Today I have come up with a review of another shampoo from the new Garnier Ultra Blends range! (I’ve previously reviewed the Royal Jelly & Lavender variant!) This time, it is the Henna and Blackberry. I bought this for my mom and will be sharing her experience with the shampoo. My mom has wavy and fine textured medium length hair with oily scalp. She has been using this shampoo for two weeks now (4 washes precisely). Please read on find how it fared on her coloured hair.
This shampoo comes in a purple, transparent bottle with golden flip-top cap. The label graphics looks very beautiful and classy. The cap has an engraved leaf shape at the opening. Both the bottle and the cap are made of hard plastic and are very sturdy. The packaging is fuss-free and leakage-proof!
The shampoo is transparent with slight purplish tint to it. It has gel-like consistency and is a bit flowy. My mom does not mind the runniness so it is not a con for her. It has a distinct and sweet floral smell. The fragrance does not seem artificial to my mom. It reminds her of expensive perfumes!
My mom has a wavy medium length hair. Although she actually had oily hair, only her scalp is now oily and chemical colorants has made her hair ends dry and dull. She washes her hair twice a week. She likes to pre-condition her hair the previous day of shampoo day as she does not like to use conditioner afterwards. The shampoo has been able to cleanse her oiled hair very efficiently with normal amount of the product. It did not leave any oily residue behind.
She has been using this shampoo alone for two weeks now and the result is already showing! The shampoo has added extra shine to her dry hair without weighing it down. Her hair fall due to breakage has lessened too. All in all this shampoo has exceeded my mom’s expectation.
This shampoo also has some wonderful herbal ingredients in it and is fully paraben-free. It has blackberry fruit extract and henna leaf extract! Blackberry fruit extract is a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants which promote hair growth. It also helps to fight with environmental damages and makes hair bouncy. Henna leaf extract is considered as a natural hair conditioner that promotes hair growth. It also prevents dandruff formation and itching in scalp while strengthening hair.
This product also contains glycerin and castor oil. These two ingredients are great hair nourishing agents that prevent dryness in hair. In spite of all these goodies, there are also some harmful ingredients present in this shampoo. Sulphate, silicone compounds and alcohols are among those harmful constituents!

Overall, my mom is quite happy with the shampoo. It has nourished her hair, cleansed her scalp without harming her hair colour. Plus it adds extra shine and volume to her dull hair! She likes to use budget friendly products and this shampoo has fulfilled this criterion too!
