VLCC Style Statements Bloggers Event, Chennai : Q & A Session, Photos and My Experience

Hey, people!

Last month, I got to attend the #VLCCStyleStatements event in Chennai! Bloggers/influencers across the city were invited and I’m glad I was a part of the event! I had a good time there getting to know a lot about skin care, hair care and treatments provided by VLCC! Today, I’ll be blogging about my experience at the event!

The VLCC wellness center is situated next to the Pachaiyyapa’s College in Poonamalle high road. Though it was in the middle of a busy highway, the ambiance inside was truly calm! Once I reached there, I was pleasantly welcomed by the team and the bloggers who had come were having the refreshments (Fruit salads, drinks, and chocolate cookies!)

Salads and drinks!

Q & A Session: It started a while after I reached! We all gathered in a hall where Ms.Sushmita Verma, the category manager of VLCC, along with her teammates invited us to ask our questions related to skin, hair and their treatments! One by one, the team of bloggers started getting their doubts clarified. I liked how she explained every query in detail!

Listening to her, I was impressed knowing how their treatments are targeted to cater the needs of an individual’s skin & hair instead of them just having a ‘one treatment for everybody’ kind of scheme. Sushmita explained how the experts/dermatologists at VLCC do evaluate our skin, hair, current routine, lifestyle, health and so many other factors (even DNA) before deciding on how to proceed the treatment. This was really thoughtful and I found their service very unique!

Since many bloggers were present at the place, I limited myself to asking 1-2 questions only! People who’d sent me your queries after this post – please don’t be disappointed! I listened to her till the very end of the session and here I’m jotting down a few skin/beauty ideas she shared at the event!

The engaging Q & A session!

Dark circles/puffiness: Sushmita believes dehydration is the main cause of dark circles, puffiness, and tiredness around the eyes. And hence, she suggests following a proper sleeping pattern/balanced diet chart to combat all these at once! She highly recommends their Derma Eye Heal Treatment that can reduce the darkness/puffiness in a single sitting. The treatment provides 24-hour lasting hydration to heal the delicate skin under the eyes!

Dandruff? : For dandruff, Sushmita suggests maintaining a clean scalp! She explained how oiliness is NOT the only cause of dandruff but dry scalp can also cause it! (and they’ve different treatments for that!) She busted a few myths related to dandruff and on a final note, she admits there’s no permanent cure for dandruff but it can be prevented and reduced by cleansing and hydrating the scalp right. She recommends their PURITY program (spa) to cure the itchy scalp and reduce dandruff to a great extent!

Split ends? : According to her, weak hair strands shed sooner than they should and split ends are also caused due to the weakened hair roots. She suggests avoiding too much of heat on the hair to prevent split ends and hair loss! They have this the RECONSTRUCT program (spa) to heal and repair the damaged split hair! She suggests taking a break for a month after 10 sittings and then repeat the procedure to maintain the health and shine of the hair! The VLCC spa works incredibly to nourish the hair shafts to provide lasting shine and bounce!

Dull, Sun damaged skin? : I actually asked this question to Sushmita! She said blemishes, dullness and dark patches caused due to the sun damage are treated with brightening/lightening facials at VLCC and other than this, they provide the ‘Vampire Facial’ which sounded very innovative to me! (Do check out the VLCC blog to get to know more about their treatments!)

(Madhu, one of the team members, explained how sun damage can be prevented with the proper use of sunscreen and how SPF 50 is not going to prevent your skin for a whole day but reapplication is needed once in 4 hours!)

So the Q&A session lasted for a long time and Sushmita patiently addressed all our concerns with a smile on her face. Simultaneously, the bloggers got a relaxing foot massage! I liked how the entire team was kind and friendly towards us! After the session ended, they showed us a quick demo on a couple of eye makeup looks and one was tried on Gunavathy! I loved how the smokey eye turned out. It was bold, not too glittery and attractive! Perfect bridal look!

At the end of the demo, we were greeted with a VLCC goodie bag and a gift hamper! It contains the following products from VLCC – Shape Up 10-in-1 skin enhance oil, Slimmer’s Herbal Infusion and the Diamond facial kit!

Golden smokey eye makeup look! (in progress!)

Overall, my experience at the event was very pleasant! I totally loved their service at VLCC and the way they organized everything. I look forward to visit the place sometime for a facial! And yes, I’ll be testing out these products in the coming days! Do stay tuned for the reviews!

Honestly, I’m not used to wearing loud makeup outside. But I’m definitely thinking to try a makeup look next time. I somehow felt funny among the other bloggers there – without a hint of color.
