Hello ladies!
Today I’ll be reviewing the Blue Heaven Innocence Matte Lipstick. I recently had an urge to go for matte lipsticks! They are so vibrant and nice in colour! And this one? It’s absolutely pink in colour! (And I love pink!) So I bought it without any hesitation!
My Views
The product comes in a dark purple shiny lip cover. It’s absolutely professional looking and the font on it is silver in colour. Not only the colour of the cover, but the base is absolutely nice too! It has a silver metallic look but actually is a plastic base. The colour code is written at the bottom. After twisting the base, the lipstick which comes out is hot pink in color!
The finish of the lipstick is pure matte and is light and vibrant in colour! The smell is sweet and nice. Upon applying, it gives a pure matte finish and looks so attractive! Definitely light hot pink in colour and a hot pink lip liner goes well with it. We all know matte lipstick dries out our lips faster, and this one is getting no exclusion! It dries up lips faster too.
Its staying power is average, 4-5 hours if not touched or licked so many times (I have a bad habit of licking my lips, especially in winters!) and it can survive through a meal, after 5 hours, you can expect a pink tint on your lips. Well, I wore it just before lunch (for a test) and after I washed my mouth, well it was still there! Then I licked it till it faded (bad habit!) but a pink tint was still there.
I was desperate to get pink lips in school (well natural pink lips looks pretty!) so just before I left, I dabbed a bit of this matte lipstick on my lips and rubbed it, and there it was! Pink Lips! Well, therefore, this can be used as a lip tint as well! Just wear a bit of Vaseline to ensure you have moisturized pretty pink lips!
After hours of wearing this matte lipstick, the removal process won’t be too hard. You can use your cleanser to remove it, and there would be a light pinkish tint left (not bad!) and well if you used it for a trial and want to remove it, it won’t be hard too!
But, I don’t wear it often because when I get tanned, wearing it makes me look stupid. Well, as it gets darker near my chin and above lips than my face when I am tanned and then using it, I feel awkward (I feel like a gorilla!).

Overall, the lipstick is average for me as I can’t use it all the time (tanning issues!) and I don’t recommend it if you have darker skin tones as it won’t make you look better. The shade can wash you out. But at the end of the day, it’s totally up to you if you want to experiment with it!
If you have a lighter skin, you can give it a try! However, I am not looking forward to buy it again since I believe darker lipstick shades would be better for me!
Totally heart the shade. I have used many lippies from Blue Heaven and they have fared really well in the terms of pigmentation and longevity. Nice Review.
