulsory in summers.

 

Will I Repurchase?:

I will but in other shades. Strangely this shade of blue does not complement my skin tone. I love green and purple.

My Experience with this Product
This Faces Glam on Eyeshadow comes in a cute black case which is handy and travel friendly. It doesn’t come with a mirror or a brush, but that doesn’t bother me. This eyeshadow has a beautiful golden bronze shade which would suit Indian skin tones well. The texture is very silky, smooth and soft. I needed just a little bit for my whole eyelids so, it is long lasting. It doesn’t have any irritating smell or something like that. To say about the staying power of the eyeshadow, it is pretty good. It stays upto 6 hours without creasing or colour changing. After that, it fades eventually and saves your natural look. There are gold, bronze and brown like shimmer particles present in this eyeshadow and thus makes this a party one too. Overall, the shade is highly pigmented, smooth and good staying. The staying power is not the best, but really good. I just expected the price could be little less for the mono shade.

  • Smooth and silky texture. It spreads evenly on the eyelids.
  • Highly pigmented with lovely gold shimmers. Perfect for parties and even highlighting.
  • It doesn’t change colour or crease.
  • A very cute tiny and travel friendly packaging.
  • The shade is very lovely and would suit most of the Indian skin tones.
  • Can be removed easily with your cleansing milk. The shimmers doesn’t scatter here and there.
  • Stays up to 6 hours but I have no idea about the other shades.
CONS
Price could be little less.
My Recommendation: I highly recommend this eyeshadow! It has a lovely shimmery shade and is highly pigmented.

I have always been a fan of subtle, at the same time glossy lip glosses and this is really one among them. This Faces Glam on lip gloss is the part of the newly launched Silk Luxury Makeup Range of Faces Canada Cosmetics. Luckily, I got a very wonderful shade which would perfectly suit dusky skin complexions. This is my favorite colour and hence I fell for it at the first sight. Previously, I reviewed the Glam on Eye Shadow Duo, Silken Finish Pressed Powder and Silken Peach Lipstick from this range and eagerly waited to review this lip gloss. Finally I got time, and here comes my complete review. I will be reviewing the Eyeshadow soon too, that’s the only thing left from this range.

My Views and Ratings


The Packaging
The lip gloss comes in a cute transparent tube with a silver coloured top screw lid. Because of the sturdiness, I would say it travel friendly. The pack is very handy and comes with a soft sponge applicator inside. Every application is in control because of the long applicator. Overall, I loved the packaging. No bad I find in it.

Colour, Consistency and Fragrance
I am very much impressed of it’s super soft rose colour and loved using it every time on my lips. The lip gloss glides smoothly over my lips and spreads without any hardness. The shade is highly pigmented, not at all sheer and has no glitter or shimmer particles in it. Even though there is no shimmer, it is so shiny and glossy which is perfect for everyday use. The best part about this lip gloss is its fragrance. It is a kinda hot caramel mixed with vanilla smell which is so lingering and sweet. This is the best smelling lip gloss I have ever used till now. So, I am not going to cut any ratings for this part too.

How it Works
The gloss spreads so smoothly on my lips without any clumsiness. It gives a shiny finish covering the imperfections up to a limit. I would say it as a good pigmented lip gloss for mature and dark lips. It has a very sweet fragrance but no taste :P that’s better because it will stay on my lips for more time. While coming to the staying power, it hardly stays for 3 hours. This is the only thing I felt little disappointed about this lip gloss. For the price, I expected a little more staying power. But, for its other qualities, this can’t be taken as a major con. And the another thing is, I felt little sticky for the first few minutes. After that, the lip gloss is perfect on my lips. Overall, I loved it!

  6. Moisturizes dry lips well and locks moisture up to few hours.
  7. The shade is not at all overpowering, at the same time it’s not sheer.
  8. Covers pigmentation and uneven color well.
  9. Gives an opaque coverage with two swipes.
CONS
  1. Staying power of 3 hours. I expected a little more for the price.
  2. May be a little sticky for some people.
  3. Contains Parabens (Not a big con because every other product do so)

My Recommendation: I highly recommend this lip gloss to everyone! Almost suits every skin type. The staying power should be better though.

We have already gone through the reviews of Glam on Eyeshadow duo and Glam on Silken Peach lipstick from faces cosmetics. Now, I am reviewing the Silken Pressed Powder. This silken finish pressed powder has few other shades but unfortunately I got this ivory one, which is meant for pale skin tones. I was happy that I received the peach lipstick and this thing made me say uff.. Well, that’s okay. Luckily, this doesn’t give any ghost look on me :P I am using it now and then slightly to touch up my foundation and concealer and it works pretty good on me. By the way, the name Silken finish is very attractive and the range is promising too. Let us move on to my detailed review on this Faces Silken Finish Pressed Powder.

My Views and Ratings
Packaging
The faces silken finish pressed powder comes in a pack that most of the other compacts come, round and flat. It has a press type opening so it is very travel friendly. The other good things about packaging are it’s glossy black colour which makes it look classy and the white puff inside is quite good too, but still I prefer brush for a good finish. It has a mirror, so another plus. I loved the whole packaging but still I expected the mirror to be more wide like that of the glam on eyeshadow duo from faces. (I know, greedy me) :P

Colour, Texture and Fragrance
As I said before I got the ivory shade for my dusky skin type. he he :P Thought that it’s going to give some chalky look but luckily it saved me from looking like a ghost. The ivory shade is very light in colour, would suit pale skins wonderfully. There are decent number of other shades available, so that you can choose one which suits your skin type. The powder is so smooth and thin and has a mild fragrance which every other compact has. Nothing bad to say about it’s CTF factor.

How it Works
 As per the name, it is silky! Yes! It is very smooth in texture, spreads easily without being thick or streaky. The compact stays for a decent time of 6 hours if applied in bare skin and it increases the staying powder of the foundation if topped up with it. This leaves face fresh and oil free, however dry skins will need a good moisturizer to avoid dryness. The coverage is low-medium, it hides minor imperfections and makes skin glow. I faced no side effects or breakouts with it and overall, a great pressed powder for everyday wear!

Hiya girls! Previously I reviewed the Glam On Eyeshadow duo from the New Faces Silk Luxury Makeup Range and now comes the lipstick review. I have a huge craze about lipsticks, that too the ones with more coverage and mild shade :P I don’t prefer bright reds or pinks much as I am dusky. I love all plum, peach and nude shades. Luckily, I got this “Silken Peach” shade lipstick in my faces makeup kit. So, I was super excited to use this and using it for past few days. There are many more shades in this range such as barely there, Candy pink, Crimson, Wine, Red Coral etc.

As cute as usual. Faces silk range makeup cosmetics are really cutely and compactly packed. The lipstick comes in a black ,glossy, cylindrical shaped pack which is sturdy and perfect for traveling. Black is my favorite so it impressed me lot! No bad I could find.

Faces Glam On Lipstick in Silken Peach Shade Review
Colour, Texture and Fragrance
The whole range of these lipsticks is entirely different. This Silken Peach one I got looks deep peach mixed with slight pink in colour, with tiny peach glitters in it. I can hardly see the glitters though. It has a very smooth texture and a lovely vanilla + chocolate fragrance which is so sweet and romantic!

How it works on Me
Sorry, I am not showing the swatch on my lips due to my laziness as usual :D but I do have a lot to say about this peach lipstick. It glides onto my lips so smoothly without any hardness and gives a opaque effect with just 2 swipes. The lipstick is highly pigmented and super peachy in colour. A great boon to dusky and dark beauties yippee! The fragrance is so yummy and stays for a hour or so, after that no fragrance but the colour stays for decently time of 5 to 6 hours even with mild food intake. If used with a primer, you can expect it all day long! It gives a semi glossy finish which is also satisfying but the only thing I wanted is some moisturizing power because it doesn’t moisturize at all, it doesn’t dry out as well. But dry lips will need a lip balm before applying it. Overall, a nice peachy shade with a lovely choco vanilla fragrance and great staying power. Love it!

  8. Super duper Choco Vanilla fragrance. No one can hate it.

  1. Need some moisturizing power. This lipstick might be drying for extremely dry lips.
Recommendation: Surely a beautiful peach shade. I highly recommend. Dry lips will need a lip balm though.

Oh god! The packaging is so cute, glossy and sturdy! Classy too. The eyeshadow duo comes in a small rectangular shaped glossy case with a wide mirror and a pretty eyeshadow brush inside it. Short and sweetly, it is very beautiful, compact and travel friendly. Nothing bad I could find in it.

Colour and Texture
The duo I got had 2 shades. One is amber and the other one pinkish rose, not so overpowering, it’s really mild and lovely. The amber shade has bronze glitters and the rose one has light pink glitters on them, To say about the texture, it is so smooth, glides so easily onto the delicate skin without any clump and yes! It’s pretty smooth, rich and silky as per the name. Both shades had glittery shimmer effect which I loved the most. No complaints about the colour & texture factor too! I can’t even find one.

Faces Glam On Eyeshadow Duo – Amber (Swatches)
How it Works
I am going to finish this part short and sweet, you will know more wonderful things about this eyeshadow seeing my EOTD. The shades are so lovely as they would suit most of the skin colours. Dark, pale, dusky whatever you are! These shadows just gives a flattering effect when worn as single or both mixed together. I prefer using single shade sometimes matching my outfit, thick double duo combination for parties and a very mild duo combination for shopping, hang outs etc. The dull rose near lash line and the amber on the brow line looks really beautiful, however you can do whatever mixing with these duos to make your eyes beautiful. I am just an eyeshadow beginner, yet I feel this one more easy and comfortable for application and getting the effect I desire. The best thing about this duo next to the shade is the staying power. It stays for 5 hours without fading without a primer and 8+ hours you can expect with your primer. The shadow doesn’t crease, clump or fade unevenly. Hoo hoo short and sweet? I did this part more long :P because I love the duo so much! Seeing the quantity and the quality, it’s inexpensive I would say. Overall, its a good duo with a great staying power, lovely shades, shimmer effect, smooth texture and a good shelf life of 3 years. A single pan will last longer really. Give a try for sure! There are some other shades from on this Duo case. The new Silk Range Duo rocks as per the claims!

PROS
  1. Lovely shades, perfect for formal, casual and party wears. The trick is how you use them!
  2. The glittery particles gives a rich effect and highlights eyes and brow bone line.
  3. The staying power is really fantastic! Stays up to 8 hours without smudging or creasing with a primer. 5+ hours without a primer which is a very good staying time. 
  4. The duo shades doesn’t smudge and scatter all over face which most of the shadows do so. This will avoid shimmers showing here and there on your face.
  5. Even though it stays so long, gets removed with a single swipe with your cleansing milk.
  6. I guess it is water proof because stays on my eyes with heavy sweat too.
  7. These duo shades suits with most of the other shades, you can mix it for different effects.
  8. For the quality and quantity, price cannot be an issue. It is quite affordable.
  9. Doesn’t fades unevenly. It is not going to fade at all for the whole day actually :D
  10. The packaging is glossy, cute, compact and travel friendly.
  11. A wide mirror inside which is so useful in applying the shades.
  12. The double side eyeshadow brush avoids mixing of shades. The brush is black and pretty too!
  13. Fragrance is very mild, you cannot find any artificial flavour in it.
